The Gris liner is a stunning grey - not too dark not too light, right down the middle.

The Misty duo is really pretty, but the darker shade really doesn't show that violet/purple on as it comes out more of a charcoal violet as you can see in those swatches in the link. The lighter side is a really pretty soft violet. Maybe it will show up different on others, but it is a dark smokey color.

For some reason, scented products make my skin break out
ssad.gif
I don't have problems with scented lippies though. I've been afraid to try the blushes for fear they will leave me with little bumps (so attractive) that I sometimes get with blushes that have scents or oils. But they are soooo gorgeous! If there was a counter nearby -- I would just try them out first. Next time I'm traveling anywhere near a Chanel counter -- I'm going to go crazy!!

Me too - anything scented breaks me out EXCEPT Chanel products
th_dunno.gif
That was one of the reasons I was afraid to even try their skin care - the scents/perfume - but just the opposite, my skin LOVES Chanel anything - even the scented blushes
icon_eek.gif
Now that may not be the case for everyone, but it certainly surprised me.

Oh, good to know the scented Chanel products don't break you out!
th_DANCE.gif
I definitely want to try out some blushes -- so I should just go ahead. What is it about the Chanel blush colors that just don't compare to others? They just look so gorgeous and glowy from what I have seen

They kind of melt into your own skin making it look so soft, natural & glowy - imo. They don't seem to just sit on top of the skin like a lot of blushes which can sometimes make them look powdery or unnatural

ISa, thank you - all is well - I'm just battling a sinus infection and it's making me blah. Hercules had a fabulous weekend, and we've not had to medicate him but one time since Friday, which thrills me. He is his old self, which makes me very happy.
yes.gif

A full day, eh? Good for you!!! You will get around to the colors - we have no worries here!!!
th_hug.gif

I must check to see if I have Sweetness - for some reason I don't think I do, but then I think, how can that be?
icon_eek.gif
It's PINK!!!
team_pink.gif

I'm thinking one of the cream blushes would be a good base for LVeR or one of the other pink blushes too....must give that a whirl.

I have to go into the office tomorrow, so makeup is a must - I think I'll keep it simple with the Taupe/Delicat duo, a nude-y lip like Myself
love.gif
and maybe Orchid Rose........
th_dunno.gif

Makeup dreams....wow.....I can't say I've ever had one of those - but wish I did! My dreams seem to center around travel...I'm always somewhere besides home, and either forgetting a suitcase, missing a plane, losing my purse, or having my car stolen.
th_crazy.gif

Cheryl sweetie, thank you so much for all -- I have made it through day 2!

I am so happy to hear Hercules is doing well -- every day is an achievement and one always one foot in front of the other

I have just about the most hypersensitive skin (with rosacea) imaginable and the JCs are fine on me. Surprisingly I do better with the US ones, which contain mineral oil (which I usually react to), than I do with the Euro ones, which is kinda unfortunate considering they will all be Euro going forward. I can't use any of the skin care that I've looked into because I react to propylene glycol. Anyway...my point is the scent in the JCs does not bother me and I have problems with so, so many things including lots of scents. Definitely do give the JCs a try!

I am thinking I may pass on the duos for now too. I dunno, but they just don't wow me in pictures, maybe it's my monitor.

Hi Meg!
wavey.gif

I have Beige Guitare - it is really pretty! It's looks great as Michelle said - with a nude lip, or really over anything. I love the multi-sparkles in it!!

I wore the Taupe/Delicat duo today and I really love it! I could not believe how it turned the color of my eyes! They looked almost teal-colored!
th_dunno.gif
I just wore the duo, with Espresso liner. Wore Dainty on my cheeks - I don't wear that one often, and Winthrop, I know what you mean - but for some reason it just seemed to be the perfect complement. I wore Chanel nude liner with Blizzard glossimer, and actually did a double-take in the mirror when I got to work! I don't always have the best lighting at 5:30 in the morning, so what I look like when I get to work is sometimes a surprise
girlhaha.gif
. These shadows blend really well together - I can't explain it, but it didn't take a lot of effort on my part to get the look to come out right. They are really pricey.....that's the only thing about them. I would love to have them all!
yes.gif

I will wear Gris tomorrow - I didn't realize that these were being promoted with the duos - I just pulled it out of the cup yesterday and thought it was one that had been around awhile...little did I know!
tong.gif
As Elegant said, it's right up the middle - not an easily dupe-able color.

ISa, congratulations on Day 2!!! Like you said, one foot in front of the other!!
th_hug.gif
th_hug.gif

Back to work for me.....deadlines tomorrow.

P.S. Michelle - I sent an email to Rock & Republic to ask when they're going to restock their blushes, and they said within the week......

th_DANCE.gif
Just by looking at it, you would think its like all the other taupe/brown/neutral colors, but not really. That's awesome that it makes your eye color pop
graucho.gif

Yep, they are of the best dreamy consistency & work/blend together like no other shadows I have ever owned. I guess they melt into the skin kinda like the blushes. Its a good thing they are perm.

The duos sound amazing! I am so tempted. I just have so many shadows. Maybe if I depot my 60+ MAC shadows and put them in palettes, I'll feel like I have more room
smiles.gif
The texture sounds amazing! Your look today sounds so pretty -- did you happen to take any pics? I love to see what everything looks like on!
Oh, you'll have to try and snag Call Me when R&R re-stocks (did you end up getting Kinky?). I've bought 4 R&R blushes in the last few weeks. I just got Foreplay today (what is up with those names?? lol).

Winthrop -- oh good -- it seems like everyone loves the JC blushes. So they are all going to the baked, non mineral oil version? Hmm, I've heard lots of people say they like the US version better. I guess I better get a few now before they switch the formula! It is strange, because I even react to the MAC mineralized blushes (but I love the way they look on). But it seems like no one is having probs with the JCs -- yay!

^^ Michelle, I did not get Foreplay - it was back on the site this morning, but I wanted to wait and see if I can get Call Me. I did get Kinky....I haven't worn it yet though - must think that outfit through first!
th_roll1.gif

I did not take pics - I was going to but forgot. I will do it again maybe Friday when I am home. I have a feeling it will be a common look for me given its simplicity and predictable results!
yes.gif

I think I must get the Gris duo someday......it's between that and the blue one - one thing I wanted to point out is that Bleu Celestes makes the blue duo look almost grey. The lighter shade of the duo is fairly similar to the next-to-the-lightest blue shad in BC.....and the darker shade looks very dark grey compared to the darkest blue in BC. Those of you with BC might be able to hold off on the blue duo for awhile......

I thought I was the only one who wore specific outfits according to what makeup color scheme I wanted to wear! LOLz

Amazingly, Kinky applies really soft with a skunk brush -- I was a lil afraid to try it at first. But it is really pretty on.

Can't wait to see some looks with the duos!!

I know SMMY deported the singles before, and put up pics for us, but not in this thread. But I've not seen SMMY posting for a long time.

The pigmentation is amazing and the powders were so smooth. The colours open up my eyes and I wore it to office and it doesn't look too dramatic. But it definitely can be worn in a dramatic way. I am wearing Cassis today and it is beautiful. Nothing like MUFE 4L, which is plum, while Cassis is much blacker.

Alright, I am going to the counter at lunch to pick up Rose Dentelle. I need this to go under Rose Dilemma. And if I spend $50 or more, I can use my $10 vip coupon, so I guess I'll have to maybe get Parodoxal. No point wasting a perfectly good coupon, is there?

Warning! There is a malicious virus attack going on on the internet today 8/4/10 - I got it first thing this morning. OMG! I only went to Chanel, Neimans, here & KarlaSugar's site where the holiday chanel was posted - I think that is where I got it but can't say for sure, but it happened RIGHT after I was there. They have all those ad things running - which I never click, but somehow it happened.

Anyhow, Thank God hubby knew what to do. There is a free Prevx that can help prevent this. That is what we used.

scarry cause we couldn't do anything on my computer! Those malicious idiots that do that stuff just to wreck peoples computers & cost them money should be jailed for life & financially punished to the extreme.
