I made the mistake of letting my daughter walk around with my 168, which I let her use to apply a light MSF on her cheeks. I've told her several times that it's for the face and not to get it dirty. Before I knew it, she was using it like a drum stick and wacking it on a container. The metal part is all dented now... that'll teach me. I suppose she didn't actually get it dirty...

I grew up in Florida!! I lived right outside of Orlando and were just 40 minutes away from the coast. What part are you going to?? I can't wait to take my kids there! We have been to lots of California beaches, but the water there is frr-eeezing! The water in Florida is so warm

Lol, at your little girls, Michelle and Nora! The obsession does start early. My mom said whenever I wandered away from her at a department store, she could always find me either in the shoe section or the cosmetics!

We're going to be staying around the Orlando area. I love it there, went for the first time last year. You're right, the water was super warm, and other than my little guy getting stung by a jelly-fish, the kids looooved it there as well!

I just need to get some overtime in at work so I can pick up a purse from the coach outlet and maybe a couple of things at Chanel! I think Paillettes glossimer is on my list too and we don't have this in Canada!

What beaches do you go to when you stay in Orlando? We went to New Smyrna when I was a kid. I am missing the beach so much!! But jellyfish are no good -- yuck! Are you going to Disney while you are there? I hope you have a fabulous time . . . and I hope you pick up some fun Chanel goodies!!

I think we got these coloured mascaras last year. These didn't come with the duos collection. The displayer is different for us here, from the one I see at Karla's. Her swatches are so good!

Chanel Eyeshadow Duos - The Next Best Thing To Going Shopping Yourself

The model is also different, but nonetheless pretty. We have the new mascara and primer, the eye lash curler and I think we have some brow pencils (?). I wished I took pics of the displayer. They are now replaced by the fall collection.

They were released earlier, not part of the fall collection and you can see them in the displayer, all four next to each other.
Let me know how you like the mascara

Chanel is raising their product prices from 20-30%. I know for sure on their bags, clothes and shoes, so I presume their cosmetics will go up too. :/

I bought both of the new CD palettes before they were gone - they're selling fast here! I haven't played with them yet, but I am also a sucker for mauve!

I will let you know what I think, and maybe post a look - do we have a CD thread?

I have to get to some duo looks tomorrow when I'm home - anxious to play with them!!!

It is absolutely gorgeous and so worth it.. the colors are full strength and smooth as butter -- no chalk and not wishy washy. I love this quad -- maybe more than Enigma (bites tongue)

I just used it and it is virtually hassle free and really easy to apply

Last year we went to Daytone (littered with jellyfish) and Clearwater. How is New Smyrna? (in terms of sand, waves). We'll definitely be going to Disney, we still have two passes from last year! It really is such a happy place!

Ya, he was fine, thanks for asking! He was definitely uncomfortable for a few hours, but all better the following morning. Apparently, vinegar helps to neutralize whatever it is that causes the reaction... now we know!

LOL! Your post made me chuckle! It's so true though, as long as we continue to see upcoming products and swatches, we'll constantly have lemmings, and the fact that we're on this forum would mean that we're addicted enough that the temptation will be too strong at some point!

I love mauve-y colours too, but my collection is so saturated now with mauves and purples! I did not read "blackened purple"... nope.

In the 6 years I've been purchasing Chanel, the prices have steadily gone up on cosmetics. I remember paying $18 for a Le Vernis 6 years ago, now they're $23. I think they're more consistent with the price increases on the cosmetics, so hopefully it won't be too much. They're priced right about the same as the other luxury brands, so they can't go up much for now, or their base will go elsewhere.

New Smyrna was one of our faves when we were there. It is pretty close to Daytona (Daytona was always the "party" beach when I lived there -- some parts got pretty "ick" -- I think they have really tried to clean it up and make it more family friendly). New Smyrna is kick back -- waves, but not huge waves. Clearwater is the prettiest out of the bunch!! In the panhandle, Destin is an absolutely gorgeous beach/area to stay!! If you go on Tripadvisor.com -- you can type in the different beaches/areas and it gives you info on everything. Oh, the memories I have of Disney growing up!
I hope you are able to get all of the US Chanel exclusives while you're there!!
