I think Chanel's shade numbers are pretty consistent across the line (i.e. if you're a shade 20 in one type of foundation, you'd be a shade 20 in the other types). You'd probably be Soft Beige (which is #20) in the Double Perfection.

Chanel shades change from one foundation to others and don't match with powders. As far as I know Vitalumiere Fluid carries the lightest shades and powders and foundations don't match to allow better matching on skins. In Chanel, it's the foundation+powder combination what matches your skin. For instance, I'm 40 Beige in Mat Lumiere and 90 Relief in Double Perfection Compact!! I'm also 30 Cendré in Teint Innocence and love 40 Doré Poudré Universell Libre on my bared face. For reference I'm NC 3O. So I'd definitely would recommend to go to your counter and get matched.

I don't think Kristy has a counter to test at...but at least our shades should give her a frame of reference. I have only limited exposure to Chanel foundations, so Hypathya, I will defer to you, as you are the resident Chanel Expert! I'm Albatre in Teint Innocence and Porcelaine in Mat Lumiere. I'm NW15 in MAC.

Cheryl, I am so sad to read about Herc. I'm sorry for your loss.

It's interesting, all this talk of red lippies, finally something that won't result in enabling for me! Love red lips on others, have never liked it on me, won't even try any more!

Okay, here is a smilie that Lauren wanted to insert, so not related to anything, but hey, she's having fun!

Adding to the above comment about enabling, I have however been enabled to hopefully get a hold of one of the Soho polishes (crossing fingers that it works out!). Got a have a few pretty new polishes to go on my pretty new counter in the washroom, right?!

That quad is awfully pretty! I talked myself into Star Glossimer (as if it were that hard) so that I could get it with the free shipping, along with a Steel Le Vernis destined for *someone* with a cute lil' helper.

I figure, if I really don't like Star, I can return it for free. Don't hold it against me if I use that same logic with the Stupendous quad.
