Awww, you have a sweet hubby! How cute that he is so supportive of your habit!

My husband knows that makeup makes me happy, so he is ok with it. But he can never quite wrap his brain around the fact that I need so much. Whatev -- I don't get why he likes sports so much haha!

yea i took some anti-fever for chanel lemmings and managed to set the final terms for myself - i am not going to get the quad until i see swatches...so elegant - please swatch when possible...i am entirely dependent on you!

Bonitinha, Confidence is sheerer on me than Ming. Ming is very creamy while Confidence is glossy. I wore Confidence when I left the house this morning and I'm surprised by its pigmentation - much better than the Aqualumiere glosses. I then switched to Insolence and it lasts longer on me, I think because it is darker.

The extrait de gloss are rather sticky too, but they don't dry out my lips like MAC lipglass. And I love the applicator!

Kudos to Chanel for being innovative!

Ladies who have used the applicator on your lips on top of lipstick, does the applicator gets dirty easily, as in the lipstick wax gets stuck to it? So far I've only used it on my naked lips to test its texture and hold.

Winthrop, Emoi and Exces look different to me. Exces is red while Emoi is deeper (more pink/brown), and it looks like Phoenix, but it is just slightly deeper than Phoenix.

You've gotten some great recs from Shontay and Elegant, but I just wanted to add one more thought. IMO, anyone who really loves a sexy red lip needs to own Chanel's Dragon RAL. It's a glossy, delicious, hot and sexy red that I haven't been able to dupe with anything else. Really, it's that great! Here's a link to Temptalia's swatches/review:

Now I really want Extrait de Gloss!! My lips are so prone to dry I must get tons of lip balm prior and after lippie wearing. Hopefully this will be my way to wear a bit of color without peeling my lips.

I don't have the glosses yet, but if the applicator it's of the same material than the glossimers... yeap it'll get dirty really easy and then the wax/color of lippie will dilute into the gloss. I never apply my gloss with the wand it comes with. I always use a stainless steel spatula to get the product and then apply it with a lip brush. That keeps my glosses in good shape. The other way it's to clean the tip with a tissue.

As for nps coming with Extrait de gloss... I think I better check my stash... I think I may have similar shades to all three!!

I want Jade too! I missed it when it was launched.

I've worn Insolence all day and I love it!

It's even better when topped on a pink lipstick. My lips are dry too and the extrait de gloss is quite sticky so it is a little tricky to apply evenly and without tugging on my dry lips. I can wear the RALs on they own and they feel amazing. I can wear the glossimers on their own too but some of the colours give a tingling feeling on my lips, but no pain. Glossimers are moisturizing.

Great tip on using the glossimers. The metal spatula must be really tiny. I've never seen one but I really need it. Yes, my lipsticks get onto the glossimers tips and when I insert the wand back into the gloss, my gloss changes colour and it is more obvious over time.

Especially with the lighter colours like galactic. But the extrait de gloss sponge is looks and feels different from the glossimer's.

Chanel sure knows how to do marketing. Now we can't get the Soho collection out of our heads.

I think Confidence is on the top of my list. I think it would be pretty over nude lipsticks. I wish I had ordered it when I ordered the Enigma quad, what was I thinking??

You're welcome! The natural lighting was perfect for pics. Dragon is much darker/deeper.

I agree about Dragon - its like no other red. Its so deep dimensional gorgeous sexy red - ever. I patted Dragon over MAC's Cyndi lipstick

Now I can't decide which red lipstick I want. I loved both Excessive & Emotive in the pics. Now what about any of the regular red Chanel lipsticks? I have looked at all them the gazillion times I've been to the counter & should have swatched them all.

I ordered the Soho de Chanel and Stunt RAL.

I'm intrigued by the highlighting powder and light plum blush description.
Stunt looks light plum as well but I'll have to find out when I get. I'm going to swatch Strong and Steel at the Soho store for FNO.

. How have I not get that gorgeous red? I'm gonna pick it up when i do my makeover. Coz I gotta pick up two items with the session, so it'll be Dragon and something else hmmm...now that's the hard part

. I looooove red lipsticks! I own a bunch (prob 12-16) from MAC, Nars and Chanel. One of my fave Chanel reds is Cambon RC. It's like a young girl kinda red and just brightens your face. I'm quite bit lighter than you (NW25) but I know this shade works on everyone. When the RC's came out i say my fave SA who's East Indian and about NC44 wear it and it looked gorgeous on her. But it also looks amazing on me. It's a universal kinda red

Hi girls - well, today is the day for Herc.....I have lost 3 pets in 4 years on Labor Day. I may not be on the boards for a day or two or three - I'm just not in the frame of mind. It's been really tough the last few days - it's like he went downhill all of a sudden. He had been doing pretty well considering, and then Thursday it just got bad. Yesterday we tried an additional pain med, which helped him sleep last night, but I cannot bear to see him in pain. I feel so bad for him. And soon he will be at peace.
