Thank you -- I will definitely check out Tea Rose. I love hearing everyone's recommendations -- it is so hard just going by the colors on the website. I wish they'd get a Chanel counter here (but then, that might be dangerous for me!!)

I can't help you with Bikini Peach as the collection hasn't arrived here... but I definitely can help you with that pink peach blush you want said:

Narcisse is more pink than peachy, IMO. Tea rose, on the other hand, has the perfect balance between pink and peach, it's just absolutely gorgeous!!

From the long discontinued line Irreele, Chanel kept two shades and incorporate them into their Joues Contrast Blushes: Tea Rose and In Love. IMO the greatest Chanel blush shades ever.

Do tell us what did you ended with and how do you like it!!

Thanks for your ideas -- I was looking at In Love also. It is in my "cart" on the Chanel website (why do I love adding all kinds of things to my online shopping baskets??). What are your thoughts on Rose Petale or Tweed Rose for blushes?

Winthrop, that sounds great! I have relatives down that way so maybe I'll ask them to try to snag a sample for me.......ooo la la!!!

I'm not familiar with this, so I have to come out from under my rock now......will definitely check it out.

I'm back in San Fran next week so am hoping my schedule will allow me some prowl time.....

I also swatched Muse RC today, and I have to say I'm starting to like it..... I already have 3 of these and need to stop now......

I went back to the CCO 'near' me (it's not really so close) and picked up BB Gunmetal and Pewter shadows, as well as MAC Violet pigment, The Perfect Cheek, Margin and Sweet as Cocoa blushes (more for a summer 'sunned' look) and some random other 'must-haves'.

Now I just have to sit down with my week's hauls to see what treasures await

Wow - I am excited to get my np! I never thought to do the gift packaging

I wondered why mine just came in a boring box duh!

I'm still thinking that gold in the eye palette would be so pretty - even thinly under the bottom lash line

I'm going to Nordstrom on Friday - my MAC MUA is good about recommendations too - I'm open to all suggestions!

Thanks!

Hun, if you're thinking on a Chanel foundation and you only want one layer to unify and freshen up all, I think Pro Lumiere or Lift Lumiere are great choices for you!!! They both have awesome finishes, although I prefer Pro Lumiere. If my skin wasn't that oily that would be my dream foundation.

Do tell us about your new foundation!!

I don't own any Tweed blushes, as the tweed effect it's only on the top layer, it's not an over spray but it vanishes away with use. The nice thing about it, it's you're left with a blush and a highlighter. Anyway, it just doesn't work for me. But, I do own Rose Petale and it's GORGEOUS!!! It's my third favorite blush shade from Chanel, it's the perfect pink shade for my skin. It's not too bright and not too pale, it's pure perfection!!

Do tell us how it goes...

Nordstrom online has this foundation - I'm at a loss to determine the color I would need though - I'll have to figure something out. I could possibly visit Saks to try it out.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm gonna have a store send me a sample of that foundation

Oooh, I got BB Antigua & Maui this morning

They are so perfect & pretty - especially for our more mature skin

I cannot do a lot of shimmer so these are perfect!

Still lemmin the Chanel liner/shadow palette

Yes, if you're interested in the FS talk to someone at a counter on the phone about your skintone and try samples first. For that price you don't want to be buying something you won't use. Not all Saks carry Chantecaille in-store either. My closest one doesn't. Bummer. The counters I mentioned are the ones I found to be most cooperative about sending samples. The shades, from lightest to darkest in each category are as follows:

Cool: Ivory, Nude, Hazel, Suntan

Neutral: Porcelain (this is what I wear and I am a light NC15), Alabaster, Vanilla, Shea, Wheat

Warm: Camomile, Cream, Sand, Banana

Elegant, do the BB bronzers have bismuth in them or no?

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I figured that porcelain would be best for me, but maybe I'll have them send Ivory too. She told me on the phone that porcelain would be the lightest shade for me.
It sounds amazing. I did notice in the reviews that 1 person said it broke their skin out?

Does Lanolin break the skin out? not that its in this foundation - its in the BB skin tints

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I think it's something that can break some out but - miracle of miracles - it's not something I'm aware of having a problem with myself. Thanks!

Are you referring to mskilicious's review of Future Skin where she said it's now breaking her out? That is a shame because I "know" her from MUA, and it was a real HG for her for a long time. I sure hope that doesn't happen to me because this and Alima MMU is about all I can use without problems. I haven't read all of the FS reviews in a long time as I've been using it for about 2 years now, but if only one person out of 228 reviewers mentioned breakouts I'd say that's pretty amazing, really. The colors are pretty forgiving if you wear it only where needed to even out your skin like I do. I've never before been able to wear a foundation "only where needed" despite always reading that rec, because others I've tried have just not been that blendable/looked more obvious. I wear this over my regular moisturizer (MD Forte Replenish Hydrating Cream) and MAC's Prep + Prime Skin (without SPF) and it is truly a my skin but better look.

I am in awe of Antigua......oh my.

I think we need to have a thread started for us 'mature girls' - get a good conversation going about our 'special' needs ......

I'll check out the liner and see what the deal is - it would be nice if I'd start using some of what I just bought

!!

BTW, I'm not loving the La Mer concealer - it settled into my fine lines and looked yucky. I'm going to try it again, maybe setting it with some BB or Mally concealer powder or something

Me, cause I love gold shadow. But swatches I've seen make it seem kind of blah even though it is so pretty in the pan, the liner seems unremarkable as well. And the $45 can be better spent on some other goodies. I have happily killed this lemming of mine

That would be the only reason I would like it. Yep, but thats what I thought too - only 1 person had that complaint.

For me, any foundation cannot look like I'm wearing foundation. I really love the Smashbox Halo for that reason & its moisturizing. No breakouts & it looks completely natural on.

I think you have me sold on Rose Petale and In Love blush. On the website, I couldn't find Tea Rose. Do you know if it has been discontinued? I have only ordered once through Chanel.com, but I was giddy with excitement as I opened the package. I would also love to order more glossimers, but the swatches are so hard to go by! Good thing I found this board . . . my obsession continues to grow!

If you have questions about the glossimers, I'm sure between all of us we have them all - I have about a dozen of them - would be happy to describe colors to you.

I think Tea Rose is an older color, and yes, it appears to have been discontinued.

I've just been going through my Chanel collection, and wow. I have amassed quite a bit over the years - I've been so distracted by MAC I've forgotten these lovely creatures......they are now out of 'mothballs' and back in the arms of love
