Cry Baby is old skool Chanel (for me, anyway)...from 2004. Those glossimers and matching nail polish were my very first Chanel purchase.

Mine too! My favorites were black tie

and Tickled Pink. I had both the glossimers and matching nail polishes.

My very first glossimer of all time was Ice which was a silvery blue. It went with the makeup I did for my senior prom & my dress.

Got my Chanel es - Deep Taupe & Heather Rose. The colors are soft & just lovely! These eyeshadows have the best feel/texture - so silky smooth.

I tried the Argan oil last night. My skin did not freak out! This morning my skin was incredibly soft & it did look very soft glowy. I hope it continues to be great for my skin.

I've been wearing Deep Taupe all week with various combinations of other colors (over Root, as you suggested) - they're very blendable and nicely pigmented!!

I'm ordering the Argan oil from Sephora today

You have my beloved Root!

They really are such silky shadows. Cinnamon is a really pretty darker kinda bronzey brown.

I'm afraid that if I end up really loving the oil, that I will want other JM products
cry.gif

Mine came with the blush/lip stick. Its really pretty on, but I hated, hated the smell, taste. It ruined my afternoon cup of coffee
throwup.gif

I got a Chanel sale email today! Its for the Boutiques. I want to go to a Chanel boutique so bad. My son & his wife went to the one in Paris! ahhhh

I have Cinnamon too - it's a great color!! Yes, I used it for the first time earlier in the week - it does provide a great base!! I also have Bat Black, which I'm dying to try as a base for a darker eye look......

I don't think I'll venture out into another line - and if you hated the smell and taste, all the more reason not to!

Gross!

I only get random emails from Chanel - got one the other day about their new coton pads for eye makeup removal

I've been using MACs two oils, and I really like them. When they're finished, I might try the Argan Oil. I really do like the mineral oils for a little added moisturizing, especially at night. They're not too heavy, and I think that when winter comes I can use them during the day (as well as at night), instead of replacing my regular moisturizer with a heavier one.

Yeah, I'll just stick with just the oil - if it continues to work.

What about Chanels new color Black Star? I did not see it to swatch. Anyone have that es?

umm yeah, probably won't be buying my cotton eye pads from Chanel
lol.gif
I didn't even look at how much they cost.

I've wonder about the MAC ones.

When I first put (just a med. size drop) the oil on my fingertip & rubbed them together, I kinda freaked out

but after I rubbed it onto my face it just completely disappeared! I also used it on the back of my hands which are dry from gardening - silky smooth this morning.

I haven't tried Chanel makeup before but now I am obssesed with getting the Soleil tan de Chanel! I've seen so many people raving about this bronzer that I want it soo bad! And I really think the price is not bad considering it comes with 30 grams of product! That's HUGE!
Is it really difficult to find? I am going to Miami in July but I've read that it sells out pretty quick so I am scared of not finding one.. any suggetions?

I don't think it's too difficult to find. I just hopped to my local Chanel counter and picked it up without any problems. (You mean the creme one right?) But I'm in the US, so maybe it's different elsewhere?

I have been seriously eyeing the Orange Fizz polish. I want Chanel coral toes for summer!!!

Yes, I'm sure you will find it - I'm going to use mine tomorrow (today ends up being a busy day so no time for makeup play) and really hope it works for me! And you're right, it is HUGE!

It can be applied very sheerly and blended out, or built up to a darker tone. It's like a condensed mousse in the jar, but the texture is very light on the skin because your brush doesn't pick up too much. It does have a scent (that sort of fresh and sophisticated sort of scent?), but I actually really like it. I buff it with a flat-top brush as a subtle contour.

I was going to put up some swatches for you, but as soon as I turned my camera on, it tells me the battery is dead. (At this point, I looked at my bronzer-striped arm and laughed. At least my arm smells good.
tong.gif
)

So for the color, it definitely has a yellow undertone to it--unlike Benefit Hoola, etc. where the color is just straight-up tan/brown. I'd say it's a nice golden brown sort of color, but if you apply it very heavily (and I mean really heavily), a hint of orange comes through. This shouldn't really be a concern unless you plan to apply it heavily, or if your skin leans on the very yellow or very pink side (very yellow would accentuate that subtle orange-ness, very pink might find that a golden-based color looks out of place?). I suppose that nixes both extremes.
ssad.gif

However, for me, the color very much mimics the way my skin looks when I'm suntanned after I blend it out (I'm NC20-ish year round).

My Lily came today! Yay!!

Elegant, I'll use the bronzer tomorrow and let you know what I think - I agree that application is key, and if you use a fluffier brush that doesn't deposit as much color you should be fine....but I will let you know.

Awesome! My skin def. has more slight pink undertones. Mostly all of the reviews on it are great. That is such a great decription of how Chanel smells - Sophisticated! I so agree.
Thanks so much for all the info!
