I don't have lines either but it will be interesting, since many of us has samples, how each of us finds it!!!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I just went through my evening routine and here are my initial thoughts - the serum is 'ok' - I have to say that I like the UC serum better I think. I also used the eye serum and the night cream. The eye serum is pretty light (I used my Shiseido Benefiance eye cream over it) and the night cream so far feels pretty good (though I do miss the smell of the Hydramax+Active Nutritive) - I'll see what tomorrow brings as that's usually the best way for me to tell how well I'm going to like something - how my skin feels in the morning.
yes.gif
These products are more expensive than the normal UC line, but less than Sublimage (what wouldn't be?
th_crazy.gif
) but I'm not sure I want to fork over more money if I like what I already have. The SA did give me generous samples in little Nordstrom containers, so I have about 2 weeks worth of product to try out.

I am seriously tempted to call Saks to get my hands on the fall collection now and cancel my Nordie's pre-order. I'll have to see what shipping is going to look like (why do we have such an aversion to paying shipping?
th_dunno.gif
But I really do!!!) but it may be worth it in this case!
tong.gif

Bon soir ladies - I hope to 'see' you all tomorrow! Sleep tight! Don't let the bedbugs bite! (as my mum used to say

Its really interesting to me how the skin care is so different for everyones skin. My Saks MA has GORGEOUS flawless skin (& she is not young) so I asked her today what her secret was. Retin A & Sublimage

^^ Mmm... that's an awesome tip!! When I can afford Sublimage, I will pair it with Retin A.

We have the Ultra Correction Line Repair line here already as well. I was going to get the serum, but it's been out of stock for a while. My SA explained that it's good for anyone that's pretty much at an age that lines can start to appear, because the technology behind it is meant to prevent lines as well.

So by the sounds of things, I'm definitely getting Pink Explosion blush, if we get it here and the Enigma quad. I think that's all from the fall collection. I picked up a Dior gloss today, a gorgeous sheer fuschia colour with loads of fine shimmer. It is insanely gorgeous, the shimmer makes my lips look fuller and the colour just brightens up my complexion.

Thanks for the review! I'm so excited about the fall collection! Time to start saving now! It's good that I will not get the collection so soon, because I'll have more time to save.

Yes, I'm using the UC Line Repair Anti wrinkle eye cream.
yes.gif
I started noticing fine lines at my undereyes area late last year and I was alarmed! I think it was too dry because I didn't use any eye cream for about half a year.
tong.gif
The fine lines are gone now for now, either because of the moisturization or because the UC Line Repair is really good.

Based on both reviews of UC line repair, I'm tempted to try my samples already!! Sounds great!! Must finish some Clinique first, but I'm eager to do so!!

AHHHHH! Elegant! I can't believe you got the new fall stuff already! I wonder when it will be available in Canada?

I really can only pick up a few things. I think Pink Explosion for sure because I don't have a bright pink blush. I was thinking I could pass on the quad, but Enigma sounds pretty fabulous. Can you give a detailed description of the 4 colours? I thinking I need the nail polish. Sounds GORGEOUS for fall. And I always seem to buy all the trendy Chanel nail polish colours. So that should be it for me. But the eye liner and the taupe eye shadow you described sound so nice...

And I LOVE those eye glasses. The Chanel symbol is soooo perfect!

Ok, I love those. Did you get them at Saks? I have to get to the eye man and get glasses soon for mid-range and long distances (blah, always had awesome vision...I'm still in denial, lol) and I WANT those frames! If I have to wear glasses, they better be chic and cute!

Thanks for the Nordies event info! For the most part I think it sounds kinda snoozy, especially when compared to the deliciousness of the Fall collection. What a bummer that we have to wait so long for it, maybe her info was wrong? I think I'll go to/call our Saks and see what they say about it.

Elegant and Hypathya - I'm a huge crafter. I'm always working on something crafty, and LOVE shopping for papers, punches, embellishments, anything pretty really, lol. I could spend hours on end at craft stores and not even notice!

Anyway, just had to share...you're not alone!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I USED to be a crafter....sometimes still get the urge to craft.....but I was such a fiend for supplies that I had to stop (yes, I'm addicted to a lot of things - good thing I'm a girl
girlhaha.gif
) - I even decorated my MAC palettes with stickers (I have them arranged by color) awhile back
winkiss.gif
-

I've always just loved papers and pens - I have a drawer full! When I was a little kid my favorite thing (besides my Barbies) was new school supplies. We used to have a little store at my elementary school, and I LOVED going there to get little things like the tiny Pink Pearl erasers and little notebooks they had. It must be something in the DNA!
tong.gif

Now if I'm going to craft I pretty much stick to crochet - but usually just winter scarves as I don't have the talent for it my mother does (I have beautiful pieces my mother has made)and beading (not the intricate crochet-like beadwork, but more the necklace/bracelet/earring kind) and sometimes I would prefer to read, or cook if I'm feeling creative. If I didn't have to have a 'regular' job, I would just craft and be a makeup artist!
yes.gif
Somehow though, I think if the hobby was a job, it wouldn't be as much fun anymore
th_dunno.gif
........

I feel like a major-league goofball regarding the UC Line Repair line
lol.gif
....I had no idea we in the US were the last ones to get it! Oh well. Not much of a scoop, eh?
winkiss.gif
I'm trying to make my samples last as long as I can - I would like to dive into this line, but don't think I can swing that AND the fall collection, so I may just wait and see. Have college tuition yet to pay.....

Hope you ladies have a great day today!!

And a quick edit - I got the Lotion Douceur, not the Lotion Confort - I really like how it makes my skin feel! Not at all tingly or stinging like I expected it to!

I think I'd give them a call and ask but from what I've seen they are good to their word if they list something as backordered...not that I would wait to order though.

How do you use Lotion Douceur? Do you pour some on a cotton pad and dab all over your face, including eyes and lips, to remove makeup? And follow with a rinse-off cleanser? That's what the MA said. I have a sample but I haven't use it. It smells divine!

Me too - big time! I'm the same way - I can meander away the time in any craft store. Paper, scissors, punches, beads etc...... I love it all. I collect ribbons like crazy too.

Wow, so funny how we are all very much alike - it makes me happy to have all of you to share my great love of all thins girly & beautiful & fun!

I actually used it for the first time this morning, after washing my face....I was shocked at the additional 'dirt' it got off of my face!!

But it felt really clean without feeling stripped!

I think this is the one Elegant uses before she cleanses.....I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to be using it, so I guess I will figure that out -

This seems to be what Chanel does from what I've noticed with previous collections. There is always someone on MUA talking about what they got at their Saks (maybe Neimans too, not sure) counter well before it is online anywhere. And for some reason Chanel.com is often among the last of the online sites to put a collection up. I actually kind of like that they release things at select counters before online because you can get a better idea of the products before ordering online and alot of my lemmings often die during the waiting, which has turned out to save me alot of $$$.

So how much is Sublimage? I am guesssing a lot? I'm hearing more and more about how great Retin-A is for fine lines, pores, acne...seems to cure everything! I was talking to my mom last night and she uses Stieva-A, which is treninoin. Has anyone heard of that? From what I can tell, it is a vitamin A derivative like Retin-A, but not sure if they are pretty much the same thing or not. She said it has been wonderful for her skin and she is in her early 50s and her skin looks pretty great. I know stv578 gave some great information about Retin-A earlier in this thread and said she uses 0.025 strength, which she thought was the lowest. Not sure about Retin-A, but I think Stieva-A comes in 0.01, although I could be wrong (it might of been 0.1, which would be a much higher strength).

Hmmm, I am thinking I need a toner. I'm sure she'll correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Elegant uses the Purete toner.

Okay I checked and Stieva-A does come in 0.01%. I think I would definitely start with the lowest.

Also, Stieva-A is just another brand name for treninoin. So Retin-A and Stieva-A are the same thing.

The Sublimage moisturizer is $375 USD

- not in my budget until my kids are out of college!

I am considering seeing a dermatologist to find out what my options might be for topical treatments - I'd love to tackle a couple of my hyperpigmentation issues - and if Retin-A will do that, sign me up! I think I'm getting to the point where my good genes have done about all they can for me and now it's time to boost them - maybe.

Hey, everyone! I was wondering if anyone has better pics of the fall collection? The Chanel promo pics don't really give me the details I want to see so that I can decide what I want. I really want to see the blushes and glossimers.
