Thank you for clearing that up Shimmer. We dont (afaik) have any laws like that in my country and it just stunned me at first.

I'm pretty sure your country has customs regarding flags etc., though they may not be enforced except at embassies and within the soil on political property. :/

Yes, that could very well be. I have never heard of it tho, and patriotism isnt as big in my country as it is in the US.

Sorry, been looking at that page and I dotn quite understand what I am supposed to read? Where does it say what I can or cant do with the flag?

It looks like it can't be used privately, except on national holidays, from anything I'm finding in the first couple of pages of google. If anyone else finds anything else, do post it and let us know, but I'm not digging any further, simply because my interest isn't THAT profound.

I find it disrespectful when someone is wrapped in a Mexican flag. In Mexico you arent allowed to wear the flag at all, in shirts, hats, bathing suits, its just not allowed on anything! Its considered disrespectful, and each color of the flag means something, along w/ the eagle in the center which is said that was found in the center where Mexico city was built. (Yeah I went to school in Mexico lol).

Also, since we are in America, I do think its flag should be respected. I hate when any race says the "white" man keeps them down. Even though I come from immigrant parents, and am born here, I still think that there should be a way of becoming legal that isnt impossible, but in no way should open up the border. That would be like opening a flood gate.

Most people that ''take pride in Mexico'' and its holidays, have absolutly no CLUE of what they are celebrating. Its so annoying. I will purposely question them and they always say "the mexican independence" um no.

Anyway, I thnk the American flag should be respected at all times, because we are in this country for a reason, Mexico has a corrupt government, and cannot provide for its people. The least we can do is show appreciation for a country who has helped.
