Thanks for confirming my suspicions, though - it saves me using it. It even had one of those little leaflets in with it, too, saying it's not suitable for use in the lip area. My Rose has that exact same leaflet

Yep ingredients/safety leaflets were faked to near perfection ages ago unfortunately, so the presence of one is of no indication as to whether the pigment is authentic

We can now safely say that batch codes as well as leaflets are NOT reliable for verification of authenticity seeing that those )($&Q#)& fakers got that down pat.

Here are pics, top and bottom, of my White and Rose pigments, both of which I believe to be fake. The label on the bottom of the Rose is shinier than the silver labels on the bottom of my other pigments, but it doesn't really show on the photo.

The White was from charleyandemily and the Rose was from beverleybelle

White, Emerald Green, Green Brown are all fake as they look to me. Regardless what she says, none of them look anything like that, Emerald Green is a really mossy green colour, it tends to clump/ball up and is more matte with some very small silver sparkles inside, it is not uniformly chunky and sparkly. Maybe it is photographed in a way that makes it look weird in that pic, but if that pic is true to life then that's not how it should look. Green Brown is much deeper than than, and White is pearlescent and very finely and evenly milled, not nearly as chunky and glittery as it looks there. I know that because I have all 3 of those pigments, authentic from MAC directly.

Sorry but Kate Richie is my main suspect on how I've acquired my 'suspect' eyeshadows. If you check her listings she has a mixed lot of pigments and eyeshadows - all on my dodgy hit list

Sorry hun - both are definitely fakes! Like MissChievous I also have these pigments - the white you have is just like Sushi's white and mine is nothing like either of those....

Thats exactly what I thought re the White! Thanks for confirming

The big thing here is that the White fakes have clear base stickers - these are BETTER than the deep blue green for packaging..... they havent got the texture right though!

So now we can confirm that Beverleybelle sold the 8 fake pigments that we kept seeing for a period of time last year along with charleyandemily, divalaglam, missmodernmiss, etc.

Closetmustgo and Beverleybelle are 2 of the recommended sellers WE know who are selling the updated fakes. That sucks.

I WONDER now if they really get 100% of their stock from MAC. Probably NOT seeing that they are selling/have sold the updated fakes.

beverleybelle was one of the sellers I knew about but wasnt going to name as yet, but seeing as the cat is now out of the bag....... She sold 2 x deep blue green fakes to members, BUT she made good on them and refunded immediately. Shame she is still listing fake piggies in some of the older colours - fairylite, aire-de-blu, etc............

Christ! I trusted beverleybelle and recommended her to someone here (i hope they didnt buy, just in case) - i was going to purchase pigments from her myself

This is getting really shitty now that sellers that have had perfect records until recently, are now being revealed as counterfeit pushers. Have they always sold fakes, or is it just in the last few months?
I wonder if they know (and if not, would they would mind being shown the photographic proof)?

Ebay is a minefield for pigments/glitters and eyeshadows...

eBay is now a shitty place to look for genuine stuff since they care more about the $$ than protecting buyers from fraudsters/fakers/counterfeiters/ASSES!! You can buy authentic samples from halocaustic, but as for full size, yes MAC stores/counters/website/CCO's are the safest (and probably in the long run cheapest) channel to get them.
What the hell do you do about previous LE/discontinued lemmings though :/

Personally I would never buy MAC on Ebay, there's just too many fakers out there. I mean, it doesn't make sense, how can they sell apparently "authentic" BNIB MAC at lesser cost than MAC sells retail? MAC does not sell wholesale, so the logic just doesn't make sense.

I hope closetmustgo's lipsticks are alright - I'm waiting for a couple to arrive.

I'm glad I found out about beverleybelle's pigments in time, though, as I was planning on bidding for her Fairylite. Not anymore, I'm not! I trust the shadestick I bought from her recently is safe?

Shadesticks havent been faked AFAIK - not popular enough to bother with, and possibly too tricky to fake them well. Lipsticks have tell tale signs that can be viewed in photos in a thread caffn8me made a while ago (counterfeit section). The main one is that the lipsticks colour/texture should be blended fully, and not have that marble/cheapo look to it. Another is the shape of the tip, though i havent spotted that many fakes on ebay (and those i saw had silly batch codes like A89).
