I don't like the e/s either, I feel like I have to apply 10 layers to get what I need, and the color doesn't go on evenly, I feel like I have to blend foreverrrr.

you might have gotten "old" ones. my first one was the teal, then i later on got the other colors, and teal was really dry compared to the other ones. so i had it exchanged for a new one. it's ok now.. i really like them..

hi. i have all the cream liners except for the brown one. they're good, a lil bit thicker in consistency compared to the fluidlines. i think they're a bit pricey for a drugstore brand, but local drugstores always have promos, i got mine for buy one get one free, so it was all good. i have the swatches, i just don't know exactly where to post them.

Thanks so much ^^
I love the teal and the blue. I almost bought them last week but I wanted to see if someone would do a swatch on them. Glad you did =)

i've been using the hip line since they came out and i find it comparable to mac. the colors are easy to work with. they do have a great pay off. and they are long lasting. i have shadows and pigments. an di have 3 of the pigment pens..they all work very very nice for me. i'll do a look tomorrow using nothign but hip colors so i can show you how great they are. i am suprised to hear so much negitive feedback about this line. its a first for me n all of the other makeup message boards i am on.the women love this line. its nice to take a break form mac and have a line that is affordable and just as easy to work with. and i love the looks they have out. i have collecected a picture of just about every look. *shrug* i dont understand what happened on everyone elses end. but if your new to the line you should just try it for yourself. i persoanlly love the line. and i find that i have been using thier shadows and pigments more then i use my mac shadows. which is funny cuz i have more mac lol.

I recieved a JellyBalm in swap and I love it! 'Plush' is the color and it's very sheer (which I like) but very moisturizing. Hopefully Canada will get the balms in stores soon so I can get a couple more!

I just bought two of the cream eyeliners - Midnight Blue and Eggplant - and I LOVE them! They're really creamy (but the brushes hurt my eyelids..

) and the colors are BEAUTIFUL! I love the MB, and Ultraviolet is, IMO, not as pretty as Eggplant.

HIP is pretty good for the most part! I got all there cream liners before i discoverd fluid line so yeahhh pretty mad about that... dont get me wrong there cream liners are very good for me at leastt nice colors , long lastiing dont budge they are 12 dollars thoughh while fluidline is only 15. so now id rather get fluidline! though the hip constantly have BOGO of buy one get the other 50%..... The shadows a good depends some of them are veryyyy pigmented and some are dull... the loose pigments thoughhh i really like they are so pigmented and i find myself going around to different stores trying to get them ALLL here are some pics of what i have......

My first L'Oreal H.I.P. items were the pigments in Fiery, Beckoning, Visionary and Vailant. I love them and I got their cream liners in Black, Midnight Blue and Teal. I love the Black very much and I might get a eyeliner brush soon since the angled brush sometimes makes my line thick when I try to make it thin. I also have some of the Shadow Duos in Flare, Flamboyant, Adventureous, Flashy, Showy, Riotous, Reckless, Platinum, Gunmetal, Gilded, Sculpted and Magnetic. I have the eyeliner in Black and I want to try their Jelly Balm, the lipgloss and lipstick.

I LOVE the black/silver e/s duo. Color payoff is fantastic! I'm not so impressed though with the pigment sticks, but it's alright coz they were only $2 each. =)

I would love to have them ALL! I have 8 of the shadow duos now. Next week they are bogo again (I think at either rite aid or walgreens) I am going to get more of them.

My experience with this product is that it's really a hit or miss type of line. First off, I don't get why it costs so much for a drugstore line. But then again, when CVS has their BOGO Free deals, it's not so bad.

The eyeshadows are really nice, not ALL of them are as pigmented as I thought they would be, but they're all really velvetty and blend well. I LOVE the jelly balms! they feel so good on ur lips, not sticky at all and just enough color. I also really love the cream shadows. they're great alone or as base.

Some of the things are really good and some of it not so much. They have creamstick eye pecils and I would say that they are just as good as, if not better than, shadesticks. The cream liners are pretty good but don't have as smooth of a texture as fluidline. Some of the eyeshadow duos are MAC quality, but some are not. The blushes and bronzers are really cool. I really like the lipglosses but I can't compare them to lipglass because they are just so different. I haven't ever tried mascara from MAC or HIP. I really like the colors of the pigments they have but overall I was disappointed with them.

HIP creamsticks vs. MAC shadesticks = HIP (creamier and cheaper)
HIP cream liner vs. MAC fluidline = MAC (more colors and better texture)
HIP shimmery eye duos vs. MAC shimmery eyeshadows = HIP (cheaper)
HIP matte eye duos vs. MAC matte eyeshadows = MAC (better color pay off)
HIP lip gloss vs. MAC lip glass = both
HIP blushes & bronzers vs. MAC blushes and bronzers = both (MAC has more colors, but HIP is cheaper)
HIP mascara vs. MAC mascara = Maybelline or Bourjous!

HIP pigments vs. MAC pigments = MAC!!! (more colors, more product, better texture, better color pay off)

IMO, the HIP pigments are more like MAC Solar Bits than MAC pigments.
