I'm sorry, but the way you phrased this is causing a bit ofThumbs up x100!
I didn't address this yet, because I didn't want to start any drama, but it's rubbing me the wrong way too... With the amount of products that supposedly only work on NC you would think MAC hates us NW folks.I would have missed out on so many great products that allegedly are no-go for NWs. We all have opinions and everyone is welcome to share theirs, it's just this generalisation that is unnessecary. If a product didn't work for you it still might for someone else, even though they have the same skintone as you.
Glad to hear your enjoing your stash, PDF
Lol, I know that feeling. I LOVE purple lippies and can't wait for this one! And to think, I was scared of a bold colour like that just a couple of years ago.I am so excited for the purple one :cheer: Can never have too many purples
lol I am now thinking the same. I hope the blushes are busts.....not really lol I want it all!I want one just for packaging. sigh...
You know as well as I that I did not contact you for advice. We had countless private discussions via PM on a daily basis and in those also talked about products, collections, etc. Your comment sounds like I was contacting you to get advice which is simply not true.I assume that your comment refers to me - please correct me if I am wrong, I want to address this directly as I do take offense. One of the most frequently asked questions on Specktra is indeed "Will product x work on my skin [insert NC/NW in here]?," thus it is normal that people, including myself, give their opinion and share their expertise. I never say that x should not wear y. I use phrases such as "not suitable for..." "works best on..." I also strongly believe in testing the product in person, which is statement that will probably turn up in every thread here on Sprecktra. Having said that, I wholeheartedly agree with you that nobody should discouraged to try out a product. For those who can't swatch in person, I try to give my best recommendations and I'm proud to say that these worked out for a lot of gals on here.
Anyway, no harm done. I just needed to address your comment, but we both probably agree that we do not want to take this matter further, so hopefully we can close this chapter. No hard feelings.
I'm sorry, but the way you phrased this is causing a bit of!*
We do have entire threads on Specktra that are dedicated to find the best colors for different skin tones. This is wonderful as it allows us to share our experience with others. Of course, everybody is entitled to have their own opinion and buy whatever the want. If you want to buy the whole collection and you have the funds, go for it.
No, MAC doesn't hate NW folks, but there is a much smaller pool of cool-toned collections than warm-toned. Just browse through the promo pics. Other pale NW folks can probably attest that MAC puts out much more warmer collections than cool-toned ones. @MACina, @elegant-one and other cool beauties can certainly relate. This doesn't mean a cool-toned person can wear warm-toned make up - it's just takes a bit more work.
I've said enough on this topic. Resorting back to posting less as discussions are these are tiresome.
* I do take your comment very personal as my inbox is full of PMs (from the past years) from you asking for advice (which I provided) what will work on pale NWs and what you should buy. I'm not talking about just one or two messages, but dozens. You are throwing me under the bus here which is not cool at all. No need to take this any further as it is getting obnoxious.
Not sure I agree with this. Not everything is flattering on everybody. That's why there are 53 million variations of lipsticks, etc so you can find which ones suit you best. However, everyone is free to spend their money on whatever they want. Personally, I appreciate these distinctions because it saves me money and keeps me from looking crazy.I'm not buying much makeup anymore and instead I'm just enjoying what I have, but I might get something from this collection. I'm liking the looks of the ED bronzers. I use Glorify and Magnetic Appeal as bronzer and love them for that! I'm really pale and have to use a very light hand with bronzers and thus it doesn't get too shimmery, instead they give a lovely glow. I hope nobody gets discouraged by others from at least trying them. Everybody has their own opinion, but I feel like lately things get generalized a lot of the time. I read things like nobody with pale skin can wear this or nobody with dark skin can wear that. I do not like that I read this so often lately and I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just had to mention it.
