I agree. Urbansweetheart, you need Robin's Egg. It will look stunning on your skin complexion.

I went to the T.O. Pro Store today to check out this collection and naturally. I have to say getting up at 7:30, out the door by 8:50 and there 15 minutes prior to opening time and waiting in the freezing -10C weather was worth it.

If I was gonna go blindly, all the LE lipsticks and shadows would have come home to me. After swatching, Pink Pigeon was gorg. Just

. It's bright definitely but no CYY. Flamingo was sweet...Different from all the lipsticks from MAC's line almost like a gloss but not really. It's also gorg. Party Parrot looked a little familiar but I didn't immediately think of a dupe. I thought it looked a little like Impassioned but impassioned was more pink while this was more coral-orange (Side note: who is this person?? A year ago I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!!). Scarlet Ibis was divine looked a little bit like Ruby Woo but still different. The lipsticks are definitely the stand-out products of this collex. They glided on ever so smoothly and were just lovely.

The shadows....ugh...utter disappointment. I was the FIRST person there. The first to swatch them. No film to worry about.

Howzat: Looked nice when I tried to build it up on my finger but on my hand was garbage. Looked like a lot of other hard to blend mattes.

Diamond Dove: Ditto. Except it didn't even look nice on my finger.

EB: Reminded me of a slightly more forgiving Free to Be (I hate that eyeshadow I literally threw it away because I couldn't swatch it). It showed up but was hard to build up.

RE: Best there is. I have Surf USA and thought it looked really similar and I've got a ton other teals. I may change my mind. Still needed to be built up but swatched infinitely better.

SG: looked like a very light silver cast with glitters here and there. Nothing special but then again no other color came to mind for that non-metallic silver glow.

I didn't check out the NP. I hauled the LE Lipsticks and none of the eyeshadows. When I asked for the lipsticks, the MAC SA said they had 3 Pink Pigeons in, one was a tester, and mine was the LAST one in MAC PRO!!!! Can you guess which one is gonna sell out ladies?

I am so glad I was there first. He said I was very lucky and smart to come in that early but I think other people would call me crazy :/

baghdad81 if you have time can you please swatch Pink Pigeon for me. I am not a bright lipstick person but I seem to be drawn to this one. Unfortunately I have to order on line so swatches are my best way of deciding. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the review baghdad81! That's pretty disappointing about the eyeshadows, those were the only things I wanted, and one at that (Diamond Dove). Think I may skip this collection after all. I think this is a sign to be content with what I currently have...for now. >_>

awww thanks Mac-Guy! You never steer me wrong, so now I see Robin's Egg as my "MUST HAVE" eyeshadow from this collection!

The thing we need to remember about MAC mattes, and mattes in general, is often times they don't swatch as nicely as they look when actually applied. I've seen this for myself and heard it mentioned MANY times by MUA's, reviews, tutorials, etc. So, I wouldn't give up on a matte shade just because it doesn't swatch well. Once you get those brushes in them and actually start building a look on your eye with primer / base, I'm sure more people will be pleased with these shadows than originally expected. A beautiful matte shadow is difficult to dismiss, as it has a TOTALLY different look than shimmers, satins, etc. VERY sophisticated and polished. I bought all 3 mattes from this collection, and I will give you an update as soon as I put a look together with them.

Well, I hope the crappy quality of DD eyeshadow was because it was a tester. I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to get scarlet ibis instead of pink pigeon. I got flamingo because imafraid it will sell out. And I am still getting party parrot. I will snag the robin egg in person if I like it after payday

I also went to the Toronto Pro store on my lunch break to check out this collection and was also told about how little they got of the lipsticks. For anyone who really wants the lipsticks I recommend getting to your local store as early as possible, these will sell out fast.

Here are some quick thoughts:

Party Parrot: I ended up with the last one at the Pro store. Texture is so nice and I've been wanting a pinky-coral for awhile.

Pink Pigeon: Was also on my list since I'm a sucker for pink lippies but the tester was missing and there weren't any left to take home.

Scarlet Ibis: Still iffy on this one, the thing that I liked was the texture but the colour I'm not sure about. I have wanted Lady Danger for awhile so I may cave and get this.

Flamingo: Nice texture but I feel like I've seen a lot of light pink lippies from MAC and I'm afraid of "Pepto lips" as mine are pretty pigmented.

Robin's Egg: The only shadow I bought. I do have Surf USA and this one swatched so nicely I couldn't resist (been loving wearing teals smudged on the lower lashline).

Silver Gull: On my maybe list, didn't impress me on first swatch and I feel like it's dupeable with perm eyeshadows.

Diamond Dove: Reminded me of another perm brown eyeshadow (I want to say Brun but not sure and I didn't compare at the store) so I passed.

Early Bird: Not a fan of matte coral eyeshadows so I skipped this.

Howzat: After swatching it looked like Print eyeshadow to me so I passed on this one.

Skipped the nailpolishes after hauling too many from the OPI Muppet and OPI Nicki Minaj collections (oops). I have a Too Chic beauty powder from it's first release and don't really need a back up (I have a highlighter collecting problem LOL). Also skipped the lip pencils since I have quite a few to go through and feel like I can get something similar from MUFE.

Leeny, what time did you go? there was nobody there with me at 10:30 am. They must have gotten very little stock to start with.

I was at the Pro store at 12:45-1:00ish. The store got maybe 3 - 5 of each lipstick and around the same for the eyeshadows for this collection, according to the SA who was getting my stuff. Apparently there was more stock for the Naturally collection, I'm guessing MAC thought it was safe to go with less of the bright colours and more of the safe neutrals...? It sort of makes sense but from what I've seen there are a lot of people who like pokes of colour (bold lip, dash of bright eyeliner) with their neutrals (glowy cheeks, nude lips).
