Amazing how much our own lip color affects a lipstick color! This is why seeing multiple people's swatches is good.

My lips naturally have a bit of a blue tone to them.
So Strong Woman is plummier on me - more blue than it is on you.
And Hot Chocolate is much plummier on me, too - it's not plum, but not brown - the perfect color combining the two.
I'm still shy about trying to photog myself, but i'll get over it :) See if i can post a couple swatches...

I like my mineralize balm, but i can't take credit for that suggestion. Was it Liba, perhaps?

Right now my lips feel fine, but we have another bout of cold rainy weather coming, so i may "steal" it :)

My order came in today and I just finished trying everything on. Alpine Bronze looked very nice on me. My kind of color but I figured as much. Amber Glow made a nice highlight with it. After trying this combo I decided to try Amber Glow on its on. While I swiped it a few times on my cheeks. It did show up. It looked very nice. I usually do a light application of blush so it didn't seem out of the ordinary to me. But I know many others would like something stronger. I will probably wear it both on its own and as a highlight. Cozy Up looked nice as well. I'm not a big nude person so I don't know if I will wear it all the time but I did like it. I did put on a bit of lip liner with it and liked it but it also looked nice with a dab of one of the mineralize balms.

Then I tried a bit of Warm Companion layered over it (Cozy Up). I liked this combo as well. Then I tried Warm Companion on its own. I liked it better with the lip liner but it looked okay. It reminded me a lot of Gilty Kiss from one of the Holiday Collections a while back but I think Gilty Kiss was a bit more sheer and was a different formula. I haven't done a side by side comparison yet. I also added a little bit of the mineralize balm and like that combo as well. I like Warm Companion on its own but I will probably wear it layered with Cozy Up more.


I also got Rich Experience eye liner and like it as well. I haven't bought a plain dark brown pencil liner in a while. Usually I would only wear brown liners but then I got into the shimmery liners and mostly only wore Teddy. Lately, I've been getting into bolder looks (for me) and wearing lots of black liner. So this pencil is a nice change of pace for me. It is a very nice rich, dark brown liner. It glides on easy and doesn't tug.

I was beyond bummed when I missed it with In the Groove, I almost cried, lol. So now that it's finally mine it's everything I hoped it would be. It's gorgeous, applied lightly with a 187 it gives a beautiful glow. I don't see any orange and it doesn't look too warm.

Amber Glow didn't seem to have a lot of shimmer when I swatched it on my hand, but on my cheek it's definitely visible. It's nice, but not a must-have for me. I don't think I'll wear it at daytime because of the shimmer.

Haute Attitude I just swatched so far, but the color looks just lovely. I know I will wear it a lot. Should have BU that one.

The 287 looks really nice, glad I got it. I think I'll try it for applying concealer.

Ice MES is a bit meh... Not sure how I feel about it yet. Very shimmery.

Isn't SR gorgeous? I never saw the older versions so I have nothing to compare to, but I love it. I liked it so much that I got Redhead as well - it's on its way thanks to the always kind Yasmin. :)

Try Amber Glow just as a highlight. I don't care for it as a blush because it's too shimmery, but it's beautiful applied along the cheekbone. I think a single pass is even office friendly.

It's a beauty, I even love how it looks in the pan. I felt like a kid on christmas opening the box and taking it out.

It was my most sought after MAC item, In the Groove was the collection that really started my MAC addiction and SR was that one thing I wasn't able to get my hands on, so it's kind of big deal to me.

So far each day I have worn one of the four MES's I got from this collection. I didn't get ice. I have worn each of them foiled on my lid. My favorite has been Fireside. My least favorite was Winter Pursuit. I think it was the combination of sparkle + rosiness...might be better without foiling. I will try that next! The only one I haven't worn yet is Frost at Midnight. If I feel like makeup today (woke up with a cough and sore throat :( ) I will try it. Loving the lip balms and trying to stay away from buying more...I got two already. Two is enough, right? I wonder what AG would look like as an eye shadow. Anyone try it?

Got my goodies today! Go Douglas go Douglas! :pompom: LOVE LOVE LOVE Après Chic. :bigheart: Hot Chocolate is a plummy neutral with a hint of taupe on me. No 90's brown yay! I do need to sheer it out a little bit, it's slightly too dark for a neutral. But I like it! I've tried Amber Glow as blush but it's definitely a highlighter. Looks lovely though! And on my skin it looks nothing like Light Year.
