MAC Après Chic Collection Discussion (December 2012)

Hello you lovely people!

Can someone of you guys, who owns the msf stereo from a previous collection, tell me how much product it contains? the new version has 9gr in it. I think the "old" ones contain more product :-S

Am I the only one that is completely obsessed with Silver Birch?? Maybe I love it so much because of the 4 MES I ordered (I didn't get Ice...feel like I have several close dupes for that one) it was the one that I was the least excited about. Such a pleasant surprise! I think it's my favorite of the whole group, though my Frost at MIdnight is almost all purple (woohoo!!) and while the payoff isn't that great it's still really pretty. My Fireside is really full of burgundy too, so even though I ordered online I don't think I could have picked better veining in the store!

Isn't SR gorgeous? I never saw the older versions so I have nothing to compare to, but I love it. I liked it so much that I got Redhead as well - it's on its way thanks to the always kind Yasmin. Try Amber Glow just as a highlight. I don't care for it as a blush because it's too shimmery, but it's beautiful applied along the cheekbone. I think a single pass is even office friendly.

I didn't get this newest Stereo Rose, but I have the original and the ITG versions and I did swatch the new one at the counter and they are practically the same. Not like the Lightscapade fiasco at all.

I have to be patient. My SR and PP will arrive on Tuesday. I was sooo tempted to go to the counter to swatch them already, but I didn't. I just know more stuff will stick to my fingers, which is no bueno...

I got Silver Birch e/s, Apres Chic ls and Haute Altitude ls. While I like them all I'm not over the moon about any one of them.

Silver Birch looks a lot like Cloudy Afternoon on me, Apres Chic pulls a bit too orange, and Haute Altitude is a bit too light. But they're all wearable on me and I can make them work.

the sr from in the groove has 10gr

I paired hot chocolate with nyx plum liner and it still pulled a mauvey brown. It's something I wouldn't have picked out, but I'm really getting used to it.

This is the only lipstick I've ever felt the need to BU. It pulls brown on me, but I love that. Good luck on the hunt.

Can anyone kill my lemmings for Après Chic?

I skipped Après Chic at a store after comparing it with Viva Glam Cyndi. I preferred Cyndi over Après Chic. But I have started thinking if I need it. Crazy, right? LOL

I only got Haute Altitude so far. I can't wait to wear it! I didn't need to buy Stereo Rose and Porcelain Pink as I got them from the previous release. I think I should wear them more often especially Porcelain Pink. I have to wait for summer to wear Stereo Rose.

Speaking of Haute Altitude, until last night, I thought the name was Haute Attitude. I had no doubt. What’s wrong with me?
