no need to appologize hun. it just frustrates me when people either don't pay attention or just don't know and tell people whatever they can think of. there's no shame in not knowing. we're told if we don't know something, say so. don't just make shit up cuz that'll cause more probs than just admitting you don't know.

you definatly can still prep the skin with your regular moisterizer (be it an oil control or whatever your choice of daily moisterizer) and you can still do a primer. but it also wears well alone, which to me is one of the great things about this product. as far as what it has that makes it special ; its about an 8 release of moisture, it contains sodium hyleronate which plumps up fine lines, and contains anti-oxidants to protect the skin (vitamins e and c) it even has an spf and gives you a satin finish. i pair it with msfn and love the way it wears.

Anyone know if the TM contains propylene or pentylene glycol? Is the vitamin C ascorbyl palmitate? What is/are the sunscreen agent(s)?

The moisturizer tints run lighter in my opinion. I am NC30. Medium was too light for me, Medium-Dark too dark. I ended up mixing them and got my match. Hope this helps.

I tried a sample of the Tinted Moisturizer in Light (NW15 here) and I really liked it. It really helped to even out the redness in my cheeks. I'll be picking up a full size tube soon. I didn't even bother looking at the lip products-after reading every one else's reviews, it sounds like they are just clear lipgloss with some SPF!

A comparable product for a fraction of the price could be Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Pool Party glosses. I've been meaning to try those-I love the consistency of the regular VSBR glosses and the new ones have added SPF. They are generally 6 for $20. Just a heads up for anyone who might havve wanted these new Baby Blooms glosses.

Ugh. I bought just a smidge lip balm last night and I wore it out today. I had to wipe it off within 5 minutes. The taste was horrible. Mind you, I'm not the one to eat lip products, but this somehow seeped into my mouth and I thought I was going to vomit. I always hated the smell/taste of the lip conditioners, but I thought this would be better. I returned it today. No bueno.

I'm also NW20 and I tried the Light and the Medium at my MAC counter. Strange enough, the Light is super light and the Medium, though it looks dark when you first squirt it out of the tube, actually works the best for me. Hope this helps

I freaking love the VS Pool Party glosses! Though I've only tried Lemonita (I missed out on the pina colada one

) They are like a mix between balm and gloss.

light is definately reserved for the nc/nw 15 group of people. anyone darker than that, light is gonna be too light.

The VS Beauty Rush lipglosses are awesome!! I love Strawberry Fizz since I'm on my 4th tube so far.

I tried my samples of the TM today. I loved it! It really did a good job to get rid of redness, which I have a lot of especially on my chin with acne scars that have pretty much faded but left my chin a little red. It evened out my skintone, and the beauty of it (and probably most tm's) is that it looked so much better in the daylight than my regular foundation. Not sure about the break out factor, because truth be told, being on the BCP at the moment, not much really breaks me out. It stayed put for the most part and definitely did not get shiny (but I'm on the dry side). The very odd thing though, is that the MA had given me both medium and medium dark, and the medium dark worked out a bit better. (I may have a slight tan atm, but I cannot be as dark as NC30). Medium blended in okay as well, but just looked a bit on the pale side. So I'm wondering if these are running on the light side?

I think I shall buy a full size tube.

I picked up the TM this morning. More often than not I can't tolerate octinoxate but this has a low level of it and it also contains caffeine which my skin likes, so I figured I'd give it a try - so far I'm very happy with it. It just evens out my skin tone a bit and leaves a satin to slightly dewey finish, at least over my usual moisturizer. I'm an NC15 and Light works well. Here are the ingredients for anyone like me who has to know such things: Octinoxate (3.5%), water, cyclopentasiloxane, butylene glycol, steareth-21, glyceryl stearate, dimethicone, isostearic acid, tromethamine, tocopheryl acetate, lecithin, cholesterol, ascorbyl palmitate, sodium hyaluronate, caffeine, aloe barbadensis leaf water, hydrogenated lecithin, sucrose, sorbitol, silica, trehalose, magnesium aluminum silicate, carbomer, steareth-2, cellulose gum, PVP, palmitoyl oligopeptide, glyceryl polymethacrylate, methyldihydroiasmonate, xantham gum, caprylyl glycol, stearic acid, sodium citrate, PEG-8, glycerin, disodium EDTA, hexylene glycol, BHT, phenoxyethanol, chlorphensin, chloroxylenol (+/- mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides)

i never thought i'd become interested in these tinted moisturizers as i've never owned any.

so my skin is oily acne prone and can get dry in the severe winnipeg winter, so i think this would be good for me as my skin is not bad and the only places i need coverage is for my cheeks which are slightly red from old acne scars and my nose with some black heads that never go away =.= . it s pretty shitty how my forehead hates makeup and gets clogged with tiny bumps so maybe this will be a good alternative. i could always buff some minerals on my cheeks for aditional coverage.

so my concern is that my skin was not able to tolerate studio sculpt. it broke me out after a week and a half and i had to stop using it. its a shame because i loved how it looked!

you guys seem to be suggesting that medium is good for nc25. but the lady from the mac online chat told me to get light. can anyone verify for me please o_O
