I like the pink/periwinkle one. But but but I already have Vera and Archie's Girls Pearlmattes with BUs. If I keep buying, I will never finish what I already have. Hmmm.

Same here, MACina!

I just don't find those as cute as they could have been. I GET why they look like that.. but... I just... don't care for them. Maybe swatches will change my mind.

MAC releases so many cute powders over the course of the year that I don't lose any sleep over passing on the ones I don't love - I bet the summer collection will have a great highlighter.

Got this picture from my friend who works at MAC

Thank you for sharing the picture! :) Wow! Definitely didn't expect them to look like that. The first one looks like something out of a Christmas collection. :/ The periwinkle one looks better, but I hope that the periwinkle part isn't an overspray.

While the BB Pearlmattes don't have designs on them that i would have preferred (more asymmetrical, more modern), my plan is to wear them, so what color they are on my face is what matters most to me.

So far, i still plan to get both BB PMs. I think the tone of the photo with both in it is leaning a little yellow and skewing the colors. So i hope to see and test them in person before the collection is released on-line.

A beige PM with a touch of warmth appeals to me more than a peach PM (Betty's) - i think it will be better on my neutral skin tone. And after seeing the photo of the pink BB PM, i got Veronica's Blush PM from Archie because the colors look quite different from each other and i think they won't be redundant. Of course, testing in Real Life will tell the true tale.

I'm not sure what to think of the design of the PM's. I'm interested in how they swatch. I want at least one of them because I'm intrigued by the blue/green aspects. I think they could have done a much better job with these. I'm hoping they look better in person. Google wedding cakes and you will see toiles, scrolls. textures, fresh flowers......

I hope so!! I skipped the Archie ones to buy these... I might try to buy an Archie one after all.

This is exactly what's bothering me - I can wear coral blush, but not orange!
Same here! These PMs have definitely become something I'll need to hear reviews on (since we all know how swatching and PMs don't mix well) or actually try before purchasing. Really hoping IFaT is more champagne-colored in person, but idk...

I may like both pearlmattes!! Maybe I like the pink one better but I'll decide what to do only when swatches will come up!

I feel the same way. Maybe swatches will make me more interested in them again, but right now I feel like skipping them and rather save that money for the big summer collection or the minerlize one.

Thank you ladies for answering my question so thoroughly- I apologize if I came off like Judgey McJudgeypants. I'm totally not- just very curious as to people's motivations. I have so many lipsticks I'm trying to figure out what I was thinking?! And then MAC puts out another collection and thought doesn't enter into it ;)

I agree. I think the one iwth the peach base looks better, but I was imagining something differen too. No biggie though b/c I know I'll buy them if they are fantastic.

I think the peach one is going to be more universal than we think. I think it will work great with WOC and warm up pale skin. I'm guessing b/c I know nothing of color theory.

what do you all think?

I am pleasantly disappointed.. I do not like how they look at all, so no regrets on skipping and going after Extra Dimension instead
