I think I won't know til I get there and see it all in person!

I hear you! I may cave once I see these new MSFs in person, but until then, the jury is out.......

Even though the new ones are striped, the demarcation between the shades seems pretty subtle. We'll see.

haha..OH YAH...nothing wrong with the smell of melting plastic, heck, why not throw a glass of wine in there too..haha..make an evening out of it..lol...

Oh and abbyquack, you put a piece of wax paper directly on the flat iron (hot plate) and then put the e/s pan on top of that..doesn't take long, especially if ya got a really good flat iron

I mean- what are they even for???? LOL! I use petticoat as a blush but.. pshh... I dont friggin know. I'd rather just buy a minearlized blush for less money

Mineralized blushes may be less money for the overall product, but they're a lot smaller. MSFs last a lot longer and are cheaper per gram. I also find MSFs have better staying power than MBs.

I have kind of a ...relationship of hate with my Warmed. I love some of the others, though. I use at least one MSF pretty much daily (my favourite being Lightscapade <3).

OK ... again o/t but I have to ask ... can you tell me the big deal about Lightscapade? I paid about 34 for one here in the clearance bin from a great seller, but I just don't see the big deal about it. It looks great in the pan, but on me I just can't see any effect so I am really wondering what all the hype was about!

Interesting, I might have to try it...does it damage the hot iron at all, because I prefer not to mess mine up

I've been using a lighter for the few I've done and that seems to be fairly successful but I'm always looking for new ways.

I am not sure what the big deal is either because I bought one and I don't really use it, it tends to make me look greasy.
th_dunno.gif
I think it is appealing b/c it could give you an iridescent glow/dewy look? That's why I bought it but it didn't quite deliver as I'd hoped. And it's not really good for skin with imperfections such as mine as it kind of accentuates everything.

Random note on depotting - I use votive candles and they work like a charm. Much easier than using a lighter, if you are using the candle method.

On my skin, it works out as the perfect glowy highlight. Being that I'm quite pale, I can use it pretty much anywhere and it blends in beautifully while adding that glow. All I know is that it works for me.

I happen to love my msf's. I wear them everyday as blush, but then again I'm a nc15. They really last a long time, so i think it's worth the extra $$. I can't wear So Ceylon though it's too bronzed for me. I love Light Flush,Petticoat,Warmed,Glissade,Northern Light,Porcelain Pink and Stereo Rose. What can I say, I'm a MSF addict.

I am going to try and depot my first shadow tonight. I am so scared to ruin the shadow so I am going to use Satin Taupe because I can easily replace it. I am going to try the hair straightner method. I'll let you all know how it goes or if I chicken out!

^^It's really easy! When I did it the first time I was scared, but the flat iron way is so easy, you just get faster & faster at doing it.

The only time I tried I used a hairdryer & it worked well for me! I figured I had less chance to burn myself that way, lol. I think I read how here on Specktra & it was pretty easy
