I need to get Petticoat before BBR comes out or risk never getting it for less than 40-50 bucks.

I currently have Petticoat, Gold Deposit and Soft & Gentle..I just feel like these MSF's are different (like the shimmerbricks) as they go from light to dark..I don't know if I need anymore, I just feel like I will be missing out if I don't get another one...hhmmmm..i dunno..What do you guys think?? Maybe I don't need Brunette and Blonde..maybe I should just be getting one since I already have a pinkish MSF and darkish MSF....which one should I go for as I won't be able to swatch

I'm about NC 40 to NC35..

Rubbing alcohol..uggh..I hate that method..takes alot longer in my opinion!! You have to have wire cutters and cut a slit in the plastic part of the pan..then you take a q-tip and squeeze rubbing alcohol in the crack of where you made the cut...once enough rubbing alcohol gets in there, it loosens up the glue and you are able to pop it out..

Besides, whats the fun in depotting if you cant get a little "happy wiff" off the melting plastic......hahahahahaha!! Joking..totally joking!

I just have a plain MSF, this collection would be my first purchase of shimmery one. I wouldn't open a can on you.

I use the rubbing alcohol method, too. I like that method the best because it let's me get out mini-bursts of aggression popping shadows out and cutting with the wirecutters whenever I feel the need.

I feel the same way, that if I don't get one of these, I will be missing out on them since they are different, but I also feel I get caught up in the hype of MSFs yet I don't use the ones I have very much. I have Shimpagne, Gold Deposit, Shooting Star, Lightscapade, Petticoat, Gold Spill and Light Flush already and like I say they are hardly used. Will this be worth the extra $30?

However, if you're interested in the BB Shimmerbricks, this might be a good substitute since they're $10 cheaper...

Actually, I don't use alcohol at all ... I just shove the flat end of a blemish extractor slowly in between the pan and the plastic and then rotate it to "cut" all the glue, then it just lifts out without a problem. I also went out and bought a pair of large toenail clippers to use instead of wire cutter because they fit the curve of the plastic insert perfectly.

It's quite easy to do actually and no accidents yet! :knocks on wood:

Does anyone know if the price for MSF is $28 just for this collection (crossing fingers) or if the price is increased to $28 for future releases as well?

Sorry this is OT but continuing on the straightener depotting method, what do you girls mean when you put the plastic on the straightener? On the heated plate or on the outside of the straightener? I'm a little confused sorry! TIA!

Since I have never tried the heated method I really wouldn't know ... but you make it sound worth trying

I know, I am glad someone understands! I just don't use mine that much, plus I also have a Laura Mercier Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc which is essentially that line's version of a Shimmerbrick or MSF. I think I am set when it comes to this type of product.

Rachel--I'm so having thoughts I won't get an msf. I have light flush, warmed, soft & gentle, and....well.....barely use em.

Though I'm intrigued by the stripes and how i could create eye looks with the diff stripes too instead of a regular msf.

I think I won't know til I get there and see it all in person!

Oh and with the no-heat depotting...well I tried it and chipped part of a shadow. The wire cutters were not working. Its so fast/easy for me to use the hair straightener so I'll go with what I know.
