Alone, though, if you have pigmented lips they will look pretty much colourless and boring. Knight is close enough to Knight Divine I don't need both. Henna is stupidly close to Sumptuous Olive. Deep Shade has TERRIBLE texture, and I also disliked the texture of 100 Strokes. If I want that shade, I can put sketch over a brown base, thanks, and I like the texture of my Sketch much better. Top Knot is GORGEOUS in the pot, but swatched like 
The brushes are lovely (duh). I like how cute and little the 226 is! The MSFs are beautiful. Redhead is incredibly gorgeous golden peachy love. Blonde is darker than you may expect, and definitely a blush on its own. Lacks the metallic sheen of petticoat and is more straight-up pink. They are absolutely different on me. Now, Brunette for the pale folks: this could work, but you had damn well better have a light hand. I found it less bronze than So Ceylon, and it's definitely very warm toned. Pretty, but not a must have for the pasty folk. If I missed anything, clearly it can't be that important. |

Maybe it's just me but I need to know. Am I the only one that was really dissapointed by the collection? All the shadows seem like colors I already have. The l/g and l/s didn't do much for me either. And I never tried the MSf's till today. Maybe they werent applied correctly but they seemed (looking for the right word) cakey? Maybe? It's like they stuck to the fine hairs on my face. Anyone else? But I did get the femme fi e/s and the 226 which I am sooooo happy I didn't pass on!

I'm jealous of everyone who got this collection today. The MA at Macy's called me back while I was showering. She left a message that BBR won't be released until Jan. 23rd there. My goodness... I guess their shipment got stolen. Did anyone else order by phone/online from Nordies?

I got a crapload of stuff in the mail today, too, including GRACIOUS ME, THE LAST SHADESTICK TO FINISH MY COLLECTION OF THEM!!!!! So, I'm pretty excited, and surrounded by a crapload of makeup.

I want it today, and I'd call to see if it actually was released but at this point I'm 40 min away at home, and don't feel like driving all the way over there today since I was already in that area this morning. Ok ladies and while we are introducing ourselves, I've been on a few months so I'm still a newbie. New to MAC also hence the username.
What I got and I tried on almost every last product.
Brunette and Blond MSF's. First let me say I don't own any. The Brunette was to die for. Surprisingly, the Blond was much much better looking on me that the Redhead. We didn't like the Redhead on me. It had what seem to be a lot more sparkly shimmery (sorry for the lack of MAC lingo) stuff going on.
Lipsticks. Let me further say I don't have any lipsticks at all until now. Just one Mattene from CoC. I ended up buying What A Do! Chignon and B-Babe. I was really surprised of how the B-Babe looked on me. I got lipglasses in case I wanted to wear them with the l/s in Live and Dye, Soft Wave and Pop Mode to wear over the Chignon. I got the 226 brush also. Next week if they have any left I will get the 165 and the 214.
I passed on every last shadow. Now if for some reason I have extra mulah lying around I will go get like 1 or 2 of them. They definitely weren't a necessity as I am still collecting.
It was so much fun and took about an hour to try them all on. As a bonus I got the Kanga Rouge l/s with Venetian to wear with since I didn't like the Matte look.
Whew! So excited.

The MSFs are lovely, but, like any cheek colour, best when buffed in. These are truly lovely when applied correctly. Where they are so soft, though, I can definitely see them getting cakey if not properly applied - I used my finger to buff the swatches in some on my hand when testing them out.
