Ok, I kinda think this is weird - unless I'm missing something. The BBR looks are really, really pretty, but I noticed that they did not use even one of the MSF's on them???

Have the same problem.

that was the best collection ever. I spend so much money without even blinking *sigh*
Maybe you should get a blog and try to cure us?

But being addicted to this stuff is so much fun. MAC Sobriety would be boring.

But seriously, this is making me go broke. Must stop.

I noticed the same thing. I bought the Blonde one yesterday. Thinking about returning it because although it's pretty it's not that special. That information, and looking at their face charts that don't use them to me that just screams "gimick" rather than uniqueness.

Of course, I'm also starting to feel that about this entire collection since at least two of the E/S are near identical matches of two perm e/s. For me, the lipglasses are the clear winners here.

I don't think MAC or any other cosmetics company can come out with unique colors month after month after month. I guess I just view the collections as suggestions for pairings and looks, and figure it's up to me to see if I have dupes.

- I got the Nordies 25% off on my order yesterday. I was completely surprised. There was only 1 214 brush left ??? so, I'm not sure if I actually got it - yet.

But, from what I saved...I ended up putting a pair of earrings into the order

YAY! Good for you! My Nordies told me(in an annoyed voice) they would do it but I decided to go to Macy's rather than drive 1.5 hours and deal with an annoyed person.

I agree with you. However, when the dupes are this close and in the exact same line of makeup I get a little mad. It's not like Expensive Pink and Sumptuous Olive aren't available anymore. Why not just put them in the collection in place of Henna and French Cuff? Saves everyone time and hassle.

^^ Very true Styrch. ITA there!

Tish, are you still liking Pincurl? Can you compare it to Crystal if you're familiar with that one?

I have heard all the reviews on the Blondes MSF and I have tested compared and everything else...It did not make enough difference on my skin to warrant the purchase if I already had Petticoat....My petticoat may be less veiny maybe...or less glittery as some call it ...But regardless once applied to the blush brush...the results ON ME we almost identical

Don't you hate that when they act all annoyed with you the customer. I called MAC yesterday to ask a question & the gal was like that with me. Geesh...sorry to bother you at your J.O.B. Did I interrupt you filing your nails at work or somethin?
lol.gif

This is kinda funny...When I called Nordies cs the first 2 times, men answered the phone, so I hung up
lol.gif
sorry...but I just didn't think they would get it. So, the third time was a charm & I got this absolutely lovely gal that was so sharp & very very nice! So that's prolly why I got it.

So what all did you end up ordering besides the 214 Elegant?

I depot my blushes. I use an actual iron meant for ironing clothes, because the larger surface allows me to heat the whole blush pot evenly. It works really well.

I have both! I don't see purple in Pincurl. It's a grey with pink, where Crystal is a greyish purple. Pincurl is a lot softer and smoother, too.

Wait for it

Are you all surprised? Go on, I bet you are
winks.gif
Did I need them? Not really. Do I need BBR- nope. But I wanted pretty new lacey things so it wasn't a tough decision.

Anywho, I thought about it and I worry that 100 strokes (the only e/s I considered buying) would make me look bruisey (nw20). Anyone else thinking along the same lines?

I tried it against my Petticoat last night and Petticoat definitely had more raspberry iridescence due to the veining than Blonde which doesn't have any. But they are both in the same family. I'm NC15 and having a little bit of trouble deciding. Blonde reminded me of using MAC Angel and Strada together... which I can do if I want.

Blonde is pretty, don't get me wrong. It's a perfectly good purchase, especially if you don't want the glitteriness of the usual MSFs. But if you buy it for the gradient, don't worry about that too much... it all blends together on your face anyway.

Freckletone and Marquise d' are NOT alike, Freckletone is much more... yellowish? on me. I like Marquise d' MUCH better. B-Babe can not be duplicated by the Rose Lips lipsticks because it is stupidly frosty, and they are not. I like them much better.

Okay thanks! Sounds like I might want Marquise d', but not B-Babe. I'll have to try them on my in the store, though!

I just noticed on the Canadian MAC website that Top Knot is listed as a frost...that's not true, is it? I thought it was a velvet?

The texture works great for me and I actually use Fix+ r Charged Water on my brushes for most shadows...But as you can see as dark as I am ....Top Knot does not show black on me...I can see the dark purple in it (hopefully your monitor shows like mine, anyway)

Pincurl is a pink/lilac silver on me not white at all....
