Thanks everyone for all the great thoughts and swatches--I was supposed to get my "fix" yesterday but we are kind of in the middle of a family emergency...soooooo I called my counter and had them hold everything *hopes it REALLY gets held for me* So I am sitting here at the hospital on my laptop checking in. Again thanks everyone just going through the posts and reading all the funny comments makes my day-you girls are seriously awesome

Am I the only one not impressed by this collection? I stopped by MAC today to check out BBR and B2M a few things, but I just....didn't like any of it! I have petticoat and light flush MSF and I just got a 3 pack of (awesome) bronzers from Too Faced (Snow Bunny, Sun Bunny, and Pink Leopard) so they weren't appealing either. And all of the shadows were pretty dupeable, IMO and the lipglosses? I mean they were ok, but not worth the money to me.

Anyone??

I need to correct something I mentioned yesterday as well for the Toronto ladies. The Bay at Yorkdale does not have the collection out yet, but the f/s MAC store there does.

Ok...I got French Cuff and used it this morning and while I really like it, the texture is awful. There is literally no payoff. It's almost as if they pressed this shadow with a really high pressure (and that usually makes the shadow so hard there is no payoff)...is anyone else noticing this or did I just get the lemon of the bunch? I wasn't expecting a smooth and creamy texture but it's so hard and it's very difficult to get any on my brush...

Weird! maybe I should exchange for another one or just get 100 Strokes instead.

Let me know if your French Cuff is like this!

After swatching everything in the store - very quick, solid decisions on Pincurl, Knight and Chignon.
They're all cold/cool and I love them all!! Very wintery...then I tripped and fell on Moon over Mumbai nailpolish at Trade Secrets: everything cold and grey in a good way!
Chignon especially is the only thing I've considered buying a backup of. It's a wonderful chameleonlike (yet definitely purple) colour. You can really do so much with it. I was unfamiliar with Glazes, but I really like this one!

So glad I didn't get this one!! I mean, the color is pretty, but I hate when I have to work and work and work to get an eyeshadow to payoff...I mean, these eyeshadows are $17.00 FREAKIN dollars (CDN) It better well payoff in color! That, or be able to make me coffee in the morning..hahahaha...

thanks for all the new swatches, they are very helpful! and beautiful to look at!

what stroke me with Damsel's swatches was how pale the redheadMSF was. it actually looks like a striped version of Light Flush! I already have Light Flush, I was looking for something to use as a blush, not only as a highlighter. Is it really paler than both the blond and brunette MSF?

this is why i HATE plum dressing. Worst color payoff EVER.. I have to seriously pack it on my brush and then do it over and over and over to get any on my eyelid- and forget friggin blending it because then there's NO color at all- like i didnt even use 1/2 a pan just to get it on...FRUSTRATING!

I stopped by Macy's today to see BBR. It was totally unintentional, but all my selections wound up being from the blond collection. I got:
Knight e/s- I don't have Knight Devine, so this a good one for me
Strawberry Blond l/g- someone earlier described it as similar to partymate l/s from NN & I agree. So pretty.
Blond MSF- I usually steer clear of MSFs b/c anything too shimmery makes my pores look ginormous. But this was so suble- not obviously shimmery/glittery, just light reflective. Plus I like that one side is darker shades & the other is lighter so you can sort of "choose" how you want to wear it.
226 brush. Perfection. MAC should consider making this one perm. I might have to get another.
