Deep shade is going to work with your blues, purples, grays, and smokey eyes, so match what you have to each category, and go for it.

I do tend to wear neutrals so I guess color-wise that works.

I swatched Sunbasque, Eversun, Sweet as Cocoa, Blunt, X-Rocks....No color was as unique as the dark strip In Brunette MSF....But when I swatched Gold Deposit MFS...I was almost like one number before *Bingo*

Got my goodies! and finally was able to get into Specktra (after four days of not being able to) ...

I got all the shadows, all the lipsticks, glosses in Strawberry Blonde, Red Devil, Live and Dye, and Soft Wave. I got all three MSFs and the 165 brush .... which I am in love with.

I think I am going to go back and get the Quick Tease lipgloss too ... cause it was just so pretty.

Fun stuff!

I have already hauled and shopped and hauled some more, but after reading again the last 10 pages or so, I think I will return and re-check out blow dry quick tease and strawberry blonde.

Me thinks maybe ai should actually put them on my very pigmented but lovely lips and see what they look like instead of just looking at them in the tube...damn, I shoulda saved myself the time and gas and jsut bought them and then decided LOL

Re: MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion (Hair was WN)

I ordered Redhead already this morning, but I'm making a beeline for my nearest MAC counter at Macy's tomorrow morning. From the sounds of it, I really need to see these in person to make a decision, since so many of these things sound very similar to items I already have and I'm trying to only pickup things that aren't dupes.
My Macy's got the entire collection minus a few eye shadows and unfortunately a couple of the brushes.

I'm bringing swatches of my Porcelain Pink, Shooting Star and Petticoat msfs with me for comparison. I'm also depotting tonight so if some of the lipglasses call my name, I can respond in a fiscally responsible manner.

I'm thinking maybe Red Devil, Strawberry Blonde and Soft Wave. The lipsticks sound like they would just be to sheer for me and aren't really unique from items I already have.

and thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread. It makes shopping these collections so much easier.

I know it was mentioned before but I don't remember where, about Soft & Gentle MSF being too close to Redhead?

I just wanted to say that I now own both, and I'm NC15, and I find them to be different enough for me! S&G is like just putting a shimmery skin-colored sparkle on my cheeks, so I can use it for every day over any blush or bronzer. Redhead though is like a bronzey blush on me-SO pretty and perfect! It's not dark/brown enough to be a bronzer or anything, just imparts a pretty, shimmery peachy bronze glow on my face and I adore it!

If you're choosing between the two...REDHEAD. Soooo Redhead. It's beautiful!!

How strange, maybe they got shipments of Cult of Cherry instead of Red Devil? Anyone who still wants CoC call LA Macy's, they just might have some in.

I am going back and forth between getting the few things I cannot live without and just all out splurging. If I get just the bare-bones from this (Blonde & Redhead MSF, Strawberry Blonde & Live and Dye l/g, and 100 Strokes e/s, not including the 4 l/s I'm B2Ming for) I can escape for under $100. If I all out splurge, then end up spending about $180 - almost $100 more (and let's not forget the fact that I'm still peeved about that 25% off shenanigan MAC pulled).

Basically, I feel like if the economy is as bad as everyone says it is, then I will be able to get the rest of what I want from CCOs. Am I crazy?

actually that's been true of a lot of the collections this last year. Fafi and Heatherette have shown up as almost complete collections at my CCO. I don't think its just the economy, but too many collections too quickly, that they don't sellout anymore. Thats why I'm skipping the eye shadows, they'll all be there in a couple of months. That and I keep hearing how non-unique most of this collection is. I think if you're new to MAC and don't have a lot of msfs or lippies, then it would be a good starter collection. So for me, its a "need to see in person" collection, so I don't end up with a kazillion pink lippie or bronze msfs. Oops! too late

Well, there was the boob discussion and there seems to be big knockers by most including muah (38DD), then there was the do you need deep shade or top knot (is is blue or purple or swatch black), and you have to see the collection, and I think most who have seen the collection are like we have to go back because we missed something. So if you start from here, this is where we are at.
