For combos, how about

deep shade, flip, and henna
knight, pincurl, and deep shade
100 strokes, french cuff, flip
femme fi, 100 strokes, french cuff

If you like rainbows, flip, henna, deep shade, french cuff and throw in 100 strokes

Did you all see Cult of Cherry l/g in the collection as a replacement? I just saw it and was so surprised they had any left over. Debating whether to just get it or not. What do you think? Get the CoC or wait for newer colors?

Try the top north west corner of Alberta....there's things I could tell ya that would chill u to the bone just listening to the stories..lol....I love how Toronto (and other Canadian Cities...Vancouver, Victoria etc...) get SNOW days...where they don't have to work if It snows too much! I wish

I would never be working then!!

but my sister now lives in Victoria (she grew up in Northern Alberta)...and she can't even take the mild cold weather they get there anymore..so I guess you just get used to whats around you.

Damn right we get snow days when it snows too much! Heck, our Mayor even called in the army once when we were supposed to get a big dumping, but then didn't (that was just hilarious!). My DH lived in Fort Churchill, Manitoba when he was a baby. Believe me, when his mom shows me the pictures I shiver!!! It's really cold here today though, really. It's instant snot freezing weather! I know, I know, nothing compared to where you are!

That would be ok with me - she's (jdechant) adorable! (even though she thinks I'm old)

I agree - I really hate the cold. The snow is really pretty today - but yeah, the cold sucks.

It really does suck! I think the Elegant School of Enabling has a nice ring to it! You should start taking applicants before HK is released!

And to stay on topic, I thought of you when I got Knight e/s! That and Charred are now my two favourite greys in my collection.

I'm thinking of returning my Blonde and Redhead MSF's. They look gorgeous in the compact and swatched on my hand but once on my face the color seems to turn on me. I've been using them as a blush and they really aren't that unqiue that I can't find dupes for them in my blush, MSF, and beauty powder collections. Anyone else disappointed in these?

So glad I passed on B-Babe (difficult as it was). I already have fast thrill & they look exactly the same...I wish I could just haul my collection with me to the MAC counter!

Just got the rest of my BBR

WOW - Red Devil is Gorgeous on! Use it sparingly & its a fabulous pinkish reddish coral. Because someone asked earlier - Petit Four is almost a light orangish peach in comparison.

Blow Dry - Beautiful light peachy pinky coral - I was afraid it would not show up on my pigmented lips - but it was lovely on.

I did this soft elegant look:

Face:
Redhead - just the 2 darkest shades under my cheekbones, the next light shade on just the apples of cheeks. Then I used the lightest shade & lightly highlighted high on top of cheekbone.
Eyes:
Use the darkest strip on the Redhead msf over entire eyelid. Highlight browbone & just above eyebrow with the lightest strip.
Use that fabulous (LOVE) 214 smudger to line top & bottom lashlines with 100 strokes es. Line over it with Molasses. You could also use the 226 to put 100 strokes into crease.
Lips:
Light application of Blow Dry
Light application of Red Devil - then on your bottom lip pout use Live & Dye lg.
Well, I loved it.

That 214 smudgey brush is the BEST brush ever! I have others & this is the best thin smuger ever!

Sorry - I'm like a kid with a new box of crayons

Geez! Ive been trying to get on here for the longest but Ive been going through...some things. BS, mostly.
ohboy.gif

Anyways...I am here to elaborate.

I swatched a lot of my new BBR the other day (stay tuned for crappy pics soon) and I have been wearing bits and pieces.

MSFs: Okay. These are gorgeous. However...I did think there was going to be more color, and more shimmer. The only thing I wish there was more of, is color..Blonde is super pretty...a nice pink, and I dont think its the same as Petticoat or Light Flush. Redhead...is pretty, but I dont feel like it deposits the same peachy goodness that its doing for u guys...for me its just like, plain natural neutral champagne shimmer. (Which is still gorgeous) Brunette might be my favorite. Im NW35..I know some of u are lighter but this isnt dark on me...not even close. Its just the right shade of bronzy shimmer...and ALL of the MSFs are very natural...the glow they give u is...perfect. Not metallic, not disco ball. Its just a really pretty glow. I am happy with these...also, a side note: I have been using all 4 stripes blended with eachother. Maybe to get more color, Ill just use the darkest shade.

Eyeshadows: I already commented on these. But Im just gonna say that 100 Strokes and Pincurl are freaking STANDouts. 100 Strokes is just such a gorgeous shade of shimmery dark burgundyish goodness. Stunning. And Pincurl is....well I love duochrome. So i think thats why I love this one. These are just really unique, IMO. Love them! I think this weekend I might take a chance and see how french cuff works for me, and probably henna, and thats it.

Marquise D..Ive been wearing it everyday. Perfect lip color...

Okay thats really all I had to say. Everything else hasnt gotten much love from me yet. Im gonna go post my really bad pictures up in the swatch thread. My pictures suck because A) my camera is new and I cant figure it out. B) I couldnt capture the shadows that well...they r better in real life. C) some of the swatches look...well you'll see

Yep, at first I swirled them all together & it basically lightened the whole color look. Then when I used the darker shades separate from the lighter, I liked them better.

I'm glad you're happy with your stuff. That stinks about the BS

Live and Dye is really pretty over smashbox's dual ended Gossamer lippie. Wonderful peachy pink shade, quite lovely.
