MAC By Request discussion

I was thinking about the lipstick restock, and I don't think that was the real one. With the Bloggers collection, they changed everything to Coming Soon and had it so that you could sign up to receive notification of the restock through the newsletter. I'm thinking they'll do the same thing for By Request since it's such a big deal, but I don't want to give false hope.

It's a personal preference to be honest. Why not try and swatch both and see which you like better? I can't say anything about Purple Rain as I've never tried it, but if it's any help I own Magenta and I use it for pinks and purples. Magenta isn't a flat color though which I like. Here's a photo of me with Magenta liner and OCC's Anime Lip Tar.

For those wondering, NYX Purple Rain is an exact dupe for MAC Magenta. I have both and use them both interchangeably.

Can someone tell me, do NYX lipsticks smell like NYX lipglosses? The smell of their lipglosses doesn't agree with me.

THX! I have Magenta and love it.

I thoroughly dislike the smell of the regular NYX glosses and lipsticks.

Can't stomach them.

The few I purchased, I gave away. The matte ones, however, have a lovely finish and don't have that cloying scent.

Maybe you could tone it down with a gloss or a lipliner? If not, I'm sure that someone here would be happy to swap for it or buy it.

i used Vino with CYY and it looked nice!!

idk about moxie. I liked moxie on me without a liner. I will try it with Vino tho as well and let you know.
