MAC By Request discussion

Am I the only one really disappointed in Jete? The colour is exactly what I was hoping for, but the texture is crap. There is zero colour payoff. I had to swipe it so many times, there's already a dip forming! Hardly the famous eyeshadow MAC is known for.

i kind of wanted it to be more peachy but other than im ok with it. sorry that your is crappy maybe you got a bad one??

Moth Brown came today! It is exactly the color I hoped for: Grey/Brown/ Purple. But I don't have one of the previous ones to ompare it to, so for me it's good. I am sorry to hear that some are not pleased with their Jete. I was going to place my order for Jete, FOF, and a Style Seeker blush Hidden Treasure on Friday. I still plan to unless I hear tons more aren't happy with it.

YES!! i love my moth brown too!!!! i swatched it on my hand and ask my brother what color was it? and he just moved my hand around and was like "brown, gray but dark and some purple" i was like yes!

My Jete is very soft - definitely not powdery. It was a little too cool for me, and while I know I could have made it work paired with warmer shades, I just gave it to my daughter. It looks great on her just as a wash of colour. If something is just ok on me and fabulous on her I usually end up just giving it to her because I know I won't reach for it much.

MB has really grown on me. It's a nice alternative to Satin Taupe as a smokey crease colour. I'm really glad I got it although I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I'd realized how grey it is.

My Moth Brown arrived today too. I love it. It's hard for me to wear grays because I really prefer warm eyeshadow, but this is like a shimmery version of copperplate. I mean it's not life-changing or mind blowing or anything...it's just an eyeshadow, but I like it.

I plan to swatch tommorow. This dang log home doesn't have an ounce of good lighting. Everything has an amber glow about it due to lighting not bouncing off of white walls. Note to any log home enthusiasts: build home with lots of windows! We are currently in the process of taking out our back door to install either french doors or a slider just for the additional light source!

Since I'm new, a few of my posts have been held for moderation and as a result, some have not been posted. I hope this posts! (Fingers crossed!)

Anyway, I received my Moth Brown (far right) today and here how it compares to Scene (far left) and Copperplate (middle). MB looks more brown in natural light and when the camera flash goes off, the color take on a slate-ish tone with a light lilac/bluish hue. It is a pretty shadow for sure.

My mothbrown is a nice soft smokey alternative to my regular soft smokey: hocus pocus. I like it a lot. Jete reminds me too much of the skin finish in the extra dimension collection so I am not sure if I wanna keep it. The blushes from style seeker are sooooo meh, I might swaP em :/

I have never seen it, and would change the channel but hubby is watching football and I am on my best behavior due to all those darn black boxes showing up! LOL

I think is both Jete and MB are ok colors, nothing special. If I had known I wouldn't have ordered them, they are def. wearable and I can get some use out of them but nothing out of the ordianary or amazing.

My MB and Rocker never arrived today... Yesterday it said there was a "late train" but still shows as being on schedule to be delivered today... Thursday! Lol so glad it wasn't a huge haul or I'd be really sad

RANT: So.....I got the notification that my order was delivered and signed for yesterday morning at 10:48 by someone named Sam. Problem? The security guard's name is Kenny. The driver apparently wrote in the remarks section that no one was at the security desk (LIE: The aforementioned Kenny is a supervisor and doesn't leave the desk unattended and the concierge was there too so...LIE) so he went to the office, where someone signed for it and it was left at the reception desk. Problem? The building office isn't even visible when you enter the lobby and they do not, under any circumstances, accept packages for tenants. Mr. UPS Driver would have been directed back to the security desk to have them sign for and lock up my MAC box. I called UPS who told me to call the shipper. No help. I called MAC and while helpful, they can't do anything (file a claim, etc.) until the 22nd. If the items I ordered are sold out by then, I'm just screwed. So, I called UPS again to find out who the driver was and they wouldn't tell me so I'm heading to the distribution center tomorrow to find out myself because clearly, he stole my box.

I will have answers and I will get my damn box. I'm so mad I could scream! I've never had a package disappear so this particular one, with it's LE stuff that was damn near over-nighted to me, irks me. RANT over.

You're right! It does have that almost buttery soft metallic like sheen to it. It's just too cool and frosty for me, but if I could pull off that kind of colour I'd be thrilled with it.

That sucks. Sorry that happened to you and I hope it's resolved soon and you get your package full intact.
