My pre-order was like 300 frickin' dollars. That's how gorgeous the collection is.

Want to hear something funny? I had two missions at the mall today:

1. Swatch for the Specktra Crew
2. Order drapes and a chair

Well, I got so damn excited to see the collection that I went straight there and started swatchin' like a fool. Then I realize, 'Hmmmm....I still need to go buy drapes and furniture.' Yeah, I was walking all over Pottery Barn with swatches. Despite my explanation, the sales lady was still a bit confounded.

Now who is going and getting funny looks from other people due to swatches being all over her hands. :AHEM:

That being said, I think brought it on with the swatches. Colour forms will be my bitch

I know. I have swatching issues. I think they make a cream for that

I would love for some additional swatch photos of the lip products and the individual colours of the Colour Forms Powder. Perhaps you will have better luck photographing them than I did.

I'm loving the lipsticks...
Looks like from this collection I'll be getting the Royal Flush pigment, Basic Brush Set, Play Around Pink Powder, and the nude-ish and bright pink lipsticks.
I'm not feeling the eye or lip palettes at all for some reason.

I love it. We will probably self-combust into a cloud of solar white and descend into a warm chill.....Now I'm just getting corny!!!

I can see Mac Whore waiting for us at the entrance of the pearly gates with Audrey and Elegant One shrouded in robes of plummage and climate blue. Mac Whore will be wearing her Red She Said gloves and holding the clipboard filled with the names of all those who did MAC wrong!! She will bitch-slap them down to a hell filled with nothing but so called "Au Naturel" beauties!!!

Its been a week since I saw the tester and can't get the swatch outta my mind!! The color is soft, but def not a typical spring looking baby pink. It really does have a pop! And everyone needs naked to the core..

Blue steel.. I wasn't so impressed either.. Its very gritty feeling IMO.. And the color is kinda blah.. Female rich metal I was SO excited about, but I hated it in person.. Its pink in the pot but an ugly greenish gold on the skin.. Dark influence however is nice..

The palettes are very cute, and of the lippie palettes would be a nice addition.. Of the 2 eyes.. Eh take em or leave em lol.

Hope this helps someone out there!!

yeah i'm almost posi that i wont get any of the palettes, lip or eye, and neither of the powders (i might be the only one who hates the look of them) but i'm defff getting both pop circle and naked to the core, and i think im getting steel blue, ill have to test it, and rose bullion though i have to test that too. and possibly gilded green and tea time. and im getting one of the basic and advanced brush sets for travel.

Re: Colour Forms Collection Discussion Thread

well as I see more swatches it's getting easier to pass on some things. I def want all 4 lippies and 2 piggies in tea time and circa plum. I did want the warm eyes palette but two of the colors (copper and green/gold) reminded me of the dior golds quad, so i can pass. I like how they're laid out tho and I almost want to buy it because it looks so fun lol I want to get samples of gilded green and royal flush tho.

i can pass on the richmetal highlighters, just not impressed. I hate lip palettes, i'm OCD about my makeup and those get gunky and become a PITA. I do want the powders but I need another blush like a big hole in the head. If I have extra $$ I will get the bronzey one but the Mineralized ones are coming out around the same time, so I'd rather get those.

I'm excited for piggies tho, does anyone else think that Royal Flush looks like Revved Up? Or is that only in pics?

Ok. I still have Pastorale pigment and I really love it.

I would love to get Gilded Green, but I will go to a pro store in July and want to pick up some pro pigments as I don't come often there. I must pass Gilded Green as it is too expensive.

What should I get instead? Emerald Green or Chartreuse??

I LOVE the swatches. I'm undecided on Pop Circle though.
oh.gif

But yeah, I do want Inner Hue, Naked to the Core.
And Rose-Go-Round.. I need to decide if I want another red lippie.

The Warm eyes palette is SO tempting...
but yeah... I don't know if I should...

I spend my day following the Gideons to hotels. After they leave, I replace their bibles with face charts.

I guess we shall see. That reminds me of a Jack Handy quote:

"After I die, and they're reading a list of my sins, I hope I don't fall asleep. Sorry, heard it all before."

Oh snap, I forgot I have a small sample of that!

I think Revved Up is going to be a little more cool-toned/blue pink rosy, while Royal Flush is more red and a little more warm (or at least neutral.) Hopefully someone will swatch them together, though. If no one's done it by the next time I'm near the counter, I'll try to remember to do it.

For those of you have seem them, I was wondering if the brush handles are like the black used for the Tailormade col. (similar to the finish on the full size brushes) or glossy like the ones in the 2006 Holiday sets?

How about the blushes; what do you think of those?

They are glossy like the '06 Holiday sets.

I really liked the Colour Form powders. I ended up pre-ordering Sun Centered, I think they are on the light side to be blushes. I think most of the Richmetal Highlighters would be good cream blushes!
