Oh, I do have to say that the middle color pink in the pink cool lip palette was verrrry pretty! In fact, it matched the nail polish I was wearing exactly. Kind of a pretty Rosey Lovelorn type color. On that, I may cave

yeah, i went in today and my mua said the same thing. i told her i heard otherwise but she said that it could not be the 11th because the 18th coincides with a nordstroms anniversary and the mac exclusive always comes out that day.

so i pre-ordered the following:
pop circle
naked to the core
inner hue
warm eyes palette
royal flush

observations:
lipsticks= though there is nothing particularly unique about these colors they are still lovely. they go on super creamy, smooth and pigmented. i'm in love with the ones i got. i can see myself wearing these on a day to day basis. rose go round is ok. it's definitely on the burgundy side. i'll stick to port red thank you.

pigments=eh. nothing particularly awesome here. even though the colors are colors that i would wear i don't believe they are awesome enough for me to warrant paying $19.50 for a jar that would last ages. royal flush is an exception of course. beautiful frosty red. i wish that it was more of a "true" red but it will do for now.

eye pallets=the warm pallet is the best one hands down. i have no problem will cool colors whatsoever but the pallet was just blah. the warm pallet had a better selection and color payoff imo. this was my mua's fav. also.

lip pallets=hmm... i'm too much of a neat freak/germ-o-phobe to have anything lip related in a pot form. regardless, the colors are indeed gorgeous. i just wish they were regular lipglosses/sticks.

powders=play around pink showed up rather chalky on my skin. sun centered was better. it showed up as a light shimmery beige/peach.

rich metal highlighters= color selection was not bad. i just have no use for them. plus, i'm scarred from my metal-x experience.

brush sets=cool if you don't already have any se brushes. i like the fact that they come with two bags. the smaller of the 2 is great for toting your brushes along with you on a daily basis.

Oh my God!! You know that they are probably going to launch this in another collection!!! MAC lipstick cams, tape recorder palettes, laser beam compacts....The list goes on. It'll be called the "Get Smart, Get MAC" collection and coincide with the release of "Get Smart"!!!!

AHAHAHAHAHA. I seriously had no idea that photography wasn't allowed and of course I am so grateful that nobody hassled me while I did my duty.

Secret cameras, I am so on that. I will do my spy work well

Well, i went in this morning to place my pre-order... they had the palettes and brush sets out, but no lipsticks or pigments. When I asked the SA, she told me there weren't any lipsticks, but then went to check her book anyway and saw that there were! Sooo, needless to say, she wasn't much help. So I placed my order for the warm eyes palette and wanted Pop Circle and Circa Plum as well, but I may have to call back tomorrow and speak to the manager to see about that i guess

Ladies, i was good! I didn't swatch any of the other palettes! And as I was driving there, i started having second thoughts on the warm eyes, because the red shade looks a little coppery on my computer, but irl, it is a muted red, almost a wine colour but not deep. It looked amazing blended in with the brown shade in the palette and the green shade is just gorgeous, more vibrant than sumptuous olive but still an olive-y green shade. I'm happy!

As I am addicted to palettes in special packaging it is a must have for me!

Yay for you being good! Your review's gonna make me bad, tho... I'm so lemming that Warm Eyes palette! If I had to walk away with just one thing that'd be it. Especially after your description of that green shade.

And the cool palette would be definitely next on my list!

Well, i don't mean to be an enabler, lol! There are a few things to consider, one being that there is an olive green shade in the Starflash collection and the remainder of the palette isn't really unique (but still pretty). Having said that, I really did like it, and that's saying a lot from a non-palette kinda gal! I think this just might become my favourite palette to date, with Inventive Eyes a close second.

Got mine this morning..only the pigments. I got all of them even though some might not be popular but it never fails, 1 year later every one wants it, lol
