Tell me more and I'm sold heehee!

More? You can also give them over Blue Peep Fluidline or Aqualine Liquidlast Liner and blend it out softly...
Or use them as a liner underneath...

Can you help me please!

Of course I would get all of the e/s when they come to Europe, but unfortunately I don't have so much money. So I decidet to get 5 of them (waht a difference
smiles.gif
) :
warm Chill
Gulf Steam
Climate Blue
Blue Flame
Solar White

Do I need to take Cool heat to?
smiles.gif
I already have Parrot and I don't use it really often. And I like the warming trend also - which one is better to highlight: warming trend or solar white?

thanx

If it was me, I wouldn't really worry about Cool Heat too much. But you HAVE TO HAVE Solar White!! There really isn't anything that compares. If you're trying to get the best bang for your buck and you really like neutrals, I'd nix Blue Flame and get Warming Trend. Climate Blue, Gulf Stream, Warm Chill, Warming Trend and Solar Heat would give you enough variations to do some beautiful eyes....JMO.....

Same here, I say get Cool Heat over Warming Trend. But again I like brights a lot more than neutrals

Really? Cool Heat? That looked terrible on me. I have very pale skin though. Do you have olive skin? Mine is very pale with pink undertones. I found that for some reason Cool Heat and Blue Flame both looked rather odd on me. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. Perhaps I skipped over something I should have purchased. I know that Parrot looks heinous on me, so no loss there.....

Let's keep in mind, I'll always go back for a second round if you suggest it. Now I'm on the Plummage train whereas I used to hate it....

No, If you have Parrot, and you dont use it that often, I dont think you *have* to have Cool Heat. I like Warming Trend, but Solar White is better for highlighting imo, and Warming Trend is more dupeable too. I think you made a good selection!

Just posted 2 more FOTD using these colors (and Plumage!) Oh, and Susanne, one is using Chartreuse pigment with a few of the Cool Heat colors. I love Emerald Green, but after using Chartreuse, I am really liking that one too, so I say get them both

You NEED Solar White! And texture-wise, Warming Trend is easier to work with than Cool Heat. (And if you have Parrot and you don't use it that often, then don't get Cool Heat, the texture is hard to work with.) If you don't use brights that often, I'd skip Cool Heat.

I would say that you don't really need Warming Trend unless a) you are into neutrals, b) you HAVE to own every Veluxe Pearl out there, or c) you are trying to build up your collection. Cool Heat can go on a bit patchy but my trick is to apply it with a 275. That is also what helps with satin shadows like Pagan and Sushi Flower.

I'm an NC35, and love the color. I've seen it on paler ppl and it still looked good.

Btw, thanks to you girls here, i went back today and bought Solar White and Warm Chill! I was gonna skip those two, but this thread made me want them so bad I coudn't resist

Chartreuse is my favourite green piggie/eyeshadow from MAC. I'm also wearing it with my cool heat stuff

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I really need to spend some time in the FOTD and Tutorial section to learn how to wear these colors.
I am starting to feel remorse for buying so many blues with out knowing how to wear them.
nonono.gif

They are so pretty in the packaging though. i just hope I can pull them off

Does anyone have a tip for a really a light blue eye for starters? Not light blue the color but light application. Know what i mean?

Honestly, I was TERRIFIED of blues when I first started wearing MAC. I have blue eyes and always thought that those people who say "blue eyes can't wear blue" were right. Pfffft. Whatever. Anyway, now, blues are my favorite color to wear. 99% of the time, I wear a light neutral color on the lid with blue in the crease. If you have Solar White or Warming Trend from this collection, wear them on your lid and blue in the crease, or just in the outer V. Another thing I do often, if the blue is too much for my liking, sweep Vanilla pigment over the blue after you apply it. It softens the color a bit. Use blue as a liner if you are unsure of it. I promise, once you find a way to wear blue where you are comfortable, you will love it.

That was great advise Audrey! Cocodivatime I can see how the cool heat collection can be a little scary to use at first but using it with a soft hand and a good blending brush they are totally wearable.

Thanks ladies. My first package arrived today (I placed a few orders during the sale. LOL). I will probably sit down and play with it this weekend.

Great tip about using Vanilla to soften the blue. Luckiky i already have vanilla e/s so I don't need to run out and buy it
