i think that's because she swatched it lightly. it looks pretty opaque in everybody else's swatches

It has much more color than the other swatches you saw.

I'd really not want to wear a color like that as a highlight, but on Christine it looked sooooooo pale that I didn't know if you needed to apply the whole pot for it to show up, lol. I do love MoodRing, especially over Rollickin' paintpot. Ugh, this is the one color I keep going back & forth on!!! I can't decide

Submarine would be closer to Blue Flame, not Cool Heat. Cool Heat is teal and has alot more green than Submarine. I think there is a comparison of Submarine against Blue Flame by Tinkerbelle in the swatch thread.

If you love Moodring, you will love Warm Chill. They are similar. I think this one will be one of the first to sell out

If you can afford it, I say get it (It is my fav of all of the shadows), and if you decide you don't like it or it is too similar to what you have, I am sure it will swap/sell well

agreed. submarine is a brighter blue, while blue flame is deeper and darker.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Erine [or ne one] could you swatch Gentle Simmer SS next to Bare SS and Long Stem Rose SS. I know these are all various pinks and I'm only allowing myself one pretty pink slimshine cuz I want like basically all of the shadows haha. I'm NW 15 to NW 20 with fairly pigmented lips and idk which one would be best...opinions?? Thanx so much!!!!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I bought Big T a month or so ago off the MAC site (I think they are out now) but I forgot about it until Cool Heat swatches showed up. So now I'm wondering if I want to keep it and skip Cool Heat or sell it and get Cool Heat instead. I'm thinking i won't use both. Which has more green? Greens seem to look better on me than blue. Also how does the finishes compare? Thanks

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I at first wanted all the shadows in the collection, but now I think all I want are Cool Heat, Warming Trend, and Gulf Stream. I think I want to snag an Aquavert off ebay instead of Warm Chill.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful info!!

And I have a question for y'all: I'm heading to my counter today and want to get a base for these. What would you say would work better as base--Delft or Greenstroke? Or should I get a second Sea Me (because I think my counter still has these)?

i'll see if i can get around to doing a swatch for you tomorrow, but just so you know - Gentle Simmer isnt even close to pink IRL. very much a pearly peach shade, closest to that of Funshine and Missy (hence i compared them to those two because it seemed far too different to Bare and Long Stem Rose to be worth swatching)
HTH!

I bought Cool Heat and when I went home and tested it against Big T, it is almost identical, so I am about to take Cool Heat back to the store and get something else.

I usually use Greenstroke for my green eyeshadows and it works great

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Ahhh, I thought I was going to be able to pass on half the shadows, but all the swatches from you lovely ladies changed that!! Pretty sure I want all of them (except Blue Flame, will have to see that one in person). And I want three of the Slimshines! Plus I have to try Turquatic Heat because the reg Turquatic is my fave
smiles.gif

So much for limiting myself... ha!

Greenstroke will be a great base for the lighter greens in this collection - Gulf Stream and Warm Chill.
