Adina (Krasevayadancer) in her review posted "it was Turquatic heat that came home with me. Its so fruity and floral, light and crisp! Perfect for summer!"

I'm willing to bet that if you wanted to interrogate her further on the matter, you could. :p

Beautiful Iris is the *only* eyeshadow I have completely finished. It is my favorite shadow ever! I absolutely LOVE to wear it with Trax in the crease and Seedy Pearl as the highlight. I also love to wear it with Shimmermoss. I get compliments galore from MAC MA's when I wear it and go to MAC. If they ever discontinued Beautiful Iris, I would be devastated! This is my go to comfort eyeshadow.

It also helps that it is named after one of my all time favorite bands (iris).

Sorry for the interruption, but you have to try this shadow. It's a VP too. It is butter and oh so pretty! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Wow! I have never really been interested in Beautiful Iris but after your review I might have to check it out. Thanks!

Honestly, when I smelled it, it didn't smell too much different than the regular Turquatic to me. It is a little bit warmer, but if it were in the Turquatic bottle, I probably wouldn't notice the difference. I sprayed it on my wrist, and I really liked it, but probably because Turquatic is my favorite MAC fragrance. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't have very good staying power. I think of it more as a refresher, not at a perfume. It isn't very strong at all.

I've never smelled any mac perfume...I really want something hot and cuban and sexy and sweaty...
lol.gif
Would u say it is the same strength as a body splash or a little stronger? I don't even care...if it smells good, I'm buying it. Its not expensive, sooo it doesnt matter to me lol

I'd say the same strength as a body splash, maybe a little stronger when it is first applied. I had to apply Turquatic a few times a day. It is not heavy, which is really nice for summer time (especialy when it is 90 degrees!) It DOES smell good, so you don't have to worry about that.
smiles.gif
I like that it isn't expensive, and even if I have to apply, I like the smell. Not only that but you can use the bottle for B2M. If you have never used a MAC perfume, you should try it. The MA said that Turquatic is MAC's #1 selling fragrance, and this is similar, so I think you will like it.

Or maybe your powers to sway us are getting stronger and you were able to make me add that to my list subconsciously!!! Hmmm....

So here is my almost final list!

Solar White
Warming Trend (still iffy on this)
Warm Chill
Blue Flame
Tropic Glow slimshine (B2M)

I cannot wait! I need some serious retail therapy!

This is exactly what I'm wondering as well. Deep Truth looked a touch darker in the swatch pics.

Hmmm, hot sweaty and cuban? Really, I am not sure what that smells like, and to be perfectly honest, if anyone put hot and sweaty anything in a bottle, I would steer clear of it!

IMO, DT may be a tad darker, but that is only because the color payoff is much better. I know not everyone will agree with me, but that is just my thinking. And I know Blue Flame is described as a metallic navy blue, but honestly, it didn't seem any more or less metallic than Deep Truth.

same with me. i have to do like 10 squirts every few hours for it to stay. when i described turquatic heat, it was in comparison to turquatic. if you smelled it on its own, i prolly wouldn't say that's how it smelled. but if you smell it after turquatic, its warmer and sexier.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Sorry, this is a little off topic but speaking of MAC's fragrances which would you say is the most floral? I love florals, especially lilac. And do all of them have about the same staying power or are some lighter/heavier than others? I've never tried any of them but now my interest is peaked.

Beautiful Iris is a good choice! It has a soft color payoff but you can intensify it by applying it once more. I love it for blending the crease.

It is definitely one of my favourite colours and I find that it can have decent payoff-I haven't tried it over primer though. I love it because it's so pretty and some days, I just want to do a pretty look, or I know I'll be bussing it a lot and the weather stinks...that and Violet pigment is a great no-fuss look for me.

That being said, I'd love to see pics of your collection erine.
