I took a pic to show my friend and she agreed......looked like I had no makeup on at all! Turns out she is one of the managers there and she also told me at another time that I can't wear winged liner because of my hooded eyes

. I told Ashley the MUA that I really like and is the nicest one what she said and she said she was a terrible person with people like that and says a lot of stuff she shouldnt

that sucks that she didn't do what you wanted and did what she wanted! if i wanted a bold look and came out with a sheer one i wouldn't be impressed either. and that's mean she said you can't wear winged liner! have you tried it yourself to see how it looks?

It's sad that people like that work for mac. Maybe you can just ignore her and only speak to the other MUA's. That's what i would do.

Also I see Gorgeous Gold in there too and I had wanted that so badly awhile ago, went to MAC and asked the MUA there to do a look with it. She flat out told me no because it wasnt going to look right on me. I kept insisting on it and she kept saying "no it's not going to look right...it has too much green in it". I too look better in warm tones but that doesnt look too "cool" to me. Anyway hope the pic helps

thanks i see the difference. i love that going bananas looks so buttery. adding that to my list.

shockoholic
sassy grass
going bananas

the MUA should have done what you asked. sometimes they are surprised by looks you suggest and create for yourself!

I know! Like I have mentioned before, the MAs at my store are horrible, but the ones at my counter are, like, the nicest people I have ever met. That's why I go to my counter over my store.

I seem to remember someone mentioning that Crest the Wave and Going Bannana are similar. If anyone has both can you please do a comparison swatch?

I quoted SuSana's post before, but do it again. Her images are amazing.

Oh!! Michelle that's a horrible experience!!

I don't know why some MA's don't get buying make up should be a fun rewarding experience!!

You're spending your hard earned cash in something that, to be honest it's not a necessity. Besides, make up loving people not only get "complimenting shades". It's all about fun and creativity!!

If you're at your counter and you ask for a shade to bring out your eyes, I get you're suggested a particular shade; but if you say I want a neon orange e/s you should be served no matter what.

Just for my input to a post on a previous page, I have paired blue with pink alot! Looks pretty awesome together!
winks.gif
I have green eyes so I am soo sick of hearing purple to bring my eye color out, so I like to use different combos or colors to play with it.

I guess the thing is that I'm fairly inexperienced anyway with makeup and color combinations, so I would be more inclined to taking any advice that is given, whereas I can definitely see that if you're more experienced than I am and have tried lots of different things already and have come in for the specific purpose of trying some certain color, then they should definitely do what you ask! It would be terrible to go in and say, "I want to try a yellow-green eyeshadow combination" and have them tell you that it'll look bad!

Sorry if it seemed like I was defending an MA who doesn't give you what you want! I just wanted to say that if you're like me and don't have anything/any color in particular in mind and are basically open to anything that will look good, that something like that (an MA telling you that a color won't look good) could be helpful.

Yes I do winged liner quite alot but Ashley did tell me when I told her what the manager said, that I can wear it but have to do it slightly different. She did a double winged liner on me this past winter and I posted the pic
greengrin.gif
. Then she did it when I had the TTB makeup done by her and she used the Float on By

I do try to ignore her when she's there
tong.gif
. She was pretty pregnant when I saw her a few months ago and I didnt see her the last two times I went in June so maybe she's on maternity leave

Hypatha thanks! That was the only time she did that to me. Kayley the thing is I told her I wanted a green and gold look and told her specifically what colors I wanted to use. I had said Gorgeous Gold and Humid. I had watched a YT vid and told her that right off the bat but she did not want to use GG on me. She also was talking down to another employee correcting him about a product in front of me after the customer he was dealing with left. I thought that was bad

so, i'm not sure what all info we have/need, so i'm just gonna start typing!

dare to wear lipglass provides intense, bull coverage colour with a holographic pearl finish. bright-coloured, high-intensity pigments coat the lips, while holographic pearls gliten andshine on the lips to create a show-stopping gloss. it allows you to achieve the most intense colour and shine in one stroke. the gel formula gives the product a creamy soft texture that adheres comfortably to the lips.

they're cushiony like the lipgelees, with a medium tackiness (falls between lipglass and lustreglass).

THESE ARE STUNNING!!!
shockt.gif
i know i said i was gonna pass on em, buuuuuut, I MUST HAVE ONE OF EACH!!!

launches 7/29, all LE.

btw, this collection is inspired by lady gaga!
