Re: Dress Camp discussion

My package finally arrived! So I now have the palette, She-Gold and Too Fab. Too Fab looks gorgeous! So that concludes the saga of my Dresscamp lipstick that travelled western Canada! But seriously, I'm very glad that I did order everything except for Fashion l/g. Everything looks so pretty.

The newer lipglasses seemed much smoother & creamier to me. This collection was well worth the price. I just so wish that everyone here would've had the chance to order.

I really wish I could have tried that gold lipglass....I shouldn't have hesitated. I'm glad MAC doesn't make ALL collections so freaking limited as dress camp, gives us a greater chance to get something.

I guess Ill have a Sephora order to satisfy me...should come tomorrow!

I completely agree. I think if anyone deserves these products, it is the girls here on Specktra. Without having to pay outrageous prices on Ebay.

I have been tempted so many times to pay $30-something plus for the lipsticks and lipglasses on ebay. It has taken all of me not to click buy it now. I just need to realize that dress camp and me were not meant to be and look forward to all of the awesome summer collections that we can all get our hands on.

Re: Dress Camp discussion

So there is absolutely no way to get one of these palettes except for ebay? I tried checking the sales bin here with no luck and MUA had a few listed, but all were pending.

It just fries me that these ebay sellers mark up the prices so much. OK, maybe I'd consider paying $69 for the thing, but they tack on $11.99 for shipping! Give me a break! I tried to negotiate with the seller and asked if she'd consider $9 and got a "sorry, nothing lower than $10". You're telling me it costs $10 at the least to ship a first class mail envelope? She insists on using a flat rate package only. I swear ebay should take action on these sellers who jack people on shipping. I sold a large collection of books on ebay and charged $7 for S&H, and the thing weighed probably 8-10 lbs. Granted it was Media Mail, but still...

*mumble grumble* Curse MAC for doing this! I'm very irritated at how we had a two hour window to get one of these. >:-(

Ok....so Dress Camp isn't going to be released in Australia. What now?

I actually started crying when I read that. That is so lame, but this collection is so different from the others as I'm pretty sure every single item would ACTUALLY suit me. I am aware of dupes, but this collection is like all those wrapped into one with stunning packaging.

I would even be willing to pay the Australian RRP for it (like 3x USD)....but no, MAC decide not to release it here.

Is anyone willing to CP it from Thailand or something? Please PM me if so. *I will continue to live in dream land until I fall off this magical cloud og positivity*

Re: Dress Camp discussion

Finally I got my hands on the DressCamp collection, they are so so pretty. I bought everything except Fashion lg (think it is similar to Malibu Barbie). Today I just tested the colors out and imo the palette is the "MUST-BUY". The beauty powder is so...fine and pigmented and the eyeshadows complement each other very nicely. Too Fab lipstick is a little big bright for my skin color but I still got it for collection purpose. Finally She-Gold lg,I had already got a lg in gold (very similar to She-Gold) but I feel that I still have to get at least one of the lg for the pretty packaging.

Re: Dress Camp discussion

I called customer service as well and asked her if they were getting and shipment of Too Fab or the palette and she said she doesn't think so because they weren't expecting to get a restock of the glasses and they only received 80 of them so it will be sold out in minutes. HTH!
