I prob do a look inspired by Bough Gray and B&B e/s to prove to myself again that I don't need them, lol!

Awesome swatch, thank you for sharing

So happy I bought this colour! My counter sold out of this and Shell Pearl the first day btw!

Nop, amp creams are my fave finish from MAC. They apply smooth, pigmented and creamy....not drying on me at all. GAT and Blankety (both amp creams) were the two lipsticks that made me a MAC addict back in the day and I still love them both!

you look amazing! great job on the lips!

I debated on getting BL. Did try the nude and pinky coral glosses the other day...they are added to my birthday list!

Count me in the small camp of buying Summer Rose even though I have it from the first release. IMO they are two totally different products - if they didn't share a name, I would have no idea they were the "same thing". For me (NW20), it can totally be used as a blush. It's so smooth and pigmented that I swirled my 187 in it and had to tap off the excess before I applied. It's just lovely - make sure to take a look at it if you get the chance!! It's one of my favorite things from this collection!

I also love Bough Grey - I had no problems at all with payoff. I put the lightest color from the Photo Realism quad on my lid with BG in the crease and got two compliments last night.

I think the reason Shell Pearl is so popular is the texture - just buttery smooth goodness. I have to say that I prefer this to my MSF's (as far as texture). It gives a pretty glow to the face without being over the top glittery.

Same here! I love this color and used Cuddle shade stick as a primer. Great color payoff.

Gorgeous! I love the lippie on you! Sadly, I look horrible with lavender or purple colors on my lips. At least I can use them on my eyes! lol

Like most NY Times trend stories, though, this isn't actually true. This did happen in the early aughts slump (after 9/11).

But that has not happened in this most recent depression at all, so this is yet another marketing theory (it was coined by Estee Lauder) that doesn't actually hold water.

Lipstick sales actually fell quite a bit, according to the Wall Street Journal (http://blogs.wsj.com/runway/2008/10/...onomy-falters/). And I think that was also shown by how many F&F sales MAC had. I think MAC is just producing a lot less inventory.

MsWestchester - Blooming Lovely looks fab on you!! I think it is the finish of it, but I am really having a hard time getting it to look not so purple on me...? I might have to layer something pink under or over it. I'm not loving this one....

So, for my dear, Only1angel, here are some comparison shots of Strike a Pose and Birds & Berries on my hand (no base used underneath)...Strike a Pose is on the left, Birds & Berries on the right. The top swatch of each is lightly brushed on with a 242, the bottom swatch is packed on with the same brush. B&B flashes more teal than Strike a Pose...I think it is because of the finish. Starflashes are so soft, that when it is blended down, you really see the grey, whereas the VP finish of B&B really tends to keep the teal flash.
I imagine if you use the same color over Delft paint pot that they would look more similar, or even over a sticky base they would look more similar - these swatches are just on bare skin.
I don't wear this sort of color a lot, so I probably didn't need B&B, but it was so pretty sitting next to Bough Grey in the displayer, that I couldn't resist.

No that’s not sad, just creative thinking. A lot people don't like these birds but I think they are pretty.

We have a bird feeder (it doubles as a squirrel feeder as they’re in there as often) on a tree outside our bay window and these are in there quite often. When they're there when the sun is hitting it I just get mesmerized staring at how lovely the colors look all iridescent and swirly. I have totally thought the same thing and told my daughter “wouldn’t that be a great eye shadow color?”

I love all of goodies from this collection. And I think the packaging is just so pretty for the spring.

I also got Snob and Fashion Scoop. These were definitely surprise buys for me as I have said for years that I didn't think I could pull off a pale pink lip. My wonderful MUA friend Megan put these on me over Naked l/l and with a lilac smokey eye and it was a gorgeous look.

That sounds sooooo gorgeous lilac smokey eye

Fashion scoop is beautiful!!! It looks so lovely over naked LL

We've been like a bunch of drunks in a bar!
tipsy.gif
We're already drunk, then one of us says - Hey. how 'bout another round - & we all go, Yeah! I'll have another of this & another of that
lol.gif

Isn't it fun
sigh.gif

Safer than getting drunk in a bar together - but prolly not cheaper

Hi everyone! Can anyone who has swatched the collection help me out with some comparisons? I'm attempting to narrow down my list!

Bough Grey vs. The gold-grey shadow from the Sorceress palette (name escapes me now)

Ever Hip vs. Surprise Me

Dirty Plum vs. NARS Montenegro

Can anyone help?

Sorry, I guess i didnt make it clear. I purchased Give me liberty of london eyeshadow, the matte pink one. it's very chalky and I had a lot of problems using it. I ended up patting Ego on top!

I KNOW! I was bitching at my bf telling him I wanted to go to IMATS I got into mac while I was a student in Winnipeg a few years ago, and the items don't sell as quickly as long as you go as soon as they are released so i love it here!

I'll be in van april 20 and onwards as i didnt purchase my return flight yet. do you have msn? lol i think i made a best friend
lol.gif

Out there, but i went to watch Shutter Island which was very weird. on my way out of the public washroom I realized my sweater dress was flipped upwards and my vajayjay was hanging out for everyone to see. thank god I at least wore tights.

I'll PM you it. But I think I'll need to add you because I've been getting so many random people adding me on MSN lolz. Are you always on?

Shutter Island was intense. Lolz I watched it on the opening day and I loveeeeed it
lol.gif

Should I get the nail polish? The blue one I mean, I'm in need of a new polish, but I've heard crappy things about the MAC one.

OT but ladies in the tri state, stay home! These winds are crazy! I was on my way to walk to the MAC store when the wind almost blew my damn false lashes off!

I usually hate mac polish, but Blue India is fantastic. Get it.

I was going to go to Mac today, but the weather is outrageous. NJ weather is so vicious. I kinda love it.
