I didn't pay much attention to those two, because I don't wear those kinds of colors but I did glance at them. IMO both were darker than Rocking Chick and Malibu Barbie. RC and MB were lighter and more fuchsia pink. HN and SM looked to have more red in them, and both were definately more opaque than the Barbie shades. They both appeared to be blue based because I didn't see any orange in them. They are definately different enough from RC and MB to own if you like that color family

Yeah, I believe it should be available in stores on or around the 25 of this month. Btw..I was a sneak peek and its great. Very girly...kinda reminds me of what the girls From Sex and the City would wear if they were in there 20's in 2008. Its really cool....the textures...tones...colors.......if you like glitter...get ready..

This is VERY helpful information for us lovers of fuchsia!
Judging from the photos I've seen so far, "Hollywood Nights" looks disturbingly similar to "Impassioned," from MAC's regular lineup.
Are the two similar?

So that means that since the collection was set to be released on March 27th that it will be released on the 25th for purchasing online?....And the 20th for all counters as well as the free-standing store correct?

So I was in my favorite MAC pro store today in Beverly Hills. I finally got color matched for Studio Fix Fluid (LOVE this stuff) and I got a few more items. I had the most wonderful MUA helping me, his name was Gabriel. As I was paying for my goodies I asked him if they were doing anything special for the Heatherette launch and I immediately felt like I had said the secret magic words.

He informed me they were having a super duper launch party the night of March 20th with cocktails, live models and the Heatherette Duo themselves (Richie Rich and Traver Rains)!!!! And then he ASKED me if I wanted to come....UMMM.....HELL YEAH!!!

So he put me down for the event and gave me the pretty hot pink envelope with the paint by numbers Heatherette invitation inside. I'm so super duper excited.

This will be my first MAC launch event. Woo Hoo!!

Almost, it is being released at all stores (including pro) on March 20th, and online on March 18th

Well, the only pro store date I can vouch for is NY Pro store, which is releasing the same day as every other store and counter!

A very nice MA today let me play with the lipsticks from this collection. So i have my haul all planned out! I already have fleshpot, so i will be picking up Melrose Mood and Hollywood Nights! I'm so excited, I'm only starting to enter the world of brighter colour, so these will definitely be fun! I did feel though that Melrose Mood definitely needs some gloss on top, it looked gorgeous with Instant Gold lustre glass (i think i have this somewhere!) but I'll be picking up Bonus Beat. It just seemed to tone down the blueness to it and made it a bit more wearable! And though i haven't seen them in real life, i will also be picking up the pink e/s trio and the brownish beauty powder, can't recall the names! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I'm excited. Never been to one before. Guess I'll have to show my face after my makeover, hehe...

Ohio is where I was going to be for the original release! That's when I'm home on break, I was planning on going to the Nordstrom counter at Beachwood Place. An hour's drive versus a 10 minute max subway trip...I can't say I'm unhappy the release got bumped up.

In the swatch pictures that I've seen, HN looks kind of fruit punch pink--you know how Hawaiian punch is red-pink? Is that how it looks in real life?

That's actually a good description! It pretty much is that, a clear bright red-pink, but definitely pink! And the texture was really nice.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I got to see the collection for myself today at the counter since they were already taking pre-orders for it. OMG I just love the eye pencils and the e/s palettes! I thought the lipsticks and glosses were okay but not for me. Everything else was nice too and IMO the collection looks better when you see it in person.

Yeah, I live almost an hour away, but thankfully gas prices aren't yet so high that I spend more getting to and from the mall than I save with my Pro Discount. :/ At least not when I'm buying ~$100 worth of makeup . . .

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I've received the Heatherette collection very early and I did a review about most of the items on Youtube in English so most of you will understand what I'm saying!

My absolute must-haves are: both eye shadow trio's, both beautypowders, lipsticks Lollipop Loving & Hollywood Night, all the lipglasses and......the dual edge pencils which are just great! They are beautiful to use with the e/s trio's.

This is the link to the review:
