What Winthrop44 said. And if it's not on the site any more they'll pull stock from one of their counters and send it to you. I've received orders from a lot of their US stores before to fulfill an order I made online.

Yeah....I remember receiving a mascara, lipglass and es in BIG boxes before. So wasteful of them!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I tried Bonus Beat l/g over a sheer application of Hollywood Nights - gorgeous!!! Bonus Beat is like a soft focus over lipstick. It turned HN into the most beautiful pink. I'm sure it would work over any lippie.

Just tried BB l/g over Aloof (which is one of my all time FAVE lipsticks) so pretty & soft. its that champagne gold pearl in BB that looks incredible. Went & bought a backup...geesh

I guess it depends on just how much you love Mood Ring and if you have any spare cash. I personally wouldn't buy a palette just for one eyeshadow unless it was my most favourite colour ever! I actually really liked all 3 colours, so I got it and I love it. However, in Trio 2 I only liked the dark purple and I didn't feel it was worth it to buy the whole palette just for that colour. It's so hard to decide what to get from these collections though, isn't it?! I keep thinking I should go back for more

Um... that's what I did.

lol. I just couldn't pass it up, and since I wouldn't be getting a lot from this collection, I figured 'Why not?'. My hunt for De Menthe has gone cold so I might as well indulge myself with Mood Ring!

I'm sorry is it just me or is anyone else NOT feeling Heatherette? I went to the event and had 2 looks done Lollipop Lovin and Hollywood Nights and I wasn't back flipping like I thought I would be... Hollywood Nights lipstick was the only thing I really liked and everything else seemed already done... Anyone else feel this way? I really hope "Naughty Nauticals

It is not the colors of Heatherette I am so excited about (although they are not bad at all!!) - it is the hot pink packaging!! I would have taken nearly every color just to get the packaging

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I have to disagree with you guys that dislike this collection.

Lipsticks
The lipsticks are gorgeous. There's no real 'theme' to the lips in this collection, and what I mean by that is that there is a nice range of color and texture, most of which will compliment anyone. Lollipop Loving is a nice neutral coral with a subtle but noticeable enough green pearl. It's a glaze so it gives a gentle tint to the lips of coral and shimmer to the lip. Fleshpot is an awesome nude, comparable to Myth in color as well as finish. I would say Fleshpot is a little more light golden beige, whereas Myth is more of a peachy beige. It is a satin, so a little will go a long way. Using a brush it can give a soft nude lip by using just a bit, or applying directly will completely phase out the lips on fairer skins. I would definitely use a gloss with it though since it is a tad dry, being a satin and all. What's great about Fleshpot as well, is it's so light that almost any liner can work with it. Hollywood Nights is an awesome bright fuschia pink. It reminds me of Rocking Chick and Show Orchid, but it's somehow different. It doesn't have a pearl or anything, and it's a more or less flat fuschia satin. It's great for a 'look at me' type of lip, and also should be used with a gloss since it is a bit drying. Sheering it out with Strobe Blossom lip conditioner is beautiful too. And finally there is Melrose Mood, my personal favorite of the Heatherette lipsticks. The color is a beautiful light bubblegum pink, and is an Amplified Creme, my favorite type of finish. Amplifieds are so glossy and comfortable on their own. This color is gorgeous with or without a gloss or liner.

Lipglass
Bonus Beat is a nice pearly golden. Gives a warm shine to any lipstick. Sock Hop is a very pretty creamy coral. Not my favorite of the bunch, but it looks wonderful with Lollipop Loving, and over Fleshpot. Style Minx is gorgeous. Alone it gives this beautiful fuschia tint to the lips and over Hollywood Nights, it is to die for. I'm not usually into strong lips, but Style Minx is a very wearable hot pink lipglass. Starlet Kiss is of course, my favorite. It's this pretty baby pink with a subtle metallic frost to it. So pretty over Melrose Mood. My friend said it was comparable to Fafi's Sugar Trance, but I swatched them and Starlet Kiss has a slightly more mauve undertone to it I'd say, as well as a subtle frost as opposed to Sugar's shimmery pearl.

Eyeshadows
I really love the trios! I got both. Trio 1 has Hoppin', Moodring, and Cloudburst. Hoppin' is a creamy frosted peach (frost) (fantastic of highlighting) and Moodring is a shimmery mint (veluxe pearl). Both are new. Cloudburst is also repromoted, originally being from Blue Storm (fall 2007), which is black with blue and green sparkles (velvet). All three colors are pigmented and beautiful, and come in a metallic pink compact with mirror. Only thing missing is a brush, which doesn't affect me since I have SOO many. I am really excited to use these colors and do FOTDs with it. I tried Moodring over Otherworldy Paint Pot (from McQueen, summer 2007) and it is beautiful! It makes a gorgeous creamy mint.
Trio 2 consists of three new colors, Baby Petals, a pastel pink frost, V.I.P., a metallic frosty pink with silver pearl (velvet), and Cassette, a deep eggplant with bluey-purple pearl (veluxe pearl). V.I.P. looks like Pink Venus at first glance, but I found out that it's a much prettier and better pigmented color. And I am very fond of Cassette. It makes me think of if Contrast (a color I dislike) and Fertile (a color I love from Strange Hybrid, spring 2007) had a lovechild. It's beautiful. I really want to try it over Nice Vice paint pot, but alas that product is sold out everywhere. Three awesome colors though. What I was really hoping for though was a brighter pink more along the lines of the packaging. A metallic hot hot pink. Like a Veluxe Pearl version of Passionate or something. Oh well though!

I love how the trios are easier to work with than almost a quad. Three is easy to use. One highlight, one lid, and one crease color. It's very customer friendly, and I love how there's a mirror included. Much prefered over Fafi. Fafi had weird textures, surprisingly subtle pigmentation, and awkward packaging. These Heatherette trios are winners in my book.

Eye Pencils
I haven't used the pencils yet, but I'm definitely going to try them all out tomorrow. They seem really nice. I briefly tested them before, but I haven't had time to really work with them so I'm still iffy on them. The Black Funk and Pop Blue are soooo gorgeous though!

Glitters
I love the reflects glitters. Reflects Gold is a beautiful transluscent microglitter that when hit with light reflects a golden sparkle. I actually got this product in the Warm Pigments and Glitter set this past holiday season (Antiquitease: Curiousitease, Winter 2007) and it is great under the eyes to reflect light as well as mixed with clear lipglass. The other glitter in this collection is 3D Silver a chunky silver with rainbow reflect. I'm really glad they included this one. The chunkyness is so like... I don't know. Club-Kid like. I wouldn't say that it's wearable for everyday, but it's so unique and cool. I wish though, that Reflects Coral and Crystalled Pink were included. They would have totally gone with the hot pink packaging.

Pigment
Jardin Aires, a repromote from Strange Hybrid, and Pink Pearl. I think that if they wanted a light cream color, they could have chosen something better than Jardin Aires. It is a light cream with silvery glitter, but I think that Vanilla, or Your Ladyship should have been repromoted, from Antiquitease (Winter 2007), which is much prettier... I dunno. Pink Pearl is a new pigment, and is a frosty medium pink with blue intense blue pearl. It goes on very sheer at first, but can be packed to add more intensity. I think I'm going to experiment with it and layer a little over blush. I think it'd give a nice highlight if a light hand is used.

Nail Lacquer
I'm not a fan of either color really. But I'm sure there are lots of people that it is suited for. Both are very pretty but they are not my personal style.

Beauty Powder
I love these! First off, the packaging is beautiful. I love how it's a glossy cream Pepto-Bismol pink color! We have Alpha Girl, a peachy pink with a slight pearl finish. Very natural. Smooth Harmony is beautiful too. On me it gives more of a sunkissed cheek. Both are gorgeous with a bit of Mineralize Skinfinish layered over for a highlight. I would have loved to have seen more Beauty Powders like the Barbie Loves MAC (Spring 2007) ones with the intense pearl finish, but it's lovely to get back to the more natural finished powders like Raquel and Catherine had in their Icon Collections (2007, and 2006 respectively). I would have liked to see a darker one though because I'm not sure how they'd work on deeper skintones.

And finally, the Lashes, She's Good, and She's Bad. I haven't seen them on anyone yet, but I am very interested to see how they look on. I'm sort of afraid of them because I'm a big fan of matte lashes, and usually dislike the vinyl plastic finish. But these could turn out interesting.

Just my two cents on the entire collection! It sorta turned into a rant, but I hope everyone loves my input. =P Hopefully I've inspired some to go look at the collection or at least take a second peak!

Oh, & I loved how you described trio 2 - I feel the same way you did about the colors. That eggplant (Cassette) looked stunning smokey when i put it on.

I personally LOVED Heatherette. Totally beat Fafi out of the water. I really wish I had held back more on Fafi now. But in a way I did hold back on Fafi way more than Heatherette.

But I wish I didn't buy Fafi Eyes 2 now. Meh, the packaging just sucked me right in. And I think I just might sell it used for $20 or something, I could care less losing some money on it.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

To start off... THE Packaging was SO hot and well made.

Lollipop Loving: Such a unique color. It's not really coral, but a wearable warm peach with green pearl, that is really subtle. It really lights up your face, much like the palatial lustreglass did, it makes me miss that color all that much more. At least i have LL to keep me happy for awhile longer while I miss Palatial. It really gives a slight green iridescence that makes your lips that much poutier, it's really subtle, but noticeable. I can see anyone wearing this color. It's that pretty and flattering.

Sock Hop: I love this lipglass, so pigmented and creamy. It's gorgeous over Lollipop Loving, it doesn't overwhelm the green pearl or hide it either, it enhances it and is super glossy and pretty. I love it too.

Hollywood Nights: Satin and fuchsia, what more could you want? It's gorgeous, it's kinda matte in a way, very Hollywood Glam I would say. It's gorgeous. It's very creamy, a little drying, but balm or gloss over will fix that. So smooth and pigmented, I love it too!

Style Minx: Another great hit. It's a gorgeous fuchsia, I love it even more than Totally It or Love Rules from A Mei. This gloss, is just.. so glossy and pigmented, it's a pretty punch color and it really really works well with Hollywood Nights, it's just gorgeous. It is just all about the lips with this collection.

Melrose Mood: Beautiful color. You might have to work with it a little if you're not fair skinned, fair skinned ladies or guys can use it straight out of the tube, or so I've noticed. I have to use it over Soar lipliner. The MUA gave me a tip of lining the outer edge of the lips with Soar, the fill in the rest of the lips. Then brush on Melrose Mood, with a brush. Start from the inside of your lips, then work your way out and blend it out, so it's a gradient at the edge of your lips. So your lips go from dark to light in the middle. Then if you need more blending, take Soar again and shade from outside to inside and blend it. It's a gorgeous look for the tanner ladies out there like me! Great MUA, and I can't wait to try what she did on me.

Starlet Kiss: I love this gloss so much. Another pigmented winner! So creamy and shimmery and perfect over Melrose Mood. It's light pink, but I think anyone can pull this one off as well. Alone or over a lipstick, this is a BEAUTIFUL color.

Alpha Girl: A natural glow that's not TOO metallic like the MSFs can be. I really like it, it makes me healthy looking.
smiles.gif

Fab Orchid/Dash Lily: A lot of people say these pencils smear off. I didn't buy this color with the intention of wearing it on my upper lids. With my oily Asian eyelids, that spells disaster. I would use it on the bottom eyelids to bring out my smaller Asian eyes. I do this a lot with bright eyeliners. Use the lighters glittery side on the inner half of your eyes, then blend out with the darker end on the outer half of the eyes. I find that would be the best use for them.
smiles.gif
More of an accent than an eyeliner to me.

Trio 1: I love Mood Ring. These eyeshadows are easier to use than the Fafi ones in my opinion. I wish I had just gotten the Heatherette ones. Cloud Burst is really pretty as well. The peach I could probably live without, but it really completes the set I think.

Trio 2: I never thought I could use pinks, but this trio convinced me otherwise. The pink is BEAUTIFUL. And I love purples. So this trio is a winner as well. Very smooth, pigmented and blendable, I adore these trios so much and I think I don't have to buy single colors of pink and purple while I still have these colors and that is a GOOD thing.

And there's my rave for Heatherette.
smiles.gif

I wish I had picked up the glitters and pigments in a way.. but they're PRO colors mostly, so I can hold back. Shoot, I dropped $200+ on this collection alone already.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I finally got my Heatherette fix yesterday! But it's weird, the stuff I thought I was going to like from photos, I didn't like in person. I thought I was going to go lip color crazy, but none of them looked good on me. Did anyone else have a problem with the lip colors? Maybe it's just me. They seemed kinda... thick...I don't know if that's the way to describe it. They only looked good if I put a little bit and blended it around. They looked so nice on you guys....am I missing something?

Ohhhh, and also....I'm in LOVE with my she's bad lashes. But I was wondering if you'd suggest a dramatic eye look for dramatic lashes or a simple eye look to showcase them? I want to wear these NOW...they're so fierce.

Thanks in advance, you guys pretty much ROCK.

I bought Hollywood Nights since I don't have a fushia pink lipstick.

None of the other stuff really excited me, but I might go back for Melrose Mood lipstick since it's so unique.

I already bought Trio 2, Style Minx, Hollywood Nights, Starlet Kiss and Lollipop Loving, lol at this rate I might as well get the rest of the collection
