Yep! Honestly, I think Cassette sucks, but I'll have to wear it again to be sure. I'm not one to complain about blending because it's the one thing I've always been able to do. But, Cassette is not an easily blendable color, IMO.

I normally have zero issues blending, but this one came out streaky. I used stilife underneath.. I tried again with a paint pot and got the same result.

A MA suggested using Mood Ring under Cloudburst to help the shadow blend b/c it'll "move" across the bottom layer of shadow better than directly over a primer or paint. She also said to layer it gently over the area you want so there isn't just one splotch you're trying to blend out. Perhaps the same idea can apply to making Cassette work? HTH!

That sounds like a good idea. Actually, I should have been more clear.. I had the paint on, then a layer of Baby Petals then the Cassette over that. I'm not sure if its "me" or what, but I've noticed a few colors recently that don't "blend" well...

I wasn't really a fan of it however I can see why a lot of people would like it. I'm more of a Hollywood Nights girl and I did like Lollipop Lovin, esp. with Style Minx on top of it.

Its such a different pink than anything else. It is really, really pretty but needs to be applied differently than just caking it on from the tube. It is so pretty with a light coat & really any lipgloss over top makes it stunning.

Really? I never thought of trying Style Minx over Lollipop Lovin, sounds interesting and fun. Thanks

Its funny to me that the "worst" lipsticks are the ones that sold out first. I'm tempted to get the Alpha girl but I think I better save my money for May.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I passed on Alpha Girl the first time around because I bought the BPB, but then I heard how most loved AG. I kept looking & looking at it & it finally got me when it went up on the site again

I tried to resist

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I returned the nighthawk/front row pencil (smudged too damn much) and the smooth harmony bp (was like putting air on my face...made absolutely no difference)

I have been experimenting with the lips still. I have found that Lure lipliner does look great with lollipop loving (thanks to whomever suggested it, I think it was SMMY). This is what i do: Lure lipliner, and prep+prime lip, then lollipop loving lipstick. Then I apply some sock hop lipglass, then lollipop loving again. Its the only way to actually get some of the green to show up on me.

I did this one last night: Creme 'O Spice lipliner, fleshpot lipstick, mousse slimshine and bonus beat lipglass. It gave just a bit of color to the lips instead of all nude.

My opinion on Melrose Mood....I didn't buy it because I knew I'd have to tone it down and make it "work" and I figured that by the time I made it work and toned it down to the right color it would look like 3N lipstick on me. (i know they are very different, but 3n is milky pink on me and its bright enough on my NC42/C4 skin) This isn't really meant to help anyone, lmao...because i don't even have MM....just my opinion.

Sometimes I regret buying all these pink lipsticks and glosses, because I would always rather have a nude/brown lip on.
