No Fun AT ALL!!  I really do understand!  As mush as I travel, my makeup bag is the one thing I ALWAYS over-pack...  I don't use 1/2 the things I bring, but, like you said, as a makeup addict myself... you want to have extras "just in case of this" or "what if I decide to try this look instead"... and on and on.  I think there's hope you'll get your bag!  Make sure you let us know!  Sending good vibes your way hun!

I wore Star Wonder for the first time today and I love it on, such a pretty shade! I also wore MA e/s and it is just gorgeous, got so many compliments on it. I wore it over Nubile pp and a layer of Stila Kitten e/s.

JUST READ THE UPDATE BUT sending this anyway.

A couple of tips from a former airline employee (back in the day when flying was fun - some rules have changed).
The biggest one is take a big purse with you where you can put your important makeup, medicines, ID, cables, etc. like the other poster said. This will double as a carry-on, but it's your "purse". Then you will still have your real carry on for your shoes, a change of (undies, etc.) a clean shirt, in case your checked luggage is lost. Always wear comfy shoes when flying, not heels. You will be more comfortable if your feet swell, and for another reason - if you have to evacuate, you must remove your shoes anyway to go down the slide.
As the other poster said, never check in anything that you can't afford to lose. And I never check in really nice luggage, either - sometimes thieves look at that and assume you have nice things inside. And always put your work address on the tag, never the home address.
That being said, of all the travels I did worldwide, I never lost luggage and only once had my suitcase broken into, and they only took a silk skirt, if you can believe that.

SO GLAD they found your bag! Whoopee!

OOO! OOO! Now I get to play with my new Clarisonic! (And yes, I know to only use it once a day and not press hard, etc). Can't WAIT! :yaay:
So glad your luggage has been found! I couldn't stand the thought of some thief using your Clarisonic and dressing up in all your makeup! I would have been checking all the airport people everytine I traveled for anyone with good skin and SLV lipstick on and thinking they were your goody-stealer!

That is an excellent tip there. Never thought to do that.

Great tips - thanks! I follow most of them, but I did have a normal sized purse with me. If I carried a bigger one then I'd have plenty of room for more makeup.

I always wear flats and label my luggage with a business card. I used to do a lot of business travelling and I've had delayed luggage a number of times. I've never had the luggage completely lost or had anything stolen from a bag. *Fingers crossed*

YAY! Which brush head did you get? Is it the deep pore one? If so, LMK how it is! I'm currently using the sensitive one (which came w/ my MIA 2) and will need to buy a replacement soon.

Just catching up on posts and I'm SO HAPPY that they were able to locate your stuff! I know what's like to lose important things (a few years ago, someone broke in the trunk of our car while we were at the grocery store during a road trip in SF and STOLE two of our of bags. My friend lost his DSLR and lenses and I lost my backpack, which had MY MAKEUP - yes I overpacked for a weekend away- !!!, laptop, point & shoot, and iPod. Thankfully I'm OCD and kept receipts for ALL of my missing items. Lesson learned - Renter's a/o Traveler's insurance is worth it). Luckily when I travel with my BF, he doesn't pack a lot of things on his carry on and I can cram more of my important things in his bag

Ugh - that's terrible. My brother parked his car in a hotel unloading spot (right in front of the entrance) a few years ago and in the five minutes he was inside, someone broke into the trunk and stole his computer AND clothing. Talk about brazen.

The kit came with both the sensitive head and the deep pore one, as well as some Boscia products. I haven't tried either yet. Which one should I start with? The sensitive? I have combination skin in the winter and flat out oily skin in the summer. It's sensitive though and I do have reactive redness; just putting blush on makes my cheeks go red. I always have to wait a few minutes to see what my blush actually looks like before deciding if I need more.

I do have enlarged pores on my nose, forehead and cheeks beside my nose from 30 years of oily skin. The woman at Sephora suggested that I start out with the sensitive no more than once a day and see how it goes and using the deep pore only a couple of times a week. It doesn't feel any rougher though; it's quite soft. Most of the reviews seem to indicate that people just replace the sensitive with deep pore and like it better (those with skin like mine). Has anyone tried both heads?

I hemmed and hawed about buying the Mia2 for months; the reviews are really barbelled. People either love it or hate it.

Thanks! I got a call from the delivery company to say they'd be dropping it off between 9:00 and 11:00. Sheesh. My hubby suggested that we just go get it from the airport; now I'm sorry that we didn't. We have a houseful of teens over though and while they're good kids, I always make sure I'm home when there's a party of any size going on. Nobody's having too much fun on my watch. ;)

Hi there!
I have the Mia 2. I got mine from QVC. It is zebra but PURPLE! (like the one below)

b7072ac9b5f7c2c46b13061e315dca1a_best.jpg

Anyways, i have had mine for abt a year nd a half. I have all of the heads you mentioned. I suggest using the deep cleaning brush ONCE a week, preferably a night. Use the sensitive head on other days. At first i was using my clarisonic once a day, i soon discovered it was too much for my face. Now i only use it 3x a week (mon, wedn, friday) and ONLY at night. The other days ( and mornings) I wash my face lightly with only my hands. I also wanna throw in there i use Juice Beauty (all organic face products) which have been great to my skin. Also when I was breaking out from using it daily, I actually went to see my derm and she told me that daily was too abrasive even with the sensitive head. I switched to 3x a week I have not broken out since, and that was MONTHS ago. Good Luck

-By the way, the clarisonic takes off MAC makeup like a charm

I actually have the same purple zebra MIA 2 from QVC! LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I've only tried the sensitive head and completely forgot that I had a deep pore cleansing one. Must rummage through my box of unused products for it.

I use the sensitive head every day (in the morning) and have not had any problems with it. I never went through the purging/breaking out period with it and always wondered if I should bump up to a normal brush head. I'll try the deep pore cleansing one this week but will probably limit using it to once or twice a week.

I'm planning on using it at night to get rid of makeup; with serum, moisturizer, primer, tinted moisturizer/foundation and then makeup, I always think that I'm probably leaving some on. I wash my face with my hands right now. I use Clinique foaming face cleanser to remove the makeup and then do a second wash with the liquid mild facial soap. And even then, I usually pick up traces of leftover makeup with my toner.

Maybe I'll start with every second night. My skin is oily but I'm in my 40s, so it's more sensitive than it was in my teens. If my skin is ok with that, I'll try working my way up to daily. I can't imagine needing to use it twice a day though; my skin isn't exposed to makeup or regular city grime overnight.

I don't break out much anymore; I sometimes get one pimple a month on my chin, but when it's getting near that time I've started switching to my teens' Clinique acne toner on my nose and chin and I seem to be dodging it.

I don't think this will change my life or anything; I just want to get my skin really clean and if it does help my pores to shrink even a smidge, I'll be thrilled.

Im nc15 and solar ray shows up fairly similar to light year on my cheek. The difference being light year is more pink witha satin sheen and more pigment, whereas solar ray is shimmery and shiny. Starwonder is quite beautiful so i cant really talk you out of it haha.
