That is a good question, Susanne. If the quality is the same as the 2008 holiday sets, then I will pass. If they bring up the quality, I will consider it, but at this point I have all the brushes I need, including for travel.
MAC will have to WOW me.

I don't understand the whole crescent MES thing. So they're duos but the eyeshadow halves aren't symmetrical??
But the promo picture is really pretty though

these crescents, don't they sound like the awful glitter zipper from last year? it jumped to mind considering many have the same crescent.
if yes, ill pass prob on all, though perhaps the pigment minis.

If im reading the color info right, Phiff d/g is supposed to be "Yellow pink with red and sapphire pearl"?? wha? mine has nothing that even remotely resembles red or sapphire pearls, all i see is gold and silver. weird. maybe im just being nitpicky

wow i wonder if the label on the dazzleglasses from allcosmeticswholesale are wrong. the color info for Jingle Jangle (sheer yellow peach) sounds wayyy more like the d/g i got...

I was thinking the same thing. Oh no, not the glitter zippers! Which are now apparently glitter crescents.
That being said, I do love my Word of Mouth MES from Red She Said, copper glitter zipper and all.

I don't know why I am so blah about a lot of the upcoming MAC collections.
So far only a few things are peaking my interest:
Boy Bait Cremesheen Glass (I won't miss out on this again!)
Utter Fun Lipstick
Blue Sorcery MES (can't wait to see the bright turquoise side used wet!
)
Lucky Number Nail Lacquer
I (like some of the rest of you have said) miss the regular old MAC eye shadows in Holiday collections. I am starting to get kinda sick of MES.

So as I'm reading the color collection info(who isn't) I see that only Under Your Spell MES has the copper crescent and all the others have a silver or gold crescent, shouldn't it be 2 of each metallic color? hmmm, well everything else sounds interesting

I am not excited about the MES. I will wait for more swatches. Just a thought, I feel that MES are very popular in my country although I am not a big fan of them. They always receive a lot of attention when they are launched and sell out very quickly.
The packaging of the palettes are very different from the past two years'. I need more pics because at the moment, the silver/metal top looks quite cold to me. If I like the packaging, I may get:

I think you may be right about the labels, my Phiff sounds significantly more like Jingle Jangle in this description.
Oh well, whatever colors they end up being...I like them both!!

glad to know i wasnt imagining it at least! hmm maybe ACW had prototypes, and we ended up with test products or something instead of the final product described in the color story.
