MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion

A blush for me, the Plum one (if not glittery) and maybe an eyeshadow... maybe.

I just hope that the Mischief Makers (part 2) will blow me away cause right now... this one is not appealing to me like others Holiday collections did.

ok i really dont like the packaging of the palettes (sorry 4 the ppl that do) but its funny cuz when i saw the pics on temptalia i was like ew and i was like wait they look like something that i seen before

and i finally got it, they look like these palettes that hard candy use to have

Eh, I'm passing this collection except for Boy Bait.

I'm over the MES thing too.
And I don't need another coral blush, hahah, I know I love them, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

i also wish there were normal blushers rather than mineral one - i like the mineral ones but they're so pricey!

This is the MES I want, too! I guess I will get Conjure Up blush, I really like the colour description.

I passed the MES and blushes with Grand Duos and Colour Craft - so these two will be my mineralized e/s and blush haul in 2009

I agree, I am over mineralized things. But I look really forward to the palettes!!

The most amazing thing is that a) the collection launches in Germany in November- and b) my birthday is on november 2nd! <3

So far I like...

Pervette Soft bright pink with violet opalescent shimmer (Glaze) (Permanent) lipstick - if it's fitting me...
No dazzleglasses, because I have to check out the d/g cremes first. Same for the cremesheen, but ...maybe:
Boy Bait Light neutral beige with pearl (Limited Edition) (Repromote) - since everyone's crazy about it?

I have to see this in person.

Judging by the promo pics and the descriptions this is very underwhelming especially given the past three years of Holiday were pretty appealing to me.

We're drowning in minerals lately, gah. I'm getting my MES fix with Style Black, and really that's all I need/want.

I'm so sick of MB's and MES...they can keep doing MSF's though!

The packaging neither wows me or totally turns me off, but I had really hoped for something a little more "magical" with this collection. Oh well.

After Stark Naked BPB in last year's Red She Said collection, the blushes here are a letdown for me. Stark Naked is one of the best ever, IMHO. Amazing.

True that. I thought MAC would take the theme "Magic, Mirth, Mischief" and run with it. Seriously...so many fun, fantastical ideas for the packaging, I thought for sure it was going to rock my socks off. It doesn't seem they really tried that hard to be honest. The palettes are cute maybe, but they look cold, sterile, and very minimalistic...err..something like that
