Since I am a sucker for "get it now before it's gone!", I went and got Plink! the other day. It's a pretty shade, not too in-your-face in any way, just easy to throw on any day of the week.

I agree that Pretty Please is nothing alike, PP is pink while Plink! is coralish. The only thing they have in common really is the formula and sheerness. (I keep swatching PP, have to get that one as well.)

So glad you found one

It is one of my everyday lip colors cause I find it goes with so much. I love Pretty Please too, but for different reasons. They are really different on me as well.

I don't understand it at all either. On the way home I decided it must be so that they can bring it back as LE with a different name!

That must be it. Or maybe they will realize the error of their ways, and keep it permanent, AFTER that create the frenzy of "OMG it's being discontinued."

Maybe when all of a sudden, they see a spike in sales, a lightbulb will go on somewhere.

Note to self: Swatch Plink when next at MAC.

I don't really mind them DCing the CCBs. I have one and I think I've swatched it more times than actually USED it. I think I have Pearl. I does make a pretty cheek highlight though.

Our lovely Erin has confirmed Vanilla pigment won't be dc'ed - and even better - it will become perm at counters!

I won't miss CCBs...I never used the one I got (Shell I think) because it creases and made me look oily. I WILL miss Lipgelees though...

Dear MAC,

I can't believe you are discontinuing Moisturecover!! It is sooo perfect for us seasoned ladies. Seriously, even though some of the other concealers might cover better, it's not going to mean squat if your under eye area looks like paper mache!

I do not want this to go down when I break the news!

I should send my angry mob of customers to your HQ!

And I think to make up for discontinuing Lip Gelees, you should just go ahead and make Dazzleglass CREME permanent!

Aaaaaand...Plink? Really? A lot of people reach for it! That touch of warmth it has makes it work for so many people! aaaaargh!

End rant.

I thought Plink was a popular color. It was one of my first few, but I could never finish it.. ;/ not the best on me, but a lovely shade for most.

It seems especially strange to me that Plink! is disappearing this spring, when shades from the same color family seem to be all the rage.

I bought plink! yesterday due to all of the raves on here. I really like it and am so sad that it will be gone. I still can't get over slimshines being gone. That still makes me so mad!

swatched pretty please today & the mua gave me the "stop going on live chat" side-eye. i didn't have time to try it on but we're hopeful that politely pink will be a closer match. the journey continues...

i don't understand how ccb's are being discontinued, i wonder if they were ever properly promoted. i love pearl, i use it as a highlight and under blush, good stuff.
