I think they'd only axe Blushcreams if they had another cream blush coming out pretty soon after, since most lines do a cream blush and it wouldn't make sense to let competitors take that market

I love the new jars and Erin said that she was filling and old jar with pigment from a new one and it filled it up! so we haven't lost much product, but it would have been nice had they dropped the price down.

You love the new jars?

OK. I guess to each its own. The first one I got was from MAC website all spilt!

It is not just about the price. They are also harder to use and not as steady to me. And yes, wish the price followed with the quantity of pigment in the jars!

I hope that MAC won't discontinue pigments and other products without putting them in the Gone section. It seems to have happened before and is so very annoying! No time to get a back up!
I believe that the gone section is mostly for LE collection going to be discontinued. Not sure though. Pink Opal and Plink aren't/didn't get one there...

I know what you mean! I refuse to pay so much anymore and receive again or maybe a spilled little ugly jar.
I will wait for them to be at the CCO if I actually buy some there and I am a MAC pigment junkie since I must have all of them and back up in old jars except the new last 3 ones! I am on a new pigment jar buy strike!

I would have prefered if MAC kept the old packaging and raised the price of $1 maybe.
Anyhow, I will miss Pink Opal too if it disapears. So versatile!
Maybe that it will be come back in LE collections as they always do?

Same here...I only get 5 1/2 tsp samples from a jar now, I do give big samples but still. I just emptied MAC's new pigment "naked dark" and that was it, not even enough to cover my cost, shipping and supplies.

Serously, shall we send a petition that we would all signed or something like that to MAC? We have a lot of unhappy people. Maybe that they would listen such as when they repromote some rare discontinued items?

Someone mentioned that when pouring the new style jar into the old it pretty much filled it. I make my own line of loose mineral shadows and when I mix 2 ounces together and pour them into a 4 ounze jar it fills it to the top. Thats because the powder expands until it "settles" again which could be why your friends jar appeared "full". The texture of a product has a lot to do with it also.

I bought 2 moisturecover concealers to stock up when I heard they will be gone. I love it as an under eye concealer, I really hope they will come up with something even better.

Usually I'm not too worried when they discontinue stuff but this one was bad.

Oh and one of the MAs in London Pro store told me that Teal pigment is being discontinued. Has anybody else heard about this?

I think the prolongwear concealer that is coming out is a liquid like moisturecover. Maybe that will have a very similar texture.

It's a rather unremarkable color, and so sheer.
It might work on me as a facial highlighter, if I used that kind of thing, but I don't.
I wish I could convince myself that MAC is discontinuing these products to make room to make some really strong LE products (Trimmed in Pink lip pencil, for example) permanent.
That seems too good to be true, though ...

I have pink opal and vanilla and I barely use vanilla. I use pink opal more than most of my pigments - it's so felixble.

I'm so sad to see this and Plink! go, and in Australia High Tea...
We better be getting some seriously awesome products to replace all favorites that are being snatched away from us!!

I noticed on the PRO site earlier that there are a few products with the black triangle of doom. I'm particularly sad because Strada blush was one of them. That's a personal favourite of mine as a lighter contour, especially worn with a highlighter.

A while back, my MUA at the store told me that Azalea was being discontinued, but I don't see any evidence of that.

Anyway, some of the other PRO colours marked for discontinuation are:

Burnt Orange e/s
Red Brick e/s (seems silly, since they just made it permanent)
Coral e/s
Flourishing e/s
Blue Calm e/s

Blushes:

Dirty Plum
Full Fuchsia
Notable
Strada
(The first two look like they'll still be available in palette form)

Jest l/s (that's been there for a while)

The funny thing is the gals at the sales desk dont even know. I ask whenever I call MP about certain colors and they say it doesnt show them as being dcd in their computer.

It would be great knowing someone on the inside that handled that area and could confirm for us. You'd think there would be someone out there...I know many MP & MC employee's visit this site.
