MAC - Love that Look Discussion

I stopped at Macy's after work & picked up:
Smoke & Diamonds- I cannot believe I skipped this last year. What was I thinking!
Ego- lighter than I expected but still very pretty
Style Snob- beautiful everyday color
Fashion Groupie- I love purples with pink tones
One Off- I don't wear much green, but it was so lovely I couldn't resist.

I had also considered Unbasic White, but when i swatched it, it seemed TOO white & stark looking so I passed. I'm sure I'll regret it later. It's one of those things that if it makes it to a CCO, I'll get it then.

Now I can relax until Make up Art...

OMG I am the biggest dork, I went into MAC when I saw they had the shadows out. I swatched all the new ones just to be sure they were as wonderful as I thought they would be and then when the M.A. asked me if she could get me anything I handed her my list of the Nine Shadows I wanted. And I got 2 tinted moisturizers from the Baby Blooms (b/c I love the feel and want to wear it in winter after my tan fades too for day-to-day) .

I was grinning like an IDIOT walking out of there. And then I dropped some bucks at sephora. I've decided that I like Hypnose from the sample size I had before and so thats my new Mascara of choice once I run out of the current one I'm using.

And I dropped money at Lush too and the girl who helped me was stoked about the starflash MAC shadows too she was like "Is it okay if I look" and of course I said yes and she was looking through the clear part of the bag at them.

So yeah going back to the mall, was totally worth it. My credit is crying but me, I had a good shopping high today. Yes! Now ... just to try and PACK all of this. !!


P.S. The shadows just Appeared on the Canadian Site for me, they weren't there when I checked at 4:00.

I like lush, but I can't stand going into the store. I get an instant migraine from all the scents, ugh.

Yeah I was having a good day so I could take it. The products are great and I love the philosophy but its not a place you can hang out and browse really if you have a sensitive nose. I definately wouldn't go in there on a day where anything was bugging me. The Scents are definately very overpowering but I really do love that there aren't 50 million layers of plastic packaging everything. It does leave me with delemas on how to transport the fragile stuff but hey. I'll figure it out somehow.

Tell me how to use this without looking like I played with white-out. My brother said something a few years ago to me like "you'd look better without that white stuff on your eyes" so now I'm paranoid I look wierd with white e/s. But then again I always tell him he needs to find him an Amish girl cause they don't wear makeup and wear their hair long and plain (I use this only as a desription, not a negative about them)

I called this morning to see if my store had them out and they did. As I'm fixing to walk into the store one of the m/a sees me and just points to the e/s. They know me too well. I was in such a hurry I didn't play any. I didn't know you could only B2M four at a time. I thought I had heard people doing six or more. But I'm gonna go back in a day or two.

I got One-Off, Strike A Pose, Fashion Groupie, & Rated R.

I'll probably B2M for Ego & Style Snob (don't know if I'd get em if not for B2M)
& maybe Unbasic White if I get the nerve.

I also want to B2M for Eclectic Edge l/g.

Temptalia said Strike A Pose was like Deep Truth... but I don't think so... what do u guys think? I tried swatching it with deep truth at the store but the store didn't have it for some reason lol

Augh! After seeing Temptalia's swatches I want almost all of the eyeshadows but I am absolutely broke and can't afford to buy anything until September when I go back to work.

I'm tempted to just get the ones I want anyway and let my credit card suffer the consequences until the school year starts. I don't want things to sell out.

That's the sucky thing about working for a school, isn't it? I won't have money till September, either. Stupid school... And I don't honestly know it I'm going to HAVE a job because I've heard they probably won't be using Subs (which is what I am, not teaching btw) much this year

I think its not even remotely close to Deep Truth. Deep Truth is much deeper and more navy blue where Strike a Pose is more of a softer blue-gray IMO.

The name really says it all..It is not a Basic White it is more of a off white...it looked so great my MA said it is the better shroom for people who can't really wear that color...she had it on and it looked so good...she was wearing it with Saddle in the crease, Arena and black liner only...I almost died it was so pretty...Please let me get a goody bag

I agree it is nothing similar .. no royal or navy blue hue at all ...
