ok, quick question for someone who has either seen the collection or just has a better eye for matching skin colors, and I've never used the mystery powder before...it sounds lovely!!

I want to order a mystery powder but because they are $50, I only want to get one. I'm NW30 and was thinking about either the Medium Plus or Dark Secret. I thought the dark secret would work as a contouring powder or if I get tan enough it might work for a face powder in the summer. but....the medium plus looks to warm/yellow toned for my skin. I'm sort of at a loss...help?

Oh, and the glosses look so fun. I can't wait to place my order.

I forgot to mention... I hate hate hate the packaging this year. Too gold and too shiny.

However, the lipsticks are really nice, not like a Frost at all, definitely not as thick and creamy. These lipsticks are more like Lustres, IMO.

Although I can't wait for Chill and Dame Edna on January 3rd here I am really looking forward to get my Monogram Powder and lipglass!!

Out of the three, I think I would definitely go for the middle color. The Dark Secret color is, I think, pretty dark. (i.e. for black girls)

The middle shade does look kind of NC, though, so I dunno. You might be SOL on colors this year.

Yea, it normally takes a week or so for the discount to kick in...I remember I picked up some lippies, and they suggested I put them on hold until the discount kicks in.

The collection is in stores today. Even though the mall is closed today and tomorrow is Black Friday. I'm not too excited about it since I've never been to Black Friday.

every since i was a kid ive been scared becouse they run over people and snatch stuff out your hand i went one time in 1989 with my mom and it was scary

even tho im 28 now i still dont dont shop on black friday .

i saw the collection yesterday since i needed to pick up something and they really didn't do anything for me.
same powders ... plain lipglosses and lipsticks and the packaging is goldy-bronze but looks plastic-y.

thats what i wanted to know

becouse i can only shop online now becouse the mall is to far away and i didnt want to waiste time ordering and retuning it .

what do you mean when the employees get to use theirs? please explain. I have a PRO card and wanted to get the brushes and fragrance set but would rather buy it with a discount and im having the same issue with the N/A popping up when adding to my cart. thanks!

Mystery Powder comes with 1 refill.

am i reading that right? so you get 2 powders?

50$ would make more sense if thats the case.

Hey chicas. Well I just returned from checking these out at the mall. My Nordies didn't get them in and the MAC store only got part of the collection for some reason.
I think the packaging is much prettier in real life than in public and the lippies are gorgeous on my NC45 skin. I only brought 'Flourish' home with me but I also ordered Status Symbol L/S, Posh Life L/G and Old English powder. HTHs those who are still trying to decide.
