I think you really need a gloss over it to make the color work for you, but I'm not a fan of doing that because if I want another color, I would have just found that color instead!

I tried on Sunsonic at the store and hated it. It's basically white frost for your lips with gold shimmer. It looked so weird on me!

agreed! i don't know why colors like this exist out there. they look good on no one by themselves, so you end up changing the color with liner and gloss. what's the point in that when you can just get your "creation" color in the first place? if i'm gonna get a lipstick, its great to be able to change the color up, but i wanna have the option of wearing it solo and having it look good too!

I am actually a fan of super pale/weird lip colors, so I really want to try it. We have had the testers at my counter for a few weeks, but I haven't tried it yet and I'm on vacation right now so I guess I'll have to wait! But I am honestly interested in this one.

Yeah, it makes it much more versatile that way and less of a hassle! Because you can use it straight then! There's really no point in getting a frosty white color and turning it to a less frosty peach color, you could easily find another peachy color with pearl then!

yay! i got Magnetic Fields e/s today and have posted lots of swatches in the Swatch Thread
just wanted to show you all a quick shot of how wearable Magnetic Fields is with a light hand. i've got lots of yellow tones and i dont find this shade too cool for me. colour intensity is easy to build up too - in this picture, ive applied it lightly

I actually like these lighter colors because they are so versatile, you can wear them with almost any liner or gloss. I understand what you're saying about needing liner/gloss to make it work but I have almost no pigment in lips so I always wear a liner everyday. There are few lipsticks I can wear solo so for me it's not a big deal.

I'm still waiting for my order. EDIT: Yay! It arrived!! I love the orange packaging, only 'cause it's bright and I'm a sucker for bright. If it were a shade different I'd probably loathe it.
I was really worried that Spaced Out wasn't going to work for me after hearing a few people's experiences that were similar skin tones as myself. I LOOOVE it though, I may even need a backup. I'm NW15-20 and I was really surprised to see that on my cheeks it had lots of pink! It's really hard to see the orange in it on me, I was worried it would be too orange so that's awesome. It looked so dark in the pan but it went on really lightly. I'm extremely pale and I had to pack it on.
I put in my order for the Volcanic Ash and Evening Aura as soon as the VAE went online this morning (got my tendertones as well yay!). =) I talked myself into and out of Evening Aura at least 100 times but it's so gorgeous I just have to have it.

I received my package today with Evening Aura, Magnetic Fields, Time & Space, the the Microfine Lip Refinisher.
Not too wild about the e/s -- but I also have not played with them yet at all.
I love love love the lip refinisher! It makes my lips so soft and smooth!

I got Evening Aura and Magnetic Fields in-store today and I have to say I was so much happier with the color of orange packaging once I saw it in person. I thought it looked ugly online, but now that I see them in person, its a really pretty electric, bright orange.

I am going to get the Neon Sea bag today but I am going to try to stay away from the Neo Sci-Fi display because I need to save my money for cool heat. But I know once I get there I will have all of the recommendations in this thread wispering in my ear, "Get the VA exfoliator!" I don't think I will be able to leave without that one!

I got some stuff today! My counter was still missing the VAE, but that's OK, I'll just order it online. I got Pleasureseeker and Pink Grapefruit for lippies and I ended up getting Time & Space. It's so pretty - different enough from Woodwinked and Tempting, I swatched them both. I can't wait for my Magnetic Fields and Evening Aura to get here so I can play...they're on the UPS truck, so barring any tornadoes (lol, I wish I were kidding) they should be here early this evening!

Yeah, I checked this out, too. The sparkles were pretty, but it's that color that gives you a "dead" look...no one looks good dead even if there's a hint of sparkles. I was hoping it might have a hint of color so it was wearble, but nope, and ITA Erine, what's the point of having a lip color that you have to work with so much. I just like to slap that sh*t on and be on my merry way.
