that's probably why it's a pro product. i guess you can use it on your face/body, like make up for the tin man

i've been using it on my eyes without any problems

silver is pure aluminum powder, and as you have probably learnt in chemistry class, the mixture of aluminium powder + metal oxide is called a thermite. heating it up may cause an explosion, melting metals and lots of heat (a few thousand degrees) it's used to weld rails together on railroads. so yeah, don't put any type of rust in your silver pigment and definitely don't try to heat it up

I got mine today and they are gorgeous.
However, the texture is pretty different from other MAC mattes.
They are thiner, made of very very small particules.
So, if you put some pigment on without blending it, it is extra bright and the more you add some, the brighter it gets.
But if you blend the neon pigment, it can get pretty sheer.
The orange one gets actually really light and I am thinking as using it as a blush.
To avoid the color to be sheer, the mixing medium doesn't work. The color then doesn't have the same shade everywhere...

I tried other bases, the best might be the white CCB and to avoid blending to much. Just pack the pigment on the base and will stick without changing color. Don't use a coordinate shade: fuschia for neon fushcia pigment, the pigment will look different.
My favorite of all of these new neon is the green one, it has a yellow hue in it. Unique!

They have them at the Montreal Pro Store, and the Toronto Pro Store! Finally, MAC Canada hasn't completely failed us!

Normally I just lurk but since I've seen people wanting swatches a lot, here are some that I took with the samples the MA gave me yesterday.

Wow! Thanks girls for the great pics of the pigments! I think I am going to resort to getting samples of these when they become available. I wish I could say I would go through a whole jar of these neon pigments but I most likely never would. I can't wait to try the magenta pigment with a clear lipglass! That will be gorgeous!

hmm... the more i look at the swatches (thank you SOOOO much btw), the more i think maybe i will skip them all. i already have super bright magenta and orange star powders from MUFE, as well as full jars of primary yellow and marine ultra that i'll never finish. the pink one looks awkwardly coral to me, so i'm not interested at all, and the green doesn't look as bright as i want it to be. someone please prove me wrong (about the green)

Correct. I called on Friday and they didn't have them. The MA I spoke to said that she wasn't sure when they would get them in.
