MAC product specialists UNITE!!!

^^i get to help facilitate at mine =) our resident trainer is based out of our store and shes hosting update with our reginal trainer on sun and then our reginal is leaving so she asked me to help her facilitate on day 2, this will be my 3rd time helping her. i would like to eventually get into training but im in no rush, im totally down for her to just groom me.


our HK event is gonna be soooo sick!!! im really excited about it, i got some good things going on. ive hired a local designer to make the wild and mild kitty costumes, 2 local models, a local jewelry designer to make everyone custom HK jewelry and a photographer to come in and capture it all. everyone is working for gratis and we will advertise their buisness while they advertise our event in their stores or websites. we are gonna have 2 little girls with cat faces drawn on and little pink tutus passing out candy and cookies. we are all getting vinyl cat ears to wear. my other baby is our premier brunch. we arent one of the stores picked to do an unveiling, so the sunday before the collection launches before store hours we will host a brunch with strawberry muffins and juice and allow customers to preveiw and play with the products as well as pre-order their items. whew.... its gonna be big, now i just need to tweak the little details.

^^ wow, that sounds fantastic.

We're a tiny lil counter and arent really allowed to go all out with events

we werent even allowed to wear the fafi tights so not sure what HK will be like for us. Also, feather boas for DE were way too expensive so our PS didnt get any. We just rocked Gladiola lipstick... pretty good compromise for me

i work in podunk ass jacksonville florida. but she the thing is, sales are down, we had to lose 2 artists, so hell yeah im gonna beg borrow steal whatever i can to make our event the most kick ass it can be!!! i cashed in a lot of favors and did some networking, so i wont be coming out of pocket to much. we got our shirts today, god they are cute!!! im gonna split the store up in mild vs. wild kitties for the event, we are gonna be hot. and i will definatly share pics!

They're letting you guys do cat related stuff? Wow! For us they told us nothing cat themed, because hello kitty is a girl not a cat. Sanrio told MAC absolutly no Cat reference, no tarantino jewelry nothing.

You guys are lucky!! We were told no on everything like that.

We are all getting some Hello Kitty accessories from Hot Topic (bracelets, hair clips etc) and probably dressing as kitties with tutus

Today we had a hair stylist come in and do everyones hair to look like the big messy beehives for BBR.

well the product image of wild kitty shows her with vinyl cat ears so thats what we are wearing, we are going for a sexy "kitty grows up" look. i got everything approved through our MRO so i guess its all good. i think its because we are not a big city store like in NY, miami, LA, but we are just a store stuck in back asswards jacksonville. sales are so bad they want us to do everything we can to rock it out.

Same here we got a memo saying do not dress like a cat, now ears, whiskers, etc. We are not even allowed to wear anything with the Hello Kitty Logo on it. Just the T-Shirts provided to us.

so our store didnt get our HK product till a week after the launch so the whole event had to be redone the following weekend. but it was a success.

i did mild kittys makeup while our trainer sarina did wild kittys. the costumes were designed by three muses inspired clothing. we had little girls wearing the HK shirts like dresses with leggings stand with the models and pass out candy and HK valentines. every event i plan, i have to out do the next one. so.... any ideas for sugarsweet??

omg dood we already have girls making appts with us. i think im gonna have a prom theme day so we can wear poofy skirts and fun updos....maybe prom queen sashes...we'll see. i gotta incorporate cupcakes into it somehow

I just became Product Specialist for my counter last week and I have no idea what to do for our Sugar Sweet event. If any of you have any idea please let me know.

Someone told me I should assign each of the girls a type of cupcake like lemon Chifon, Red Velvet etc and have them do their makeup based on the type of cupcake. i thought that was ok but maybe to safe.

i am excited to do to product specialist update on the April 14th. Wish me luck!

so we are wearing the corp looks that weekend (whenever theres a launch our res trainer who is based out of our store has us do the corp looks). im having the girls wear cocktail party style dresses so they look "prom-esque". we are gonna have some models, cache will dress them and one of the salons in the mall will do up-dos. a local baker is making mini- cupcakes that will be passed out to customers.

Thats cool. I don't think our store is having a Level A event. Our event is going to be alot smaller I don't even think we are going to get the model. We are going to wear cocktail dresses as well with candy necklaces and bracelets. Since our event is going to be very small nothing like our Hello Kitty event.

yeah ours is small too, i just have a really supportive store manager who is really into image and she lets me do really fun events to boost business. everyone who is involved is getting "gratis' for helping out. and we are advertising for the salon and cache by having the models out front to greet customers and entice people to come in. its all about the numbers ya know!
