^ I never thought about that, but now that I do, what you are saying reminds of Benefit's Sexy Sweep or whatever they call it! The blush? and contour kit that leaves a harsh line between of course!

I just talked with a MAC MUA in NY and she suggested Emphasize/bone beige - the first in the photo with the lighter looking powder. I am NW15
Hope that helps!

Don't worry, the picture posted above makes them appear darker than what they really look like. The two first ones would be ideal for an NW15/20 complexion.

Were they released with the R. Welsh Collection last year?

I wish someone could give me some leads on which of the duos is most approriate for my coloring so I have something to look forward to. I kind of just want the individuals. I wonder if anyone at the Pro # can help me out.

I called the NY Pro store, where you could also order the singles. She was so nice & extremely helpful. She asked questions about my skin color & then also explained what colors were in the powders so we could choose what was best for me.

Yes, the #169 and the #223 were released with the Raquel Welch Collection. They are both made of synthetic bristles. The #223 is usually recommended as a crease brush, but it doesn't come close to the #222. The color intensity is inferior, in my opinion. I'm still excited about the fact that it's being rereleased, it's an amazing undereye concealer brush.

Can someone post some contouring instructions? I've never tried contouring but would like to learn. I have a heart-shaped face, but a bit on the round side. Thanks!

For starters, contouring should usually follow the natural low points of the face (under the cheek bones, temples, the jawline, the sides of the nose, etc.) I usually just contour my cheek bones with an angled brush, following the natural line up to my temples (making the fishy face helps.)

Color me confused, but are these just PRO exclusives or are they promoting these in all MAC markets?

Here is a face chart/guide to highlighting and contouring. I got this from another makeup forum a long while ago. Hope it helps.

oh i have the goat hair contour and the R welsh brushes-i prefer the white regular brush...but for precise application and blending get the 109 brush! it's the best everrrrf- i had to get back ups because it's so good that if i ever not had it i would quit make-up lol!!

Though I suppose it would be bigger than a MES of course hehe. The blush pot itself isn't so large though...

they are blush sized

169 is a little bigger and softer than 168. and it's made of synthetic hair instead of goat hair. i find this brush picks up less pigment and gives a softer look compare to 168. but overall they are VERY similar

Bone beige is warmer than sculpt, right? I'm a little afraid of it turning orange on me. How does sculpt compare to Emote from Smoke Signals?
