MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

I'm back from my Wedding week in Vegas! Since the store is pro in Ceasars I was able to swatch and buy a few days before my wedding. I freaked out thinking everything would be gone. I called ahead and she said everything was there. I got to the store and she was like "Are you the one that called?" There was tons of everything left, I was so surprized. I walked to the MAC store with a purpose! lol I was SO excited to see this collection.

Clarity mes- I actually think this is one of my favs! It's SO stunning! I love the multicolor shimmer. It's just so awesome! Liba was so right on this one...as I knew she would be I got one with not as much black in it, but it still has just enough. And I can also put it over a darker base
Hint of Sapphire mes- So pretty, its all I was hoping for. It has a good amount of pink and blue veining so I get this pink blue color with a tinge of purple. LOVE LOVE IT!
Unsurpassable mes- This color is bonkers! I picked one with both green and blue veins. Liba wasnt kidding when she said you can get like 4 diff types of colors from this. Kinda wish I wouldnt have gotten one with not as much blue though. Theres quite a bit.
Golden Gaze mes- What more can you say? It's the perfect gold!
I was actually thinking maybe the mes's will work well over Too Faced glitter glue primer? Esp for colors like Clarity. If so I think I might pick it up. What do you think? Also cause I really wanted to get some pigments from Illamasqua but was worried about glitter fallout.
Gem of Roses l/s- Its sooooo pretty! no wonder it got such rave reviews! It's actually quite pigmented on my lips.
Lush Ambur l/s- nice nudey color, it too shows up pretty well on me. Nothing amazing but I still like it

Then I went back the next day and picked up...
Crystal Pink MSF- This was my fav out of them. My By Candelight broke so thats apart of the reason I got it. It is pretty frosty so I use a very light hand. I put it over my blush for my wedding and it gave a soft pretty glow. Pearl reminded me of my Triple Fusion MSF and I have enough pink cheek colors to not get Rose Quartz.
234 Brush- I got it cause you guys have said it works well with the mes's which it does. Pat with one side and blend with the other, love it. And its so soft!

I wanted to get more mes but felt these were my must haves. And hopefully the others will be around for a while. I am thinking Jades Fortune and Rare Find still (pale, light brown eyes, dark hair, yay or nay?). I was trying not to over do it on MAC since Vegas has that huge Sephora. I got a few Mufe Aqua Creams (which I was messing with yesterday with my mes's and they work VERY well with them) I got the blue and green one. Got the blue and purple liquid glitter liners from Stila, I still want the green/teal one, they were sold out. The purple makeup bag from Urban Decay. A Kat Von D set, it had the True Love palette, a lipstick, eyeliner, and two primers for 54$, it was a great deal. A Sephora brand lipstick (which I dont think I'll be doign again, they dont taste good at all LOL) and a lipliner brush. I'm so glad I got one of these! It's great for all my pesky lipsticks like Playing Koi. It's easier to build up the colors. Coach Poppy Rollerball (couldnt afford a bottle) Oh and the sweet girl at the MUFE area gave me a sample of the MUFE HD foundation, I cant wait to try it! I spend way too much money but its my wedding present lol

Sorry this post is so long. I am still on a Wedding high and its my b-day today as well (which as you get older its not so great anymore haha) I was excited to tell everyone bout my hauls. It was an amazing Wedding day! I am still on cloud nine, I love my hubby so much...I get to call him that now! Yay

So i did a looks today with unsurpassable (inner lid) and jade's fortune (outer lid) as said one is pretty green and the other quite green too lol so they looks quite similar. not sure i should keep both...

i put rule e/sto warm up the look so i can wear my paradise blush and on lips ever hip blotter and richer lusher cremesheen.

[/quote] I was just thinking...mac don't post to Ireland but when I can't to a counter I ring the department store that stocks them and they take my order over the phone. It may be worth your while seeing if a store will do this for you cause you could describe exactly the veining you want ...

I went to the counter and asked the MUA if I could see all the Golden Gaze e/s because I wanted one that had more gold to it. They were all pretty dark but I managed to pull the one that had the most gold in it. She looked at me like I had 3 heads but I got what I wanted

GORGEOUS makeup look MrsB! Also, your hair looks so cute like that =]

Here is the look I mentioned earlier with Mineral Mode and Rare Find, I have CP middle puddle as a blush and the outer ring as an all over highlight. I think mineral mode and rare find create a lovely polished day time look, with a slightly more modern twist on a taupe smokey eye as although the pictures don't show it, there is a hint of purple when it hits the light. I have GoR on my lips.

MAC-Guy - I have been off in lala-land apparently!!!

Shadowaddict - I got one with a nice mixture of everything, not too much black & a good amount a pink. Mine is STUNNING! I will take a picture of it shortly.

So I FINALLY made my order last night with Nordies. I got my BU of Pearl MSF, Goldstone MSF, Pressed Amber mineralize blush & I did cave & order Faux Gold. I hope the MSF's I ordered have big nipples, lol!

I am going to call the Macy*s around the corner for me & see if Gem of Roses is still there, if not, oh well. I am not dying to have it. It looks really pretty on everyone that got it, but like I have said before, I will wear it a handful of times & then it will just sit in my l/s container.

I don't think I could ask to see eyeshadow and choose what I want... ahahah it would be really weird here it's like returning make up... to my eyes it's everything very strange and I don't know if it's just me or if it's the modus operandi here in Italy ...

I got Crystal Pink to complete my family of MSF, and I found Feeling Flush with the most beautiful brown veining.

I dunno, I'd feel weird asking to see them before buying or returning makeup too, and I'm an American.

I only ask to see the product when I buy mineralize collections (and most MUA seem to be very understanding due to the great variety in veining) and if a product is prone to have a flaw, e.g. melted gold nuggets in the STO stack or a misprint of the Hibiscus flower on My Paradise (my friend ended up with only half of an overspray).
