Very true! I think most stores would be a bit doubtful if you walked in with tons of B2M. I think I have done 5 at most, usually less. And that was a store that really knew me. I'd ask your store's policies before you even take your B2M in. I know that the store typically would only take 3 at a time (so 18 empties), but let that slide the one time.

I was kinda iffy on that as well but from other pics I have seen (not the ones on specktra) it looks like a silver grayish color with a hint of gold when its on the skin. Not in the pot. And to me, it does look like a gunmetal shade. And you know how different a lot of shadows can be on the skin than in the pot. And we have to also keep in mind that, colors look entirely different on different skin tones. I have a feeling that this is one of them. I agree, it will probably be warmer. So maybe if Knight Divine and Woodwinked had a baby? lol

Do you gals/guys think Bold & Brazen could be a dupe for Brash from the upcoming Cult of Cherry spiced chocolate quad? I really like both but is it me or do they look similar?

and maybe Glamour Check is a frostier/shimmery version of Spiced Chocolate?... gahh because they look so pretty and I can't decide... frosty or matte?

OMG, that's so many! Just a heads up that Yorkdale might not take them if you were thinking of going there. I've been warned twice there that depots aren't taken but they did the two last times I brought them in. I think Scarborough Town might be a bit iffy on them too but I haven't had any issues with them (yet).

i wish there's a store/counter in Ottawa that would take them

Girls, I'm so sad/mad. I can't order this collection as soon as I would have liked because some dumb fuck stole my credit card info and charged it! So consequently I had to cancel my card, my only form of payment.

Damn, not only am I getting no makeup, I can't get food, gas, etc. Pooooooo. I realllllly want Smoke & Diamonds. Oh well. I'm sure it will be there in 2 more weeks.

i went to the pro the store in ny this thursday. i already posted swatches, which i'm sure you guys have seen by now.

here are my thoughts:
the texture of these is spectacular, but as always some shadows were better than others. a lot of the colors were dupe-able and look similar to colors that i already have. i got top hot and smoke & diamonds. i was going to get glamour check but it didn't look like the reddish brown i was hoping for. it looks similar twinks, though twinks has more purple.

the colors no doubt are lovely, and i would have gotten more [they are colors that a gravitate towards] but i had to use my better judgement. on my skin bold and brazen look like a more toned down version of expensive pink, star by night = freshwater, mink & sable = sumptuous olive & talent pool = shimmermoss etc. the thing about the dupes is that they also have great textures so i can't use that as an excuse to get these. i may go back and get dreammaker though because i don't have anything similar.

i also got raven & feline [i already have orpheus]. i used feline yesterday and i love it. it soooo black and smooth. where has it been all my life?

i may get a backup when i go back home.

i was actually able to b2m two e/s pots plus four other items at yorkdale last week. i think it depends on the MA who takes them in. i b2m at scarborough town centre a few months back with empty e/s pots as well.

I was at the counter today to tell my MA what I want from Colour Forms and Starflash. She has confirmed we will get them next Saturday, August 2nd.

I have a "date" with her then at 11 AM

I'm also in Ottawa and I asked the freestanding in Rideau if they took them and the tall guy who works there said they do. However, when I took my depots there a few days later the MA wouldn't take them

I'm going to Toronto this weekend so I'll take my empties to the Pro Store, I hope I have more luck there...

I'm think I'll get 5 e/s from this collection with my empties: Smoke and Diamonds, Mink and Sable, Sunset B and the other two I yet have to decide.

Thanks for this review. I feel much better passing on Talent Pool now. I might just skip the shadows altogether and get the kholpowers which I know I'll use and love.

Saw these today and ended up passing on them. As previously mentioned the texture is very nice but the colors were a little boring (and in most cases easily dupable). The only one I MAY go back and get is Smoke and Diamonds and Mystery liner (I have the others). Not any real must haves if your bank account is still stinging from recent hauls. Bring on CoC!!

i don't really think these shadows were necessary, tbh. almost all of them are easily duped with permanent mac products. i did, however, get my hands on mink and sable (sumptuous olive's twin) i loved the colour, but liked the name mink and sable better than sumptuous olive, so i opted for the starflash one.

I think Top Hat is what Fertile should have been. I found Fertile a bit disappointing - looked great in the pan, try it on the skin and just where did that purple go? Top Hat keeps that purple shade better, so you don't just seem to just get the charcoal undertone.

Star By Night - no, not like Cool Flame as it does not have that greenish tone. More like a cross between Contrast and Flashtrack. Like a blackened blue, with deeper royal blue pearl over.

The texture on some of these was really creamy, they had a cushiony feel to them. Not all of them though, some were more like a standard frost type in feel.

I got: Go (really gorgeous creamy cushiony feel, cool golden bronze), Smoke & Diamonds (smokey taupe with shimmer), Mink & Sable (muted olive with subtle gold) and Dreammaker (white and gold - kind of what I thought Solar White would be, but that one seemed more pink/white and gold, and this is a white/gold and more sparkly and less pearly than Solar White too). Orpheus Kohl Power seemed a natural partner to these, so I had that too.

Talent Pool (like Cool Heat but sheer, and like a blue base with greenish pearl shimmer on top), Top Hat, Star By Night, Glamour Check (brown with coppery bronze) and Bold and Brazen (coppery but with a more sheer and shimmery quality) also stood out. Glamour Check (like Go) had the most beautiful creamy texture. Top Hat and Star by Night both have a really nice charcoal undertone, with pearl colour over this (like the Kohl Power pencils in an eyeshadow).

Sunset B - reminded me of Living Pink a lot (vivid rose, with gold frost) - great pink for a warmer complexion

Lotus Land - quite a pinky mauve with very pretty multi sparkles, lovely for those who can wear a cool tone shade

Grand Entrance a pretty peachy gold, and very reflective

Another collection to try in person if you can. Far more interesting than it looked from the visuals, as some of these are managing to pull off the multi-pearl element that Mac have been trying with the recent limited lipglass and lipstick shades. The new Starflash texture seems a little hit and miss. The best seem to combine the creamy feel of a veluxe pearl with a little of the sparkle of a lustre and the shimmer of a frost. The others could have been a standard frost eyeshadow - pretty shades, but otherwise not out of the ordinary. A bit more work is needed on the others to make them special, if they are to keep this formula.

Will be real interesting to see if they take these further!

Do go try them, as with Sonic Chic, the visuals underestimate these!
