I keep going back and forth on what I want from this collection while trying to limit the damage. I'm getting so confused that I may get nothing! lol

Yesterday I wore Fertile from the Colour Forms warm palette (not same as Fertile from Strange Hybrid) all over the lid, with Top Hat in the crease. I finished with highlights using the frosty white color from the warm palette at the inner V and brow bone. It was so smokey and soft! I got so many compliments. Luckily all my customers were more neutral ladies because if they wanted that look they would be disappointed since I work in Macy's! No Colour Forms for us!!

Okay so because of everyone in this lovely blog i finally went to mac. It has been along time for me, i have not been there in like two months since the friends and family discount. So i was so excited to try out all the things I missed out on in the past collection. And conclusion i can to was that i really did not need anything from the new blush mineralized blush collection or the mineralized eyeshadow collection either. But when it came to the STARFLASH collection my credit card was on fire. I came home with 3 eyeshadows from this collection and 2 eye kohls. TOP HAT, BOLD & BRAZEN, & SUNSET B. PLUS, I got 2 FELINE eye kohls. yeah!!!!

O and last night i wore FELINE as a base for TOP HAT on my lid, in my crease i wore A LITTLE FOLIE, & for a highlight i wore BOLD & BRAZEN. Lets just say the look was hot and sexy. If I do say so my self next time i will take pics of my look and post them.

I'm sorry, not Need anything from Sonic Chic blushes,

. I am in love with the things. Plus sometimes Need, doesn't factor into my vocab. when at MAC, Restraint, more like it as in somebody get me a restraint jacket.

I see alot of people are skipping Talent Pool because they have enough blues, but I only have Electric Eel and was thinking of picking up maybe Shimmermoss or Parrot so what would you all suggest between those two and Talent Pool?

Yeah i know, usually i am like that at mac too! I often need a restraint. My lovely MA's usually help me. I often come in and before i even look at anything, the first thing they say to me is " okay kenya what is the budget looking like for today." And my MA's love me so much that they help stick to that budget. But yesterday i came under budget majorly and it was crazy. I was shocked and so was my MA. But getting back to the blushes i was shocked that i did not like them.

I just got into blushes like 3 months ago and i already know like 8 of them. So i was suprised that nothing tickled my fancy. Either did the mineralize eyeshadows I thought they all were beautiful but not for me.

The UPS person brought mine late yesterday afternoon, and when I got my first look at "Smoke and Diamonds," I managed not to wet myself, as threatened, but I know my mouth hung open.

It is everything I'd hoped for, and more!

I thought I'd found my HG shimmery deep taupe in "Magnetic Fields" from Neo sci-fi, but "Smoke & Diamonds" is soo much better for me!

There's just no other shadow quite like it!
It's similar in color to "French Grey," which is fabulous for me, but "Smoke & Diamonds" is smoother, and has that wonderful pearly sheen!
This one NEEDS to be permanent!
I plan to write a groveling semi-coherent e-mail to MAC, begging them to make this shade permanent.

What are dignity and self-respect, compared to really great eyeshadow?

Ahhh stop it! I can't wait for my package to arrive, and am just holding my breath hoping it gets here today! MAC sends my pkgs via USPS so I have no idea when it will come!

I am getting S&D and the more I hear about it the more I want it like NOW!

Thanks for the help. I'm definently eyeing Top Hat since I missed out on Fertile; Smoke & Diamonds looks promising, but I'm not too keen on uber frosty silvers. I'll be passing on Talent Pool since I already got my teal kick with Cool Heat.

Shimmermoss is so much more green, and even Parrot is a bit more green in comparison to Talent Pool. I passed on Talent Pool since I have both of those, but if I didn't, I'd probably go for Shimmermoss and Talent Pool since they are on the ends of the teal spectrum. You could probably mix the two and get pretty close to Parrot if you ever wanted to.

I came home today with 4 more - Mink & Sable (I don't have SO), Dream Maker, Talent Pool & Bold & Brazen. LOVE!! I tried a nice fall look with M&S (crease), B&B (lid), Royal Flush p/g from Nordie's collection, Grand Entrance (highlight, inner <) and Top Hat to deepen the crease. Lined with Orpheus. I just can't get enough of these - like many of you I'm hoping the formula becomes permanent and that they add more colors in the future!

I made a quick stop by MAC today and took another quick look at these eyeshadows. I have to agree with others on here that commented on the texture of Lotusland. I was quite surprised actually, because the only one's I actually tested before purchasing on thurs. were Mink & Sable, S & D, B & B, Grand Entrance and Glamour Check and the texture on all of these was super creamy and smooth. I tested Talent Pool and Lotusland today, and found both of these to be inferior texture wise, especially Lotusland. Dreammaker wasn't horrible, but again not quite as great as the darker shades and Grand Entrance. I also tested Sunset B again since a few people mentioned this one also felt chalky, but I personally didn't think this was bad at all. IMO, it has a much much better texture than a few other pinks in the perm. collection.

I'm pretty sure I would have picked up another one or two of these today if the texture on them was consistent. Though I did pick up Orpheus e/l... gorgeous!

I tested all my peach/coppery shadows, and I am here to proclaim that:
Revved Up p/g, Falling Star e/s, Mythology e/s, Expensive Pink is no dupe for BOLD AS BRAZEN. Get it, buy it. love it.

i only got two e/s bc as i stated on page 52.. some things were too similar and i just couldnt justify getting em without actually seeing the difference on my eye while blended. the differences are more apparent when swatched.. but my thing is, on my eye.. will i notice? so i passed on all but two. BUT after using those two e/s.. in my FOTD which i just posted.. i think i might run back and pick up the ones i passed on before. though color isnt different, the low amount of time it took to just apply and blend was CRAZY. i mean, i love frosts bc those things are so easy to blend. but these new formulas.. its definitely on the go makeup worthy.

I ended up only ordering Smoke + Diamonds. I'm really really trying to show some restraint until Cult of Cherry. I still can't believe that I managed to pass up a Teal AND a Blue eye shadow!
